Lyrics:
I believe law never made men a whit more just
Though general laws of humanity and justice must.
I was put into jail for one night,
And since then, I see the light.
I ask the government for a bit more
Than to be abused and perverted like before
I know our government isn't so perfect
But a virtuous man commands his respect.
The government non-consciously thinks at night
So I cast my vote, perchance, as I think right.
I am not vitally concerned that this right should prevail,
In our government, a just man will be locked up in jail.
That government is best which governs least.
I heartily accept that motto since when I was released.
