‘Is Scuba Diving Special?’ - A Love Letter | S2E1
We're glad to finally get back into it and spread the Gospel of Scuba! If you caught episode 0, you'll remember that we announced that Nick has left the show to seek his fortune in Far East, Malaysia. He will be missed and we wish him the best, but the show must go on...
This season we decided to change things up a little bit. We are going to bring in special guest co-hosts for 3 episodes each to assist Jay in sharing the word of Scuba.
Our guest co-host for the first three episodes will be Sarah Miller of Azul Unlimited. You should remember her from last year as she was a popular guest on the show. She brings a wealth of knowledge and experience and those facts are proven in this first episode.
In this episode, much like in last year's inaugural episode, the question that was brought to the table was, "Is scuba diving special?” Jay and Sarah tackle that same question and bring to light some interesting figures about the demography of the scuba diving landscape and what their different perspectives are regarding scuba diving.

Looking Ahead | S2E0
Nick moved to Malaysia and deserted us all! Kidding! He's doing fine and we wish him the best. He was ready to move on and start his own thing and we hope to have content from him soon. Maybe we'll hear from him on here at some point...
In the second season inaugural episode, Jay and I discuss what this season holds for The Dive Table and what you can expect as a listener. We were under the gun on which direction to go and with only a single host. In the end, what we decided was a breakthrough in podcast planning and SEO genius.

Nick took a trip to the Philippines last month and decided to take a skills clinic with Andy to determine what it is he needed to work on before going back next May to take 'Advanced Wreck' with Andy. As we head into the fall season here in Central Texas, the sun is getting lower and the water is getting cooler, and in this episode the guys discuss some "chilling" moments they've had throughout their scuba careers. #32 What Are Your Top 5 Essential Scuba Tools?
We always recommend that a certified technician work on your most sensitive gear, but setting up your garage or 'Suba Cave' in a way that allows you to service your own gear (when appropriate) can really open up your eyes to what it takes to maintain scuba equipment, not to mention helping to keep your gear in an organized fashion. Becoming a certified technician for your own gear is certainly a win-win. You can also then invite dive buddy's to bring their same brand gear over which helps you to stay fresh and maybe even make a little side cash.
You might be surprised to hear what the guys have to say about which 5 pieces of equipment they would like to have in their shop, or you're a long-time scuba gearhead and recognize which pieces make everything that much easier.

We are excited to bring you, 'Humans of Scuba,' a new series within The Dive Table Podcast.
Some of you may be familiar with the concept and we thought it would be perfect for the scuba realm. Pulling the random scuba diver out of the water, sitting them down at the Dive Table and discussing what makes them tick in their own world and how scuba plays a part in that.
The boys decided to start the series off with our good friend, Xiangfei Kong. Xiangfei has come a long way in a short period of time and has become just as passionate about scuba as Nick and Jay.
The guys get Xiangfei to open up about where he grew up, his aversion to cold weather, what his go to food is after a long day of diving and the story behind the nickname, 'Kankles Kong.’ Not to mention his opinions on Chihuahua’s. Woof.
