On a house keeping note, we will be talking the next few weeks off to recharge and refresh. We are so incredibly grateful for everyone who listens to this podcast, & for all your feedback and support thus far. All though it may seem easy, there is a bit of work that goes into scheduling, recording, editing, & posting of these episodes. So after 27 episodes straight (25 of which were back to back weeks) we are gonna take some much needed self care time and enjoy the end of summer. But don't fret we will be back stronger and weirder than ever come September.

Trades & Grades W/ Mr. Jarrett
This week on DSP Mr, Jarrett, a former trades person turned trades teacher from Philadelphia, PA stopped by the show. Jarrett teaches the first ever middle school building trades program for middle school students in the Philadelphia school district. In addition to his school program Jarrett also is in the process of converting an RV he bought into a mobile shop, to offer free classes to children ages 8-17.

This week Andie discuss the tough news she received regarding her electrical exam, Evan talks about his time hanging out with Michelle from The Driverback (from Texas) & Tony from X-Quisite Home Inc from Long Island,NY.

The one, The only, Bryan Baeumler spent some time this week with Evan & Andie on DSP. For anyone who doesnt know Bryan (have you been living under a rock?!?!), he is a builder, business owner, & host of some awesome shows on hgtv. The 3 got talking about how Bryan ended up on HGTV, his journey from handyman to owning many companies, the power of example/being a role model, & why the real resume among other things.

Put The Bat Down
In this episode of DSP Evan & Andie talk more in depth about a recent news story involving a Canadian Carpenter / Tradeswoman & a trades focused podcast that is suing her because she called them out for some very off color and disturbing comments regarding "Cat Calling" The tradeswomen being sued is Natasha Fritz (IG @Naturalcarpentry ) a carpenter and business owner from Toronto, she is being sued for $15 million dollars by a podcast called "The Construction Life". Luckily with big names like Bryan Baeumler ( IG: @bryanbaeumler) calling out the podcast and standing with Natasha i think we can all see this for what it is....People who got caught saying shit they shouldn't have and then pouring salt in the wound. Natasha currently has a go fund me set up for her legal fund, there is a link on her Instagram page.
Also this week we talked about being kind to yourself and putting the bat down.
As always we had 2 great "just the tips" and one hell of a "Quickie".
