Houston Cougars X-Factor
Houston struggled mightily on one side of the football last year, and Dana Holgorsen wasted little time addressing those concerns. Transfer talent plays a big role in the turnaround this season, and the Coogs defense could be a good group. With a full season under their belts, the returners should line up correctly more often and feel more comfortable in the scheme.

Everyone seems to be buying the hype surrounding Spencer Rattler, and the marriage of Oklahoma's new quarterback with Lincoln Riley figures to be set for greatness. Rattler's competitive nature will either elevate the Sooners or rub guys the wrong way. Either way, it's going to be entertaining.
What's next for Tate Martell?
Tate Martell was one of the best quarterbacks coming out of high school, but now he's struggling to play his position. What's next for the former four star? He's lost the starting quarterback job twice at Miami, and it's tough to see him thriving at a new position. If he can use his skillset to create space, the Canes will be in great hands offensively.
UCF's Road to Redemption
UCF and Dillon Gabriel have plenty to prove this year, and they're ready to do just that. Gabriel thrived as a freshman, but there are changes he can make to get better. Even with McKenzie Milton returning, Gabriel is the more talented quarterback, and it's just a matter of how Josh Heupel wants to use both of them.
