We talk about the ongoing funding campaign, how he managed to convince Michael Moorcock to write a tale for the first issue and what exciting new developments there will be as the magazine continues.

David Gerrold has been writing science fiction for the last 55 years. From the original Star Trek TV series with his screenplay for "The Trouble With Tribbles", to the animated Star Trek, Land of the Lost and other television scripts, to classics of the genre like When Harlie was One, The Man Who Folded Himself, Yesterday's Children, to his Nebula and Hugo award winning The Martian Child David's writing career has been varied and unique. It's a wide-ranging conversation about his experiences as a writer. his influences, his experiences as a father and now as a grandfather. He shares his views on publishing, on technology and on being a human being.

It is an intriguing, fast moving and and spirited conversation.

In our final Sword & Sorcery Roundtable of the year, G. W. Thomas is joined by authors Michael Ehart, Joel Jenkins and author and editor of the magazine Tales from the Magician's Skull, Howard Andrew Jones to talk about the future of the Sword & Sorcery genre.

It's another lively discussion which ranges from the origins of the genre to an imaginary 2050 and speculation about what the genre will become.

That book inspired a series of nine novels with more still on the way. He has written in the Fantasy, Thriller, Space Opera and Weird Western genres and he has a substantial number of books in his back catalogue. G. W. Thomas and M. D. Jackson sit down with Joel to examine his career, his influences and his writing process.

He is also the creator of the Marvel Superhero, Squirrel Girl. Collaborating posthumously with the legendary Lester Dent, Murray has written  over twenty Doc Savage novels.

We talk with multiple award winning science fiction writer Allen Steele about how he has taken up the mantle of the pulp hero Captain Future. We discuss Edmond Hamilton, the original author of the Captain Future stories, how Steele has updated the character for a modern audience and where he would like to go with the character. We also talk about Steele's other works, his Coyote novels as well as how the pulps have influenced modern science fiction and fantasy. It's a fascinating and lively discussion.
