Today, we are gathering to unite and prepare for the launch of our fall life groups. Dr. James O Davis challenged us that we should prioritize our lives and churches around those things we can do to reach our highest potential in fulfilling Jesus’ highest objective: “Go and make disciples in a way that finishes the task.” (It is easy to have plans and priorities but lose focus). We are convinced that raising up and multiplying healthy small groups is one of those highest priorities we can do for Jesus so He can finish His mission.

Last month’s podcast was about Unleashing the World Changing Power of Spiritual Mentoring: The Skills of a Powerful Mentee. I talked mostly from a challenge on how to be mentored and receive the most from others who coach or mentor us. Today, I want to apply it to being a mentor/coach who disciples others. I have two amazing pastors with me who have done this well and I want to bring them into the discussion to help make it practical and applicable.

Unleashing The World Changing Power of Mentoring (PT.1)

I want to share what I believe is a top priority for us in this season. I have never felt a greater burden to challenge church members to grow from being a member to being a mentor of others. This is the imperative command of the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19-20). I believe Jesus was saying that we must not finish our race without depositing in others the life Jesus has taught and given us, so the seeds in us can keep bearing fruit for generations to come.

GOING THE NEXT STEP TO DEVELOP A RULE OF LIFE

Congratulations! You've taken a significant step towards becoming a more spiritually and emotionally healthy follower of Jesus. In this lesson, we really want to be encouraged to "bank" the pearls God has spoken to our heart during this course, and define some next steps to keep us moving forward in our journey.

Growing into an Emotionally Healthy Adult

The ultimate sign that we are growing into a spiritually, emotionally, healthy person is demonstrated in how we love people. The highest purpose and goal of the Christian life is to love well.

"The purpose of my instruction is that all believers would be filled with love that comes from a pure heart, a clear conscience, and genuine faith." (I Timothy 1:5 NLT)

Scott M. Peck said, "We are all born narcissists; learning to grow out of our narcissism is at the heart of our spiritual journey with Jesus.

Living Out of Rest in a World Driven By Stress

Introduction: Today, we come to one of the most important elements of an emotionally healthy spiritual life: learning to live a life of peace and rest in a world of strife and stress.

Jesus gave us wonderful invitation: "Are you tired and worn out? Come away with me and you'll recover your life. I'll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me-watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I wont lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me and you'll learn to live freely and lightly. " (Matthew 11:28-30 MSG)

ENGLARGING OUR SOULS WITH GRIEF AND LOSS

Life is full of grief and loss. Often, especially in our culture, we tend to react to grief and loss as "alien invasions" that we want to deny, passionately avoid or get through as fast as possible. Many of us because we don't process these things Biblically, end up getting stuck or crippled by our pain (prisoners of grief). God's plan is actually that these losses are opportunities and His plans for transformation.

JOURNEY THROUGH THE WALL

There are many ways of describing what it's like to go through a time in which we hit a wall in our Journey with God. Spiritual maturity requires that you go through pain. it been called among other things, "The Dark Night of the Soul". it is a time where we feel great loss, disappointment, and maybe confusion in our walk with God. I is like Job who has his family Suddenly Die, Abraham who is asked to offer Isaac his son as a Sacrifice, David being undeservingly chased by Saul in the Wilderness in spite of having done nothing wrong. It is the Furnace of the Hebrew children, Paul and Silas beaten and thrown in jail. Yet, what we are learning this weeks that God has treasures hidden for us in the Darkness

GOING BACK TO FORWARD

We are going to be talking about legacy today. what is one thing you are especially grateful for that your parents or grandparents imparted to you?

At the heart of this course is nurturing your relationship with God, especially in the silence and Scripture. How was your experience in practicing silence this week?

In todays lesson we are Learning about how to go back to go forward. Like many truths in the Bible, this is a paradox ( First will be Last, Weak to be Strong). Many Shy Away with thoughts like "Why dig up old trash? Aren't we new creatures? Wouldn't t be dishonoring to our Parents to tell Family Secrets?"

KNOWING YOURSELF THAT YOU MAY KNOW GOD,THE PROBLEM OF THE "SAUL SYNDROME"

We have been talking about letting God bring healing and transformation from the inside out. Emotionally healthy spirituality is about recognizing that growing and being transformed is not just change in outward behaviors and new spiritual activities; it is at the same time, learning to let God go underneath the surface of our lives in the areas of our emotions and identities. it is allowing Him to address the inner hurts, wrong attitudes, and the unresolved issues in our mind and emotions.

