Anabel Kingsley is a Consultant Trichologist, as well as Brand President of the Philip Kingsley Clinics and product ranges. Her passion for hair and scalp health was ignited from a young age by her father, Philip Kingsley. She is an Associate Member of The Institute of Trichologists, graduating with a Distinction, as well as receiving ‘The Award of Excellence’. She has also studied a Cordon Bleu Degree. With a great interest in and knowledge of the hair and scalp, Anabel has a particular focus on postpartum hair loss, nutrition and the psychology of hair loss. Anabel has written thousands of articles about hair and scalp health for international magazines, newspapers and websites, from Harper’s Bazaar to HuffPost.
She has been a judge for the Marie Claire UK Hair Awards twice, presented for Philip Kingsley on-air at QVC, and has spoken at industry events for brands including Cult Beauty and SheerLuxe. She has also lent her expertise to four published books about health and wellness, as well as the leading cancer charity Look Good Feel Better, contributing to their Guide to Managing Hair Loss during and after cancer treatment.
After graduating from Kent University with a First Class Honours Degree in History, specializing in the History of Medicine, Anabel began her career at Philip Kingsley in 2006, managing the Philip Kingsley Trichological Centre, New York. In 2009, she returned to London to join the Philip Kingsley Marketing and New Product Development Team.

We are excited to have Congresswoman Carolyn Maloney on The Style That Binds Us podcast! Carolyn was the first woman to represent New York City's 7th Council district (where she was the first woman to give birth while in office). She was also the first woman to chair the Joint Economic Committee. She became the first woman to chair the House Committee on Oversight and Reform. She was the first to offer a comprehensive package of legislation to make day care more available and affordable. She introduced a bill to establish Permanent Authorization of the September 11 Victim Compensation Fund Act which was signed into law; she advocated to provide Medicare coverage for annual mammograms. Congresswoman Maloney has introduced and advocated for legislation regarding issues such as sexual assaults, sex trafficking, women’s rights and childcare to name a few; she played a role in getting an American Women’s History Museum on the National Mall and is advocating for the Equal Rights Amendment.

Matan is a former Krav Maga officer for a special-ops unit in the Israeli Defense Forces in charge of training Krav Maga, Close Combat, and Counter-Terrorism to hundreds of Special Ops soldiers, Matan has trained US Navy Seals, US Army Rangers and is actively working with NYPD Tactical Training Unit in design, practice and implementation of Krav Maga to the New York Police Academy. He believes that empowerment through training is key to success not only in violent situations but in any stressful curveball life may throw our way. Building a strong and sharp mind along with a strong body is one of the elements most emphasized in Matan’s training. In addition to Krav Maga, Matan holds 8 fitness certificates and has a BA from Columbia University in NYC.
