Here at CCW safety and awareness are some of our top priorities, so for the month of April Citizens’ Crime Watch will be participating in the National Child Abuse Prevention month. Nearly 700,000 children are abused in the U.S each year. An estimated 678,000 children were victims of abuse and neglect in 2018. That’s about 1% of kids in a given year. Each week we’ll be highlighting one of the four major forms of Child Abuse; Physical Abuse, Sexual Abuse, Neglect, and Emotional Abuse. Each post will contain a detailed overview of each type, the ways to identify them and how to help. If we as a community work together and spread awareness we can help the lives of so many children across the United States.
