Episode 1 of The Coach Potatoes Podcast
In this bumper first episode, Lara and Andrew discuss everything from what coaching means to us, the pandemic, LinkedIn, perfectionism, imposter syndrome, and mentoring. We answer one of your questions and our quote of the podcast.
We commence the episode with a discussion on coaching, what it is, the origins of coaching, what it means to us and what topics clients bring to coaching.
We then look at perfectionism and the feeling that many people have of feeling like a fraud or an imposter. We discuss what it is, how it impacts people and what you can do to manage your own perfectionist tendencies or feelings of being an imposter.
We take a look at LinkedIn’s new feature of showing that you’re “open to work” - should you or shouldn’t you use this feature? We also talk about the importance of networking.
Poetry (believe it or not) makes an appearance in this episode as we unpack our “quote of the podcast”. This quote is all about personal wounds and what they mean to us.
In our ‘ask the Coach Potatoes’ segment we look at the difference between coaching and mentoring and formal and informal mentoring. In the mentoring section we mention protege.asia
