This chilling tale is the stuff of nightmares. Indeed Smith dreamt this one night and quickly wrote it down for us all to enjoy. Not much is known about Smith other than he was born in Liverpool in 1881, served in WW1 and that he lived in Scotland. I would love to know more about him so if you have any clues, contact me.

A short whimsical tale of petty vengeance and reincarnation. Written by British author Hector Hugh Munro who wrote under the pseudonym of Saki. The story first appeared in the Morning Post and it was later collected in the 1914 anthology Beasts and Super Beasts.
