A White Man's Thoughts on What Is Going On
The title says it all, my friends. Just listen and pass it on to someone you know who needs to hear it. If you're not sure who that is, it's anyone you know who currently lives in America, especially if they aren't sure what to make of what's going on right now.

Coronavirus XV- Have we hit the peak yet?
This episode is a short and sweet update about what's going on in my world as well as question from a listener who is wondering what most of us are- have we hit the peak yet?
Coronavirus XIV with Dr. Neil Morris
In this episode, we have an incredible interview with Dr. Neil Morris amongst some record-setting rocky audio quality. Nevertheless, Dr. Morris brings the heat in this one and talks about a ton of different things regarding Covid-19 and how naturopathic medicine can help, including Ozone therapy. I hope you learn a ton in this episode as I did.
If you'd like to keep up with Dr. Morris, check out his Facebook page and Instagram. He currently works out of Regenerative Health Group in Mesa, Arizona where they have some incredible things going on as a clinic.
Coronavirus XII Research Update
In this episode, I give an update on the research I've read in the last week or so and explain where the episodes have been in the last week.

Coronavirus XI w/ Brooke Campbell
This is a special episode for me as I get to bring on and introduce you to a fellow naturopathic medical student. Brooke Campbell is a third-year at NUNM in Portland, Oregon. We get to hear how COVID-19 is impacting her academic life as well as things back home in Phoenix, Arizona.
If you'd like to keep up with Brooke and what she is doing, check out her Instagram here.
Coronavirus X with Dr. Carleigh Golightly
Let’s give a warm welcome to Dr. Carleigh as the first physician to ever be a guest on this podcast. As a licensed naturopathic physician, she shares her experience so far with Covid-19. In this episode she speaks to how NDs and NMDs can contribute to the fight against the Coronavirus and what the AANP is doing to offering a solution during this crisis. We also discuss how people should approach natural treatment and prevention for Covid-19 as well as the irony of how the foundations of health play such a large role in an era when technology is king.
If you'd like to keep up with her, here is Dr. Carleigh Golightly's website and Instagram.
Coronavirus IX- It's Personal Now
Warning: This episode contains an explicative. This is not the norm for this podcast and will not be the norm going forward. If you are extremely sensitive to hearing curse words or are highly offended by them, please refrain from listening to this episode.
Today, I share a personal story of a good friend who is in the ICU battling Covid-19 and realize many of you may be in this spot in the coming days. Please take the guidelines seriously. Not only does your life depend on them, but the lives of everyone around you.

Coronavirus VIII- A Quick Reminder
This is a straight forward message: what you're doing matters, we are making a difference with social distancing, its too soon to say when this will be over and its also too soon/too important to give in. There is going to be a temptation to start caving. Please don't fall for it.

Coronavirus VII- Hospital Overwhelm and How To Look At The Data with Kailyn Galloway
Kailyn Galloway comes on the show and sheds some (very much needed) light on what is actually going on with the American hospital system and why the overwhelm of the system might not be as clear cut as what you may have thought so far. She also discusses the numbers and how to look at the data that is being put out about this virus on an overwhelming scale right now.

