John Nayler from Deja vu Magazine speaks with Mary Howarth from BlazeAid in Moruya NSW.

BlazeAid started back in 2009 with Kevin and Rhonda Butler, who were farmers, became victims of the Black Saturday fires. The Black Saturday fires were a series of bushfires that either ignited or were already burning across Victoria in February 2009, and are among Australia's all-time worst bushfire disasters.  173 people were killed, 120 in the Kinglake area alone. Another 414 people were injured. More than 450,000 hectares had burned and 3500 buildings including more than 2000 houses destroyed. The RSPCA estimated that up to one million wild and domesticated animals died in the disaster.

John Nayler from Deja.vu Magazine asks Woody from Whitsunday Ocean Services, "What is the flow-on effect from the lack of tourists visiting the Whitsundays?".

Whitsunday Ocean Services is a life raft and life jacket service centre and an inflatable repair and service centre. In essence, they sell and repair Marine equipment and predominantly work with Charter companies, Commercial operators and Workboats.

Trevor Rees from Whitsunday Escape is representing the Whitsunday Bareboat Industry and talks to John Nayler from Deja.vu Magazine, about the current state of the Whitsunday Bareboat industry.

John Nayler from Deju.vu Magazine, talks to Lyn Gregson about how the Retail business in Airlie Beach is coping with the lack of visitors to the region.

Lyn has been in the Retail business for 34 years and owns 7 retail outlets across the Whitsundays employing 38 staff. She said there has certainly been many challenges over the past 30 years such as pilot strikes, cyclones, flooding and shark attacks that have kept holidaymakers away,  however she has never experienced anything like this before.
