Destroy All Children

2/25/2021 - Butthole Doors & Art Bell
This week, we discuss Jim Ryan's GQ interview about the state of PlayStation, the demise of Daft Punk, last week's Nintendo Direct, and water levels. I hate them. Just the worst. If you're making a video game, and you think, "Hey, we should add a water level," here's some advice: fucking don't, you maniac. Stop it. You need to be stopped, by force if need be.  Then, in Retro Corner, it's Ristar.  Theme song by David Cassel Outro music: "No Sleep Til Brooklyn (Daft Science remix)" by Coins
February 25, 2021
2/18/2021 - Some Kind of Monstrum
Low-energy episode this week, as I'm snowed in, but hey, George finished Control! I started Ys IX: Monstrum Nox! There was some news on the horizon when this was recorded, so we attempted to predict what it would be. It was, uhhh... Depressingly accurate, it turns out. Then, in Retro Corner, George played some Mickey Mouse games for Children. Magical Quest, The Great Circus Mystery, and Mickey Mania, to be specific. You know, David Jaffe worked on Mickey Mania. That was before he went on to greener pastures, creating such beloved franchises as Twisted Metal, God of War, Calling All Cars, and Drawn to Death. I don't know what he's up to now. He doesn't return my calls. Theme song by David Cassel Outro music: "Dynamite" by Dr. Casper Darling
February 18, 2021
2/11/2021 - What Straight-Edge Does to a MF
This week: I finished Resident Evil 7, plus (most of) its DLC. George is finally playing Control. I revisited Mortal Kombat 11. George also played the FORBIDDEN XBLA GoldenEye leak. We consider the legend of the Cum Punk. Then, in Retro Corner, George gives his thoughts on Mega Man Legends, and I have to confront him with some uncomfortable truths about Tiesel Bonne... Theme song by David Cassel Outro music - "Out of Control" by Oingo Boingo
February 11, 2021
2/4/2021 - Gexual Harassment (with Dylan)
Friend Of The Show Dylan (@gruel_dylan on twitter) joins us for a special episode this week, because I finally played Resident Evil 7! There's also some horseshit about Hitman 3, The Medium, Far Cry 2, and, uhhh... About an hour of Gex Chat. This is the nation's hottest Gex Line. Hot geckos are waiting for YOU!  Theme song by David Cassel Outro music: "What's On Your Mind (Pure Energy)" by Information Society
February 4, 2021
1/28/2021 - A World of Pure Assassination
A lot of news happened this week, in complete inverse of the usual routine. Xbox Live's price hike (and backtracking), Konami doing Thangs, Gamestop stock insanity, and more! We also talk about Donut County and... Sonic 2006... Before getting to the main topic of the week: Hitman 3! Spoiler alert: We like it a whole lot.  Theme song by David Cassel Outro music: "You Think I Ain't Worth A Dollar, But I Feel Like A Millionaire" by Queens of the Stone Age
January 28, 2021
1/21/2021 - Hasana Muku
This week: I played Mafia: Definitive Edition, and discuss my feelings on what was improved or made worse in the remake. George talks about another Shinya Tsukamoto movie, Vital, whereas I just rant about WandaVision. Then, in Retro Corner, George tells us all about The Legend of Dragoon, a game that was not made by Squaresoft. News to me! Note: immediately after recording, I realized Taboo was a Nagisa Oshima movie, but its Japanese title is Gohatto, which is close enough to whatever that other movie was. So sue me, big whoop Theme song by David Cassel
January 21, 2021
1/14/2021 - Girl, You're Making Me Harden
This week: I played through Mortal Shell, we take one last step into the Gabagool Zone to discuss Goodfellas, and there are not one but TWO Retro Corners: Mafia and Pocky & Rocky.  Theme song by David Cassel Outro music: "Enough!!" by A Tribe Called Quest
January 14, 2021
1/7/21 - Alpha, Bring Me Five Israelis With Attitude!
Entering DAC Year Two, it's the same bullshit: I rant about superhero movies while George plays games from 30 fucking years ago.  No idea why anyone listens to this, but we're not going to stop. This is all we have left, and the march to our deaths, likely in a murder-suicide, continues unabated.  Anyway, I watched Wonder Woman 1984, so I had to talk about that piece of shit. George is having more PS5 Problems, which isn't a surprise at this point, because that console is kinda bad. I also played Simon's Quest, so I have a mini-Retro Corner about that, but the Main Event is a Treasure showcase. Specifically, Gunstar Heroes, Alien Soldier, and Dynamite Headdy.  Theme song by David Cassel Outro music: "You're Izayoi" from the Dynamite Headdy OST
January 7, 2021
The 2020 Golden Gremmies
With the good must come the bad... And, believe it or not, this is not an All-Cyberpunk Spectacular. Not sure if you're aware, but a lot of shitty stuff happened this year.
December 31, 2020
The 2020 Golden Gizmos
Join us as we celebrate the best this year had to offer! Or, at least, the best ones we played, anyway.
December 31, 2020
12/24/2020 - Don't Get Me Wrong, I'm Really Not Souped
It's a packed episode this week: First, I give my thoughts on Harmonix's newest offering, Fuser. Then it's time for the weekly Cyberpunk segment, because of course that's still a fucking mess. Then we head back into the Gabagool Zone and discuss Martin (I call him Marty, y'know, because we're pals) Scorsese's 1995 film Casino, starring Don Rickles and James Woods. In Retro Corner, George decides to have a Sacred Cow BBQ and shit all over Secret of Mana. From what I understand, it's very similar to Morrowind.  Theme song by David Cassel Outro music by ME, I made it in Fuser. Suck my dick, Mozart. You dumb ancient dead bastard.
December 24, 2020
12/17/2020 - I Paid My Money, And I'm Gonna Punk All The Cybers!
