009 Detach
When you learn to detach from external circumstances and things, you get closer to who you are at your divine core.
Speaking from your heart versus your head, allows you to see what relationships/things truly aren't meant for you and you can start to detach from them over time. This isn't going to be an overnight success, but it's worth it.
What are things you've had to detach from? Which relationships?
What are some things you still need to detach from?

008 Find Your Escape
Finding your escape is easier than you think.
What do you do to clear out your mental and emotional clutter?
Do you go for a run/ walk?
Workout?
Dance?
Journal?
Or are you like me and enjoy cleaning your external physical environment to clean your internal environment? There is no wrong way. This is finding something that you do to be "in the right now" so the subconscious stuff can come into your conscious mind for you to heal, or act upon to move forward in life.

007 Simplifying Clutter
"Clutter isn't just stuff on your floor, it's anything that gets between you and the life that you want to be living."
- Peter Walsh
In order to figure out what IS clutter in your life, you need to decide what you want your life/ business/ etc. to look like long-term. Once you figure out what you DO want, everything else that doesn't match with your desires is considered clutter.
Areas to look at include:
* your home
* your business
* relationships
* your body
* spirituality
* your thoughts and emotions
* etc.
Clearing out the clutter isn't going to be an overnight accomplishment. It took a while for it to get into your life, so you need to understand that it's going to take some time and consistency to clear it out. And it's something that you will need to do again and again over the years as things change.

006 Energy
Energy is everything, everything is energy.
Energy comes in all forms; physical, mental, emotional, spiritual, ways we can see it, and ways we cannot see it. It is all around us, and it is all within us.
If you want to shift the energy in your life, start with your physical environment. Decluttering your physical environment and changing up the energy of your belongings, will have a great shift in the energy in your life and business.

005 Growth
Big or small, we are constantly growing with change. Growth defined by Google; the process of developing or maturing physically, mentally, or spiritually. "Keeping a journal can be a vital step in our personal growth" (I would like to add that growth is also emotionally developing or maturing).
When you have the same thought, but can react differently than before, that's growth. When you have the same situation arise, but can emotionally react differently, that's growth. When you start to detach from your physical items and realize that they are only physical representations of the memories and emotions of that person/ event/ situation, that's growth.
Life is about growing into the beings that we are here to become. Decluttering everything else that isn't aligned to that, is growth.

004 Non-Negotiables
Times are changing. There's no denying that. Now more than ever, you need to sit down and decide what your own non-negotiables are in your home, business, family, and life.
It's not about saying "screw it" to everything and not wanting to do anything. It's you deciding what you're willing to change in order to get to where you want to go in life, and knowing what your own non-negotiables are.
This is number four of six episodes to the acronym C.H.A.N.G.E. (the foundation for this podcast and the business name). Check out the show notes at www.declutterforchange.com/non-negotiables

003 Attitude
Your attitude towards anything is what makes it so.
“We cannot change our past... we cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way. We cannot change the inevitable. The only thing we can do is play on the one string we have, and that is our attitude. I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% of how I react to it. And so it is with you... we are in charge of our Attitudes.”
― Charles R. Swindoll
When something happens to you, no matter the circumstances, it is ALWAYS how you react to it that will create the outcome.
