S03E12: B-Sides- "Pesto"(2020 Year in Reflection)
On the last Day Ones of 2020, we do our best to reflect on what felt like the the longest year of our lives. We try to parse through the pandemic, racial justice uprisings, and election to find any lessons or reflections that can help with processing their contributions to the year. Then, we comb through our personal realizations from the year and end up discussing how badly celebrities fucked up, the ways that we surprised ourselves, and take on the difficult task of figuring out what would be useful to take from 2020, into 2021.
We appreciate you rocking with us this year, and as usual you can always catch any past episodes on our feed. Feel free to give us a rating and share our show with a friend. Happy New Year!

Captain Save a Rose: A Bachelor Podcast- Episode 6: "Cry For Me"
We start the recap way back in Cleveland with Peter continuing to be indecisive with Alayah and getting rid of basically all of the Black contestants. We head to Costa Rica and analyze the symbolism of Peter’s golf cart accident, whether or not Sydney is mysterious, and what the hell happened with Kelsey and Tammy.
Then we get to the controversial Cosmo photo shoot and the consequences for Victoria F, Natasha shuts it down, and try to figure out the reason for ABC not airing important conversations for viewers.
In Santiago, Chile, we all witnessed the whitest moment in Bachelor history. Mykenna takes a stand, but has surprising competition for the “strongest stand” title.
Peter has a bizarre need for tears and an even weirder relationship with Victoria F. I give a wild ass hot take for Bachelorette, and we lose two more contestants.
Finally, in Lima, Peru, will Madison’s faith play a role in later episodes? The last one standing- Natasha says goodbye. Kelsey and Peter run up a hill, a confusing ass three on one, and we wonder why does Peter hate fun so much?
We close by making predictions for Hometowns, and agree that we have no idea what Peter wants.

B-Sides: Session 3- If Black Love Could Talk
We analyze our views of love growing up versus how that compared to reality(10:00). Then, DJ and Hanee of the Both Sides Podcast join us to share stories of their journey together and they let us pick their brains on the joy of black love(19:25). Next, Storyteller Tone and Justin discuss breakups, how racism infiltrates relationships(39:30), what our healing processes have been like after a break up(58:20) and give our picks for our "Sad Nigga Playlist" (1:07:20). To close, we review the different types of apps (as only we can) so you don't have to, exchange random dating stories, and what finding a healthy relationship looks like(1:24:20).
All this, and somehow we talk fetishizing, cuckolding(insert wide-eyed emoji), the fine line of being "comfortable" in a relationship, identity, holding unnecessary burden, why Justin isn't making anymore "toxic" love songs, and much much more. This might be one of our most personal episodes yet, so we hope you can enjoy and gain a new perspective. Feel free to hit us up and share your own perspectives, as well as to challenge us!