This week: more Cyberpunk 2077 horseshit! Hard to believe, I know, but the hits keep coming and they won't stop coming. We also take a look at the announcements from the 2020 Keighleys. But after that business is done, we head back into The Gabagool Zone to discuss The Godfather Part III. Then, in Retro Corner, the games du jour are Actraiser 1 and 2.  Theme song by David Cassel Outro music: "I Paid My Money" by Ben Folds, from Fear of Pop Vol. 1
December 17, 2020
12/10/2020 - George Brundle's Cry for Help [READ EPISODE DESCRIPTION]
NOTE: My audio is fucked on this ep, sorry. On the one week I didn't do an audio check, it decided to record from my wireless headset mic, which sucks, instead of my real one. So I sound like I'm underwater this week, but George is fine, and most of this episode is devoted to his particular brand of psychosis anyway. So yeah, George bought Sonic Forces. Dumbass. And we head back into the Gabagool Zone to talk about The Godfather Part II. Other than that, there's the death of movie theaters, Cyber-Seizures, and in Retro Corner we get to reminisce about that joyful pink puffball of destruction, Kirby. Theme song by David Cassel Outro music - "Help!" by The Beatles
December 10, 2020
12/3/2020 - Pachinko Teaser
This week's episode includes: Nintendo's continuing shittiness, SNK going the way of Jamal Khashoggi, Star War Squadrons, the Xbox being able to play more PS2 games than the PS5, and... Jesus Christ... George watched the motherfucking Sonic movie. God dammit. I mean, look, it was only a matter of time. I knew it would happen eventually, he said he wouldn't see it, but he wasn't fooling anybody. He's a fucking Sonic freak. Here's some Insider Information about George Brundle: He's been telling me lately that he wants to buy Sonic Forces. You know, just to have it. He is adamant that he WILL NOT spend more than 10 dollars on it, which is still way too much, but I have a feeling eventually he'll break down and get it for more than that. He has a problem.  Anyway, Retro Corner is about Mega Man X5 and 6.  Theme song by David Cassel Outro music: "(The Angels Wanna Wear My) Red Shoes" by Elvis Costello
December 3, 2020
11/26/2020 - David Cronenberg's Crash 4
This week, we discuss Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time, Yakuza: Like a Dragon, Watch Dogs: Legion, and Miles Morales. Then, in Retro Corner, the focus is on Francis Ford Coppola's The Godfather (1972). Now that's freakin' retro!!!  Theme song by David Cassel
November 26, 2020
11/19/2020 - So the World Might Be Mended
The PS5 is here, and we're here to talk about it. The good and the bad. And, unfortunately, I have a lot of bad to talk about... But it has Demon's Souls! And Miles Morales! Those are good! Just, uh... Don't try to run anything off of an external drive. And don't try to copy games over because it's a waste of time and you'll have to reinstall them anyway. And also don't put your console into rest mode. But as long as you avoid all of that you should be fine. Theme song by David Cassel Outro music: "Brick House" by The Commodores
November 19, 2020
11/12/2020 - Live From the Xbox Vapor Chamber
I have in my possession an Xbox Series X! It seems pretty good so far, apart from an apparently faulty disc drive, but hey, whaddya gonna do. At least I have it... Anyway, after Xbox Chat, in Retro Corner we look at two of the finest games ever made: Legend of the Mystical Ninja and Mystical Ninja Starring Goemon. Hell yes.  Theme song by David Cassel
November 12, 2020
11/5/2020 - Jo Jorgensen's Bizarre Adventure
This week: the FINAL update on 13 Sentinels, thoughts about Pikmin 3 Deluxe, Cyberpunk's newest delay, and the Watch Dogs hack. After that, Retro Corner is about ?uest 64 and Ogre Battle 64: Person of Lordly Caliber. Normal stuff. Games for cool dudes. We're cool. Both of us are cool. Please tell us we're cool. We've always been cool.  The Mystery of the Druids review mentioned, it's seriously worth watching: Theme song by David Cassel Outro music: "Ogre Battle" by Queen
November 5, 2020
10/29/2020 - DieHard Is Back | 2:00 Film
DIE HARD IS BACK!!! (Video: ) Anyway, after some continuing discussion of 13 Sentinels, which I have now completed and am much more positive on than I was at the time of recording, this episode is allllllll about Castlevania. A whole lot of Castlevanias. Way more than I expected, to be honest. Bless anyone who makes it through this entire thing. This episode is also about Borat. Theme song by David Cassel
October 29, 2020
10/22/2020 - There's Life Underground
This week: more 13 Sentinels talk, the INCREDIBLE success of Sonic the Hedgehog at the box office, and other random crap because there wasn't any notable news this week. In Retro Corner, we discuss Ecco the Dolphin, Super Ghouls N Ghosts, and Splatterhouse. Also Voyage of the Mimi and The Lawnmower Man, for some reason. NOTE: I thought Pierce Brosnan had cybersex in that movie when it was, in fact, Jeff Fahey. So don't email me about that blunder. Theme song by David Cassel Outro music: "Just Another Day" by Oingo Boingo
October 22, 2020
10/15/2020 - Roll That Beautiful Sean Bean Footage
Not much news this week (apart from the PS5 teardown) so we talk about Spyro the Dragon, Call o' Duty, and 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim. In this week's Retro Corner, George enlightens us on the spookifying thrill-rides known as Silent Hill 1 and 2. That's it, that's what's in this episode. What else do you want from me? Why are you even reading this? Freak. Theme song by David Cassel
October 15, 2020
10/8/2020 - O'Brien Must Be Inconvenienced
After a week off, we have a lot of important topics to talk about, such as: The XSX's storage costs and backwards compatibility performance, Yakuza 7's bizarre situation, the release of Super Mario 35, and, for some reason, a whole bunch of Star Track bullshit. In the Retro Corner, we have Tomb Raider and Dino Crisis 1 & 2. So you have that to look forward to.  Theme song by David Cassel Outro music: "Boss of Me" by David Bowie

