I got the privilege to chat to Emcee Prozack Turner (Zack Turner) from Oakland California. Prozack is one half of the Hip-Hop group The Foreign Legion along with Marc Stretch and DJ Design. Prozack has been representing Oakland CA writing and making music for decades. In his long extensive music career he has worked and collaborated with some of America’s Hip-Hop's finest: Pete Rock, Brother Ali, Organised Noize, The Alchemist, Madlib, Jake One. He has also worked with Dublin's own DJ Flip and Wexford's Rob Kelly as-well as the great late Jay Dilla to name but a few.

In this episode Zack talks to me about their Boom-Bap style sound, Hip-Hop of the 80s-90s, Making music with The Foreign Legion, Touring around the world with the group (life on the road),working as a solo artist, taking a break from performing to becoming a bar owner in California’s entertainment and nightlife scene.

In E.P. five got catch with Dean Earls a former Sound Engineer and graduate of Pulse Recording Institute which at the time was

the first of its kind in Ireland. From graduating at 17 to heading State side at just 19 he's never stop in pursuit of his dreams and passion for making music and working within the LA music scene.  He speaks to me about his journey from studying SAE Institute on Sunset Blvd to  interning at Snoop Dogg's Studio under the legendary music producer LT Hutton.

Dean currently runs his own studio Playback LA with business partners Tucker Bodine and Daniel (Overtone) Marquez. Playback LA has hosted clients such as Travis Scott (Blind 182) P!nk, Katy Perry, Omarion, Alan Parsons, Gavin Degraw, etc.

Dean and his business partner also run Gold Mind Management a music management company and GoldMind Labs a web development company also based in LA. Dean and his partner have also set up and run Famous Hollywood Rentals.
