Isabella and I discuss live on TikTok all of the nuances of Jewishness as a race and a people and the intersections between oppression.
Isabella Segalovich is an artist, designer, writer, and TikTokker who researches the intersections of politics and design. She graduated from Haverford College with a degree in Fine Arts and Visual Studies and learned about the intersections of race and design while working at Colloqate Design in New Orleans, a social and racial justice-based architecture and design firm. In the past year, she has built a TikTok platform of over 150 thousand followers, discussing how forces like white supremacy have shaped (and are reinforced by) professional design and architecture. She also writes and posts videos for Hyperallergic, an independent online arts journal.

Osin and Patric: Breaking down the St Patric myth
When did you become "white"?
Its an odd question when it is actually framed but it is a deep truth that needs to be confronted. In the system of whiteness there is a requirement to release your true culture and check your humanity at the door in order to gain riches. It feels very much like what good is it to gain the world but lose your soul.
I wonder how often white people think about their own indigeneity? Do you ever question where you are from, what practices did you have before being American? Every group of people are indigenous to some land. Which is yours? What was your language? What were your customs? These are questions to open you up to you ancestral healing.
Much of our disconnect is the disconnection from your humanity and when that happens you cant see the humanity of anyone else. If you are white person in America seeking to do anti racism work and equity work it would behoove you to seek your humanity FIRST. You can't be useful if you are simply empathetic for what has happened to others. Its best to be sympathetic and remembering what you have been disconnected from opens the soul to deep healing.
On this episode we are discussing how St Patric is a tool utilized to further the myth of whiteness within America. We discuss the old Gods of Ireland based on the storytelling of Candlelit Tales and how the Irish lost their identity within the system through forced assimilation and othering and in turn turned form the oppressed into the oppressors.
Part of ancestral healing is learning that your ethnic culture very much attaches you to an origin story and reminds you that you are more than a construct created for and economic system. The more the construct of race spreads the further the energetic fields take over identity and erases truth and connection.
These conversations I have are created to reconnect with your true self and your story in order to release the systems that hold us all down.

When is the right time to reveal your gender identity?
Gender disclosure is so much more than what we make it seem. There is a myth that trans people are trying to trick or deceive a partner, but do we look at the potential rejection to be faced? More over are we looking into the truth that many trans people, especially Black trans women are killed by their partners?
Disclosure and living in your authentic truth goes well beyond a simple conversation. We need to ensure the safety of our fellow humans to make their lived truths as safe and welcomed as possible.

Healing your DNA and ancestral lines through epigenetics
I had such an AMAZING time discussing epigenetics (Epigenetics is the study of how your behaviors and environment can cause changes that affect the way your genes work CDC) with Sabr Lyon. They go into the depths of how you can do this healing through ancestry work specifically when you're white and we discuss many intersections, and cross some many lines and just have a really connective time getting to know each other and the work each of us do. We will be working in tandem come June on an ancestral healing program that will be inclusive and deal in intersections. Take a listen and let us know what you think.

Here is what we know.
22 year old Rico Marley was arrested yesterday and charged with reckless conduct for entering a Publix with 2 long guns and 4 handguns. Later on they charged him with intent to commit a felony (how does one determine intent) and is now facing 5 felony counts and gun charges.
This should concern us all. Black lives set the bar and precedents on how ALL lives are treated in America.
In other words "First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a socialist.
Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out— because I was not a trade unionist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—because I was not a Jew.

I need all of the NRA, 2A don't tread on me, come and get em white men to stand up and speak LOUDLY for your fellow American who was unconstitutionally arrested and un fairly charged. Your whiteness will not protect you from an overreaching government.
