S3E14: 2023, Are We Out of the Woods Yet? - Year End Review
I’ve started the 3rd season of The Big Opening Podcast with Christian Foremost with a new format this year. Instead of pre-planning specific questions, I wanted the conversation to be more casual and free-flowing. I wanted to interview my guests: bloggers, podcasters, influencers, and people from different walks of life about existential topics revolving around CAREER AND PASSION, LOVE AND LUST, and LIFE AND PURPOSE. Maybe it’s my time to share with you guys exactly what happened in my life around those 3 areas.

S2E24: Regrets with Hideki Joseph, Dancer and Choreographer
Regrets, we all have them. Certain memories from the past haunt us to this day. If we only knew then what we know now, things would have turned out better.
For the season finale episode of the podcast, we’re talking "regrets" with my friend, Hideki Joseph, Freelance Dancer, and Choreographer. We learn more about Hideki and how he navigates regrets for Career, Love, and Life. I had such a fun time getting to know Hideki through our talk and I hope that good things are about to come our way!
We can’t turn back time, but we can move forward and learn from our experience. Use your regrets to grow, and become a wiser and stronger version of yourself. Maybe things happen for a reason and you’re exactly where you need to be.

S2E23: Self Acceptance with Gresson Peiffer, Author of Sharing My Light & Healing Energy
Would you give yourself a hug if you could? “Accepting Yourself”, as redundant as it sounds, it's actually harder to apply in real life. We tend to be our own worst critics, hard on ourselves than on everybody else.
Gresson Piefer, author of Sharing My Light and Healing Energy joins us on this episode of the podcast. She shares about her childhood and what she’s learned about self-acceptance growing up.
I hope we all love the people in the mirror staring back at us. Be patient and understanding of yourself. Nobody’s perfect. Know that you’re human with flaws and it’s okay to make mistakes. Right now, you’re doing great!

S2E18: Talking about Forever with Hannah Ty from Asking for a Friend Podcast
Things change. Nothing is meant to stay the same. People come and go. We grow day by day and venture through our own journeys in life. Time only moves forward, and then we die.
If our time here on earth is only temporary, is there really such a thing as “forever”?
Hannah Ty from Asking for a Friend Podcast joins us for this episode as I unload my abandonment issues and contemplate humanity’s existence on this plane once again. She shares her own perspective when it comes to growth, time and how she still believes that there is such a thing as “forever”.
I guess that this is just a part of growing up, right? Maybe what matters the most is making sure that we make the most of our short time here on earth. Have a great life everyone!

S2E17: Being Enough with Marge Villaester from Struggles of a 20 Something Podcast
Do you also question your self-worth on a consistent basis? It seems like the older we get, the more we have to prove. We put so much pressure on ourselves just because of the expectations from society and the people around us. After everything we’ve been through and how far we’ve come, why can’t we ever be enough?
Marge Villaester, the host of Struggles of a 20 Something by Marge Villaester joins us this week to share her thoughts on what “being enough” means for her under CAREER, LOVE, and LIFE. She gives us insight into what she thinks "being enough" means from what she learned in her own personal grown journey.
I don’t think that there’s definitely one correct answer to the question of "Am I enough?" or if there really is one. Maybe all of us are enough by default, but we’re the ones who have to convince ourselves of that. Just don’t be so hard on yourself, okay? Be kind.

S2E16: Defining Success with Bob Quilapio from The IV Project Podcast
Everybody wants to be successful, but we all have different definitions of success. Should you already be proud of how far you’ve come or is there still work needed to be done? Maybe the answer to both of these questions is YES!
Bob, a businessman, former radio DJ, voice talent, and the host of The IV Project podcast gets real on what success means to him. He shares his own perspective about "being a work-in-progress" based on his personal life experiences. As a young adult just starting my journey, my eyes were open and I was able to see how my definition of success may vary one of these days

S2E15: Introvert and Ambivert vs Social Situations with Scods from So Odds with Scods
Let’s talk about talking to people. As an introvert with circumstantial social anxiety and limited social knowledge, it was a true learning experience getting perspective from an ambivert and discussing how the modern world is changing the way we humans interact with each other.
Joining me in this episode is Scods from So Odds with Scods, an animator who identifies as an ambivert and an ENFJ. She describes what her life is like being an ambivert - both enjoying her alone time reading books, and also being in the field communicating with different people. She also shared valuable communication tips and perspectives you guys wouldn’t want to miss!
Everyone has their own preference in terms of social interactions. Some people’s social battery run out faster than others. Also, we choose our friends based on our common interests, compatibility, wavelength, and whatever else. Despite all of this, it’s still important to remember to treat everybody with respect, compassion, and empathy.

Do you guys know what a social battery is? A social battery according to The Quill, describes “a person’s extent to mingle with groups of people in one setting”.
Well, my social battery happens to have a very short lifespan and takes quite a while to recharge.

Expectations bring disappointment.
With hope, comes hurt.
Love leads to heartbreak.

S2E08: I Can't Do It Anymore - Should I Give Up?
Ladies and gentlemen, it seems like we've gotten a bit lost. Also, we've run out of fuel and the train is slowly coming to a halt.
The journey started a couple of years ago and truly, we've come a long way!
In my head, I could still picture our destination clear as day. I thought I knew how to get there, but maybe I was fooling myself when I thought I had it all figured out.
Apparently, I don't have what it takes. I'm just not “it” and maybe that's something I should just accept at this point?

Siargao has changed me slowly, but purposefully. I wrote this blog a day after our plane touched down back in Manila. You see, I did some soul-searching and Siargao helped me see a couple of things that I needed to realize at this point in my life.
