This week, our month long look at International horror continues in our LIMITED series RANT around the world, when the Nobodies watch and discuss the South Korean film, I Saw the Devil. When a vicious and psychotic serial killer, Jang, brutally murders the wife of a secret agent, Kim, a twisted game of cat and mouse unfolds as the widowed Kim seeks to inflict the most intense form of revenge possible on his wife's killer. But has he underestimated his victim? This film is not for the feint of heart, but if over the top, gorey revenge tales are your thing, we highly recommend this week's film.

The Devil's Backbone
It's a new month and that means a new LIMITED series on TCR. For the month of August the Nobodies are dipping into the wonderful wide world of International horror films in a series titled RANT Around the World. They kick off this trip around the globe with a little film by visionary director Guillermo del Toro, The Devil's Backbone. Set during the Spanish Civil War, a home for orphaned boys is plagued by a ghost the children call "the one who sighs." Newcomer Carlos must win over Jaime and the rest of the boys and uncover the secret of "the one who sighs." Meanwhile Jacinto, a young man raised at the home since he was a boy, has his eyes set on a stash of secret gold, and will stop at nothing to get it. This is modern gothic horror told only the way del Toro can.

When the Exorcist 2: The Heretic was a monumental disappointment, the studio went back to the well and created a direct sequel to the first film, that ignored entirely the existence of the follow up.
In The Exorcist III, Pazuzu is back, but this time may have bonded with the soul of a serial killer, and then possessed father Karras, but is in a mental ward at a hospital, but can also possess other people to do his killing??? It's worth it for Brad Dourif, alone, but this sequel boasts a lot more than that, including one of the greatest jump scares of all time. Find out why this film has such a large cult following, as your hosts break it down, and explain why sometimes sequels are great.

The Lost Boys
This week, it's the 'NALE, and the Nobodies are closing out their Pride Month limited series with a BIG'N, The Lost Boys. This glammed up, big budget, coming of age vampire tale is almost as sexy as a greasy, shirtless saxophone player. It's one of the best 80's movies ever. It's one of the best vampire movies ever. And it's just one of the best movies ever. It's a classic for about a million reasons. Listen as we try and discuss them all.
