The resurrection of Jesus Christ is the basis for the new birth. If you have put your faith and trust in Jesus Christ then you have been united with Him in death and raised to new life in Him!

Where do we look when we feel division creeping into the local church? Paul points the Corinthians to the cross of Christ where the wisdom and power of God are on full display. This is where we are united together - on the blood stained ground of Calvary. Join us as we study the Wisdom of God.

What causes division in the local church? When we take a step back and we take a broad look at the Church - or even just at the local testimony - we see many divisions. This plague of division is not a new issue. We learn that the church in Corinth suffered from many errors that caused division amongst the saints. In order to be a Christ-honoring testimony, this plague of division must be dealt with.

What does unity look like in the local church? The church at Corinth was facing many errors that were causing division and yet the Apostle Paul urges them to be united and of one mind. We learn that unity in the local church begins with a solid foundation of sound doctrine and is expressed through oneness of heart and mind.

In the opening verses of 1 Corinthians Paul expresses his thankfulness for the believers in Corinth because of what the grace of God has done in their lives.

In the world that was, we learn evil was prevalent and God was pushed aside. And yet in this world that was there were a few who carried on faithfully for God. We too can be faithful to the Lord and His word in the world today!
