Let's get punk. What does punk mean though? Well... a lot of things. Some of which get covered in this small indie film about coming of age as a punk in Salt Lake City (that's what the SLC stands for!). Bron is back on the show to talk through this cult classic, and it's a punk rocking good time.

The deep dive into Paul Thomas Anderson continues, and Kurt is back once again to talk to Jake about the man himself. This week, it's a look at perhaps his most ambitious project of all, and blindingly paced three hour epic with roughly fifty central characters. It's a lot!

Jake watched this film a long time ago and formed his entire personality around it. Justin is watching it for the first time. Does it hold up? Does the humor still hit for Jake? Can Justin stand two hitmen who don't do any killing and instead stroll around Bruges talking about their feelings? Listen to find out.

Malakai has seen it previously, and really liked it. Jake has never seen it. Well, you don't have to leave those questions unanswered, because Baz Luhrmann's Romeo + Juliet exists to answer the call. It's Jake first time witnessing this spectacle. A real blast from the past this week, Rob is back on the show! But for real, we are all the way back in the 40's this week, with 1946's A Matter of Life and Death. Jake's first introduction to the British directing duo of Powell and Pressburger, and what an introduction it is. The two dig into the film, talk about what works, what doesn't hold up, and then Jake waxes a lot of poetic about how the movie is secretly gay. It's a good time!

Robert De Niro. Edward Norton. Marlon Brando. Angela Bassett. One last job. Legends on the take. Frank Oz directing. What else could you want? Maybe... a better story. Jake and Justin waltz through this forgotten early 2000's film and see just how it came to be forgotten. They figure it out pretty quickly, but it's still a fun episode, so... check it out!

It's not 23, but isn't that other stuff crazy??? Justin and Jake try to get to the bottom of this mysterious 23 business, and most of all, just try to find out if this movie has been unfairly maligned over the years or not. We give it 23 thumbs, but we aren't telling you which way they point, you'll have to listen to find out.

Jake does a more casual style of review of the original Nosferatu, Shadow of the Vampire, and talks a little about the new Nosferatu film. It's all very chill.

I hope you're having a better afternoon than the folks in this movie. Justin and Jake have both never seen this bleak... heist? vehicle for Al Pacino from back in the day, and they definitely had some different opinions about it. And they definitely do a lot of Pacino impressions. So check it out.

A pretty formative movie for a lot of people getting exposed to the Goblin King Jareth and his really tight pants, but how does it hold up for someone seeing it the first time? Jake and Justin believe in fitness, and you should too. Fitness this whole podcast straight to your eardrums. A little off the beaten path today, and into the beautiful garden/treasure trove that is this movie. Jake admits his Schrader ignorance, and Robert brings the hard questions as the two dive through this wild biopic.

Faye is back. Eco-warriors are trying to turn all of Jupiter's moon into monkeys. The Space Warriors call their leader Mom and it's kind of weird. Do Spike and Jet finally get paid? No! But hey, Jake is gonna talk about it, so check it out.

It's Justin's turn to see something he's never seen before, and I'm not just talking about Patrick Swayze's ass. Jake decided it was time to cover Road House, and so they do, kind of. It sure seemed like Sam Elliot was in this movie a lot more than he actually is. He still rules though.