Then, in what I think is our longest Retro Corner to date, George somehow managed to play through System Shock 1 and 2. I'm so proud of my little boy...  Theme song by David Cassel Outro music: "There She Goes, My Beautiful World" by Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds

In Retro Corner, George talks about the fantastic game Super Mario Land 2: Six Golden Coins, and also defends Super Mario Land for some reason. What a freak. Theme song by David Cassel.
September 10, 2020
9/3/2020 - Ollie North by Ollie Northwest
Gonna be real with you: this week's episode ain't great. Low energy and not much to talk about. But hey, George is finally playing Ghost of...  Tsushima, I'm playing Shadow of the Tomb Raider, and then we find the true depths of George's depravity: playing Pokemon Stadium 2, to completion, on purpose. What a freak.

Slice 10 [Aero the Acro-Bat / Aero the Acro-Bat 2] is the website for Burt Ward's dog food. Please note: it is not nearly as fucked up as it used to be. At the top are links to other pages, and previously, all of that content was on one giant, endlessly scrolling page. It was magical. You can see one version of this via the Wayback Machine, if you want to wait 8 hours for the page to load: oh and we talked about Aero the Acro-Bat I guess. That's not important though

Slice 8 [Keio Flying Squadron / Popful Mail (Sega CD)]
Playing these games got us put on a government watchlist, and it was NOT worth it. Want to tell us that these pervert games are better than we think they are? Email us at and there's a 99% chance we'll read it on-air, assuming you don't write anything legally actionable. Actually, even if you did, we'd probably read it, we don't care.

Slice 007 [GoldenEye 007 (N64)]
This week, Larry talked about Star Track. Want to yell at us about how we're wrong about video games? Email and we'll probably read it on-air, even if it's about how we're a couple of shit-ass turd bags! I mean, that's not wrong.

Slice 4 [Super Mario Bros. 1, 2, and 3]

Slice 3 [Rocket Knight Adventures / Sparkster (SNES) / Sparkster (GEN)]
Time for some classic Sega side-scrollers featuring anthropomorphic animals! No, not those. The other ones. No, the OTHER other ones. No, not-- you know what, forget it.
