Foundations Part 1 Creation by Brad Harlow
Foundations Part 1: Creation
Brad Harlow
Original Air Date: 2024.05.19
Foundations... every house should have one. It is the concrete base upon which the entire house sits. Its function is to keep the house upright and stable. What is important about the foundation of the house is that it must be done correctly and with the right material or it will crack, settle, shift, or even come apart causing damage, or in severe cases, collapse.
What about other foundations? The foundation of our relationships, our belief systems, and our worldviews are equally, if not more, important. Jesus teaches in Mark 3:24-25 “If a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand. 25 And if a house is divided against itself, that house will not be able to stand.”
This division comes from unstable or poorly laid foundations that have come from multiple sources... the educational system, government, news and social media, well-meaning friends or family, and our own thoughts and ideas. The fact is just as the stability of a concrete foundation depends on the quality and consistency of the material in it, the foundations in which we build our lives upon must also be of good quality and consistency – and there is only one place we are guaranteed to get this... God and His Word.
This summer, we will be spending some time laying biblical foundations in the areas of Creation, Morals, Authority, Relationships, Truth, and Purpose. These foundations will keep us stable when we and our families are challenged by the philosophies of the world.
Our series will begin the weekend of Saturday May 18th and Sunday May 19th - and we would love to have you invite your family and friends!
Service Times are Saturday Evening at 5:30pm and Sunday Morning at 10:30 am. We also offer two Adult Sunday School options at 9:00am.
Promiseland Kids Church is available at 5:30pm on Saturday evening for children up to 5th grade and Sunday at 10:30am for Toddler – 5th grade and Youth Sunday School for Jr. High and older.

The Golden Rule Part 6 Judging Others by Bill Corley
The Golden Rule Part 6: Judging Others
Bill Corley
Original Air Date: 2024.05.12
As children, we grew up with what we called the “Golden Rule”. We knew what it meant – do unto others what you would have them do unto you – a great axiom for living! It is simple and easy to follow.
In today’s world this beautiful and simple truth is in short supply and doesn’t always produce the desired result. We can follow the golden rule, but people rarely respond in kind. Does this mean we don’t need to follow the golden rule any longer?
In this series, “The Golden Rule”, we are focusing on the remainder of Jesus’ teachings from the Sermon on the Mount. In our last series, “The Beatitudes” Jesus taught that to follow Him requires us to selflessly and sacrificially live and treat others with compassion and humility regardless of how they treat us.
Over the next six weeks, we will continue to study Jesus’ teaching on this as He speaks about the real issue with anger, lust, anxiety, money, prayer, and judging others and how we can live and respond in a Christlike way.
You are invited to join us on Saturday, April 6th or Sunday, April 7th, 2024 and encourage you to invite your family and friends as we dive in to real Christian living!
Service Times are Saturday Evening at 5:30pm and Sunday Morning at 10:30 am. We also offer two Adult Sunday School options at 9:00am.

The BeAttitudes Part 5: Palm Sunday Love Thy Enemy
Dionne Salmonds
Original Air Date: 2024.03.24
Many of us have heard the term, but we may not know what they are. “Beatitude” comes from the Latin “beatus” meaning blessed and “Blessed” literally means happy.
What makes you happy? What does the world say will promise happiness? If you have children, what do you tell them will bring happiness? In the Beatitudes, found in the Gospel of Matthew where he documents Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount, you will soon discover that what Jesus teaches will bring happiness is completely opposite of the world! How does this work? It is only through Jesus we can ever hope to find true, everlasting happiness... even when life is hard.
You are invited to join us on February 17, 2024 as we start this series with an “Ask It” message. If you have never experienced the fun of Ask It, you’re in for a treat! We will answer questions you and other submit through the website, text (760)301-4840 or in person. You can ask any questions you may have about God, the Bible, Christianity, the future, parenting, or the world.
Service Times are Saturday Evening at 5:30pm and Sunday Morning at 10:30 am. We also offer two Adult Sunday School options at 9:00am.

The BeAttitudes Part 3: Be Merciful
Bill Corley
Original Air Date: 2024.03.10
Reconcilable Differences Part 6 Body Parts by Dionne Salmonds
Reconcilable Differences Part 6: Body Parts
Dionne Salmonds
Original Air Date: 2024.02.11
We may all be familiar with the term, Irreconcilable Differences. Usually referring to a married couple who are seeking divorce and determines that their differences are too large to overcome – there is no hope. This is an extremely sad situation.
Even in the Christian church, people can have differences that can present problems – after all churches are simply filled with imperfect humans! But God gives all people hope for reconciliation...
2 Corinthians 5:17-19 states: Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come. 18 All this is from God, who through Christ reconciled us to himself and gave us the ministry of reconciliation; 19 that is, in Christ God was reconciling the world to himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and entrusting to us the message of reconciliation.
This is hope! When we choose to follow Jesus, we are a new creation – the old life is gone, and we get a clean slate and a second chance. First, God repairs our standing with Him, then He gives us the ability to reconcile differences with others.
In this series, RECONCILABLE DIFFERENCES, we are going to spend time learning how to reconcile the differences we may have with others in and out of the church, including: Marriage and Parenting, Politics, Generational differences, and internal church issues.
You are invited to join us on January 7, 2024, and encourage you to invite anyone you know who needs hope in their relationships.
Service Times are Saturday Evening at 5:30pm and Sunday Morning at 10:30 am. We also offer two Adult Sunday School options at 9:00am.

Bah Humbug Part 6 Christmas Eve by Bill Corley
Bah Humbug Part 6: Christmas Eve
Bill Corley
Original Air Date: 2023.12.24
Attributed to the famous character Ebenezer Scrooge in the novel “A Christmas Carol” by Charles Dickens, the expression is used to refer to a disapproval of something others enjoy, such as Christmas.
Many people feel Christmas is humbug and there is often a reason. Things from the past or the present can influence our view of Christmas and even impact our future. The busyness of life, the financial stress, or unmet expectations during the holidays can interfere with our ability to enjoy the season and if we’re not careful, Christmas becomes Humbug!
BUT... God’s plan for Christmas was to send His Son into our world, our pain, and our struggles to bring hope. He came as an infant and changed the course of history. Jesus is the reason we celebrate, the reason we have hope, the reason we can heal, and the reason we can look forward to the future.
We invite you to join us on this holiday adventure. The series begins November 18th & 19th and will run for 7 weeks. Service Times are Saturday Evening at 5:30pm and Sunday Morning at 10:30 am. We also offer two Adult Sunday School options at 9:00am.
