Climate Bonds Café: Solutions beyond the farm-gate
Think about the food in your kitchen... A lot of us look at the nutritional information when we buy food, but not the carbon footprint.
While us as consumers may even avoid certain food groups with an environmental rationale, wouldn't you like to see changes across the food value chain, which can mitigateemissions at post-production levels, all the things the consumers can’t control product-to-product?
With post-farm emissions rising rapidly, a publicconsultation process started earlier this year for the Climate Bonds Food Value Chain Criteria. And to celebrate its launch, we discuss the finer details with Sustainability Analyst Aishwarya Sankar.