HOW TO BE AN EFFECTIVE LEADER

We want to discuss how to grow skills not only learning as disciple of Jesus in our small group setting but also how to most effectively grow and help disciple others. The two biggest parts of Fulfilling the Great Commission are Being Disciples and Making Disciples (Matthew 28 : 19-21)

Goals For This Class:

Identify those who are willing or Learning to be a small group Facilitator

Help all of us learn some of the best practices for maximizing the impact of a table or small group for transforming peoples Lives

The goal of this new class and teaching is to learn how to be spiritually emotionally healthy leaders, who can effectively raise up spiritually emotionally healthy disciples. The most important role of a spiritual leader is not about what we do on the outside but who we are becoming on the inside. The secret of a great Leader: They have learned in every area of their life to receive so much grace from Jesus that they are always bigger and righter on the inside than anything they are facing or is coming against them on the outside.

In Todays Lesson Pastor Dale Teaches on Hearing God in Decisions we Make.  Serving God effectively depends on discerning and following God’s voice. This is how we know and stay in God’s will.In the last two weeks, we talked about prophecy and the key to learning how to hear and receive encouraging prophetic words to build up, strengthen, and bring God’s healing to others. My appeal is that this will go from being a rare occurrence to an ongoing lifestyle. We can prophesy to people continually by having a heart to grow to be the best encourager we can be and then leaning into the Spirit to help us go to an even higher level.

Today we learn how our lives would become a more powerful witness of God working through us and with us to help us know better and make him known to all around us. Today we want to talk about learning how to discern God's Voice speaking within us. We arguing to look at the story of a little boy named Samuel, who discovered how to Hear God and changed History.

We're going to see how in 1 Corinthians 14:31 the Bible says "You all can Prophesy"

Pastor Misael Jimenez Teaches on Moving in the Prophetic " God empowers us with authority and a word. We speak the word, and it is proven to be true in the moment or in the future, whether it be a word of wisdom, word of knowledge or a prophetic word for something that has not yet happened. Today we want to continue learning how to hear God speak through the scripture by learning to effectively interpret and apply God's Word, through the help of the Holy Spirit. We aren't called to be Bible Scholars but we are called to be bible interpreters.

"Study to show Yourself approved until God, a workman that needs not to be ashamed, rightly dividing (interpreting like a carpenter fitting a window pane) the word of truth." (2 Timothy 2:15)

We are on a journey to learn not just how to recognize the voice of God but how to hear and be led by God as a lifestyle. Leading our lives at the speed of God’s voice. We’ve discussed many areas He wants us to hear His voice about (guidance, assurance, discernment, wisdom, ministry to encourage and bring God’s love to others, words of peace for our storms, healing for our hearts. (Psalms 107:20).

In this lesson Pastor Dale talks about how to get your focus back. Especially, in the holiday season we can get so rushed, distracted and full of stress. We end up carrying our yoke which is frustrating and too heavy, instead of the yoke (focus) Jesus is calling us to carry which is strategic and light. Pastor Dale also shares with us The older you get and the further you go in leadership, the more you realize you can’t just go with the flow and react without becoming consumed by the urgent, distraction, and the less important. You must be challenging and intentional to not end up wondering where time and life went. Charles Hummel called it, “The tyranny of the urgent.” Being a leader and having a heart for people makes me susceptible to distraction and disorientation. Leaders see squirrels everywhere! It is easy for me to be an “opportunity and new idea alcoholic.” I hardly ever hear an idea I don’t like. One of my easiest temptations is to be driven instead of led. Driven is what the flesh, world, and devil tempt us with. Being led is what the Holy Spirit offers us as the key to a fruitful life.

A great attitude is not the absence of pain or struggling; it is the presence of a greater joy. It is not based on the circumstances but on who God is. We don’t have joy because our circumstances are good but because God is good, and we refuse to ever get our eyes off of who He is.

As we get ready for our fall life groups, house of prayer, and kids and youth groups, I believe God wants to bring understanding of this amazing gift of prophecy to all the church. This wonderful, life transforming gift is available to normal believers and a tool that can bring transformation in very casual and normal settings.

Jeff Flores is the CEO of MECA Therapies, a business that serves six counties in New Mexico with over 100 staff. In this podcast Pastor Dale interviews Jeff who shares his journey into coming into an awareness of what it means to lead a business as a calling and not just a career.
