3D Printing At Home
We've pretty much fully abandoned the bi-weekly format for all the funny reasons we talk about in this episode. We're a library of cool projects, not a soap-opera....yet. So, listen in on us trying to push folks to get into 3D printing at home, and why we think it's the perfect time to get in on it as a hobby. The CPL will always be here to make sure you don't have to dump an entire paycheck on a machine, but if you choose to: we're on your team for support.
Fall 2021: Welcome back to UNO!
New to UNO or missed us over the past 18 months at home? We're back on campus and returning in force for season 2! Stop by for an extended episode where current CPL staffers introduce dang near ALL of our continuing services, new hours, and some project hints for students, staff, and faculty coming back to campus.
Did we mention nearly enough that WE'RE HIRING STUDENT WORKERS!?!? Come work for us! Or at the very least...join us for open-mic podcast recordings. This season we're inviting all patrons to JOIN IN on our remote podcast recording sessions and become (very mildly) famous to our 17(and growing?) repeat listeners.
Keep an ear and eye out for more details on our upcoming game dev event "Spoopy Jam 3: Spoopy as Heck"! As in...CLICK BELOW, YA GOBLINS:

We Love Lasers pt2
The CPL has a gorgeous, beautiful, wonderful laser that you can use to engrave and cut all sorts of stuff. We're here to tell you all about it and how you can make sweet projects for class, or gifts for ya aunties. Look, we'll fully admit to getting some of the sciency particulars a little wrong, but when it comes to making trinkets for D&D, wedding invites, or just churning out merch with your entire drawing portfolio burned into it, nothing beats 40 everglowin watts of energized CO2. Part one covers all the tidbits on acquiring and firing your laser at different materials. Part two is everything you could want to know about the projects our CPL team has on their plate, including....ice-cream pizza? Tune in and discover for yourself!

Part 3 closes out an extended week by digging deeper into web-based distribution solutions, mailing, and self promotion. We close out by bragging about some recent projects and how we used the CPL equipment to land some solid client-work.

Ready to play some more games with the CPL crew? After our little valentine's month hiatus, we're back with both parts of episode 3. Part one covered some of the tidbits of getting started with game jams based around our January event of Global Game Jam 2021. In part 2 we get down and dirty with our personal game jam stories and an overview of how the rest of 2021 might shake out for our ongoing dev events.

Tiana and Shelby join Shawn, Drew, and Charles this week to go the basics you might need to get started with your own podcast or audio project. CPL Projects - Molding and Casting from 3D Prints pt2
In pt 1, Drew, Shawn, and Charles went over the basics of preparing a 3D print to be used as the master for a molding and casting project. This time around we get into the nitty gritty of pouring a silicone mold, and making casts in wax, urethane, or epoxy resin. Learn from our mistakes and experience making a candle from a plastic xmas tree, printing a mini yoda statue for a zen garden, and preparing custom RPG dice from a high detail resin print. We offer up material guidance, products, and CPL services that can guide you through your own 3D project.
