And how returning home to Atlanta changed my life. It’s a lot to get into.

And I am so thankful to the Close Friends. The experience has been humbling and bittersweet. We laughed together so much more than cried. We shared hard truths and so many opinions. My parents set a tone for vocal, verbal, tangible love. Something you can cling to. Something you can keep tucked away like treasure. Likely because, all around my childhood home were post it notes, and printed notes and notes on napkins. I went on to share this love action with every lover until my last boyfriend, who met it with refusal. I was reintroduced to this part of my love language this year and it had me walking on sunshine. I decided to start this podcast for two reasons. 1. Food is love, and I’ve been a participant in thousands of loving moments, both romantic or platonic, by way of my baking or cooking. and 2. I was able to prioritize self-discovery in my dating life, and always always always, food and drinks served as the backdrop. I want to share my re-imaginings of those menu items and make them my own. Many recipes will also be entirely of my own imagination as part of my chef/ lover girl journey.
