In this episode, I interview Sarah Thomas, PhD. Sarah has a very impressive resume as a #connectededucator. One of the greatest accomplishments is founding of EduMatch, EduMatch Publishing and the EduMatch Podcast Network. Edumatch "uses the power of social media in order to help foster collaboration and connections among educators around the globe. We understand that relationships are the foundations for learning, even for us as educators." ( http://www.edumatch.org/ )

Sarah-Jane Thomas, PhD is a Regional Technology Coordinator in Prince George’s County Public Schools. Sarah is also a Google Certified Innovator, Google Education Trainer, and founder of the EduMatch project, which promotes connection and collaboration among educators around the world. Through EduMatch, Sarah has published several collaborative and individual books, and serves as President on the Board of Directors for EduMatch Foundation, Inc. Sarah is also on the leadership team of the ISTE Digital Equity PLN, and Affiliate Faculty at Loyola University in Maryland. Sarah is a co-author of the ISTE publication series, Closing the Gap, focusing on digital equity.
Sarah graduated from George Mason University with a doctoral degree in Education, and a concentration in International Education. She also holds a Master’s degree from Howard University in the field of Curriculum and Instruction.
Sarah was designated an ASCD Emerging Leader in 2016, and was named Prince George's County Public Schools Outstanding Educator Using Technology in 2015. She was named by the National School Board Association as one of the “20 to Watch” in 2015. She was part of the Technical Working Group that refreshed the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) Standards for Educators in 2016-2017, and in 2017, she received the ISTE “Making IT Happen” Award.

In this episode I interview Dr. Matthew X. Joseph. He is a wonderfully connected educator and shares how his connections have allowed him to form #connectededucator relationships with others which have pushed him forward in his career.
Dr. Matthew X. Joseph has been a school and district leader in many capacities in public education over his 25 years in the field. Experiences such as the Director of Digital Learning and Innovation in Milford Public Schools (MA), elementary school principal in Natick, MA and Attleboro, MA, classroom teacher, and district professional development specialist have provided Matt incredible insights on how to best support teaching and learning. This experience has led to nationally published articles and opportunities to speak at multiple state and national events. He is the author of Power of Us: Creating Collaborative Schools and co-author of Modern Mentoring, Reimagining Teacher Mentorship (Due out, fall 2019). Twitter (Part 1): CEP005
Twitter is an amazing networking tool. With twitter you have the ability to connect with individuals, small organizations or companies, and my favorite, to participate in events that are hosted by individuals or small teams to create collaboration opportunities (through a twitter chat, for example). In this episode, learn more about how to get started with twitter including account set up, how to follow accounts and how #'s (hashtags) work! I also share a few implementation ideas for twitter within the classroom.

Three Tips for Connectivity: CEP002
In this podcast, I share three tips that I've learned on my connected educator journey, sort of a "rule of thumb" when deciding who I follow and allow to friend me.
