Episode 15: I Am Sam with Sam Hunter

Episode 15: I Am Sam with Sam Hunter

There was Ike and Tina, then Bobby and Whitney, I now humbly present to you, Chad & Sam and the Temple of the Incel. This is the beginning of something beautiful and I'm pumped to get this first episode deep in your ears. In all seriousness, this is a super fun listen and a coming of age tale. Sam and I talk about growing up in a bunch of different places and what it's like always being the new kid in town. It gets pretty real, but fear not, there's still plenty of dick jokes sprinkled in there. We dig into some comedy talk and talk about being an open mic'r and Sam recently opening for the hilarious Ian Fidance at Creek and the Cave here in Austin. Have a beer, have smoke, have a listen. See ya'll for round two in a few days.

Enjoy!

Episode 13: Ukraine, NFT's and the Future with Justin Essenmacher

This episode is fueled and sponsored by adult ADHD, some new hybrid of Delta 8, Justin said would make me sound smarter and a handful of Miller Lites. Justin is a local comic here in Austin, he's a wild man with a fast mouth and an even faster mustache. We figure out what an NFT is and that we're both old now, but not before we solve the crisis in Ukraine. You're welcome. This one is a helluva a lot of scatter brained fun, it definitely gets weird! Episode 12: Matty Stu does Dubai

Episode 12: Matty Stu does Dubai

We crack open the new soundboard on this episode (bear with me) and have a good laugh with my good friend, comedian and world traveler Matty Stu. We jump from childhood hip hop to Matty's first spot on Kill Tony (which he crushed), Texas BBQ and a whole lot more. Once again we have Mason Smith along for "color commentary" and per the usual, he does not disappoint. Matty brought his giant blanket of a dog Roy over to hang out on this Texas "snow day", we sat down and 2hrs later here we are. It's a fun one, hope you're into it!

You can find Matty @mattystuuu also go check his new showcase with a crazy lineup @monksjazz here in Austin on Sat. March 26th. He also runs a podcast with @joebegleycomedy called Creature of Habit, thats definitely worth a listen!

Ol' Mason Smith can be found @masonesmith on Instagram and has a banger of a podcast @highnoon_pod

Episode 10: LIVE episode "Frontline Warriors" with Sergio Barrale & Angela China

Episode 10: LIVE episode "Frontline Warriors" with Sergio Barrale & Angela China

This episode I had the pleasure of sitting down with two incredible artistic collaborators, Sergio Barrrale and Angela China. While everyone was running for the hills when Covid hit, they came together in the studio and created an incredible 15ft long (larger than life) piece of work, portraying the "Frontline Warriors" of NYC on the front lines in hospitals taking it to this wild moment in history head on. We talk about the piece itself, what brought them to this point in their careers and where this painting is headed next!

It was a blast doing this episode in connection with Littlefield venue and I hope you enjoy!

Episode 6: Paint by Rhythm with Dump La Rock

Episode 6: Paint by Rhythm with Dump La Rock

Welcome to Episode 6 weirdos!

We hang out with Adam Dumperfoo, one of the innovators of the "Live Art" scene that you may or may not be aware of. Adam has been painting insanely intricate pieces of art, live on stage since the late 90's, using the energy of the music and the crowd to amplify the work in real time. He's travelled all over the world making work with groups like Public Enemy, Z-Trip and The Wu-Tang Clan. He's toured with the Drunken Immortals and co-created the Alpha Monster collective in and around Arizona, promoting concerts, art shows and many other creative collectives. We talk about the whole journey from sketching as a kid and b-boying at his local church to eventually painting live in front of sold out crowds and making art for hip-hop legends like Snoop Dog. He's a humble dude with a massive talent and I had a blast catching up with him about the past and his life now in Portland, Oregon. Enjoy!

You can find Adam's work through his Instagram below, where you can inquire about commissions.

What's up weirdos!

On this episode we hang out with Dave Roth, a New York hospitality hero, currently stuck in Paris during the travel ban from Covid-19. We catch up on day to day life in the city of light currently on lockdown, his road to winning the Diageo Startender, bartending competition which led him to making drinks at the 2019 Oscars where he got to hang with the likes of Quentin Tarantino and was so busy he didn't realize he was serving Joaqin Phoenix until he was gone.