Coronavirus VI
In this 6th episode focusing on the Coronavirus, I talk briefly about the following:
- Why the numbers are getting really bad and why you shouldn't suddenly freak out about it
- Several states have (finally) put shelter in place orders out to the public, is it too little, too late?
- India being on lock down
- The difference between isolation and quarantine and why it matters
- Dr. Ben Reeb's article: Evidence-Based, Integrative Considerations with Respect to Immune Support & COVID-19
As mentioned previously, the next episode will feature some other voices to contribute to the conversation and provide some other perspectives.
Coronavirus V
I'm back!
After taking a few days to myself to recover from the 2nd hardest quarter in my years of medical education, I took some time to think about how to go forward with this podcast. Also, I spent a lot of time reading through the information that has come out since the last time we talked.
Here's what I discuss today:
Dr. Courtney Cronin's article on Covid-19
Joe Rogan's Episode Clip about what's going on at the top
President Trump's Approving Washington's Disaster Relief Package
President Trumps Press Conference from this evening
Remember, we are all in this together and you have more control over your risk than you think. Stay well my friends.
Coronavirus IV
In the longest episode to date, I cover a ton of topics about the Coronavirus both public health and otherwise. There are several things going on at a local level here in Seattle as well as on a national and global scale. After discussing them, I provide what seems to be the only three ways this pandemic ends in America, and even speak to some of the articles being published saying we are overplaying this thing.
*This will be edited to include links and references later this week. I took 5 finals between yesterday and today and have 2 more tomorrow and 1 Friday so I didn't have the time to get them all written up without delaying the episode.
Coronavirus Part III
Coronavirus Part II
This is a follow up to what we talked about in yesterday's episode. I add my thoughts on prevention and some of the conversations I have had with others one on one today. I briefly talk about President Trump's announcement today and what that means. Over the weekend, I'll be putting out another episode to dive a little deeper into a few more specific topics as it relates to the Coronavirus. Until then, let's defer to the experts and follow what we are being asked to do to help out our neighbors so we can get through this thing together.
Coronavirus I
This is the first episode of at least a few on the Coronavirus. As a naturopathic medical student (for the second time) as well as someone with a Bachelor's degree in community and public health, and living half a mile from Kirkland, WA I feel like I have something to offer.
Please share your feedback with me on Instagram or Facebook. I'll be recording the next episode tomorrow. If you have a question for me, please shoot me an audio message here.
Here is the article I referenced in the episode: Coronavirus: Why You Must Act Now
Why I Wish Doctors Would Stop Telling People They Can Be Healthy
There is a growing trend, especially in the naturopathic and holistic health communities to make promises on social media regarding people's health outcomes. It's well-meaning, but it also hurts people. In this episode, I talk about why we have to be diligent with our words and not over-promise something we can't deliver to patients.
What Actually Makes Naturopathic Doctors Different
What Makes Naturopathic Medicine Special
With academic stuff out of the way, we dive into what naturopathic medicine means for the American population, what made me go into it vs. conventional medical school, and what is unique about it. I talk specifically about why naturopathic medicine is the answer that so many are searching for in America right now, whether or not they know it. Enjoy!
The Therapeutic Order
This is part II of what we talked about in the last episode. The therapetic order is the main guidelines that aid naturopathic physicians in the best way to treat their patients with whatever is causing them harm and disease.
Definition of the therapeutic order taken from the AANMC. Scroll down on this link to see a picture of therapeutic order and follow along in this episode.
So What Is Naturopathic Medicine?
The field of naturopathic medicine has been around for over a century, yet relatively few people know about it. In this episode, we discuss what exactly it is, as well as the six principles that guide the practice of naturopathic medicine.

In the next several episodes, Dayne will be talking about naturopathic medicine; the 6 principles, the therapeutic order, what it is and what it isn't.
Go, Do
It is December. Christmas is coming and after that, all of the expectations and "new" years resolutions.
You either know what you're going after or you don't. Your message is either clear or it's not.
If it's not, take time in December to stop doing, and start looking. Clarity is everything when you are putting your stuff out there.
If your message is clear or your goals are defined, don't wait until January. December gets lonely and could use a boost from your passion.
My Reaction To Attending an Alcoholics Anonymous Meeting
I got the chance to attend an alcoholics anonymous meeting last week and I came out of it full emotions. I was so so proud of the people there and at the same time discouraged for most of the rest of us. Part of the reason America has such a mental health crisis is because of our judgement. I'm all about discipline and responsibility, but that's a very different thing that judging someone who is already struggling. I'm guilty of it too and I want to do what I can to stop it so more people can get help. I feel like this episode may rub some feathers, and I'm cool with that. :)
Do I Regret Not Going To Conventional Medical School?
I get this question pretty frequently. In this episode I break down the mixed answer and why I'm happy with my training choice of naturopathic medicine.
