EP#317: Quieting The Food Noise For Good (The 6 Reasons & How to Stop Them)
In today's episode of Dieting From The Inside Out we're diving into quieting the food noise.
This episode was one that was highly requested after the Ozempic/GLP-1 podcast we did a couple episodes ago.
The truth is "food noise" is the side effect of a deeper issue...this way if we get to the root of what's causing it the food noise goes away.
I've been using these strategies with clients for years before the term "food noise" got trendy.
In my opinion there are 6 reasons for food noise so if we get to the bottom of each the food noise itself will go away.

Welcome back to the show! Today we're interviewing an amazing woman named Tori.
Tori is a client and I wanted to bring her on the show to share her story of how she has broken free from all of the diet culture nonsense.
Tori was training for hours every day. She thought she was stuck with a 1200-calorie diet and restrictive programs like Weight Watchers. She felt so much anxiety and fear around food that she felt like she wasn't able to live her life.
That's not sustainable. That's not the way to do it. That's where Tori was coming from.
Now, she has gone from chasing skinny to chasing strong, which has led to her losing even more weight and body fat and keeping the weight off—and she's not afraid of food anymore.
I wanted to bring Tori on the show so you guys can hear all this directly from her—from someone you can relate to—because I know it's not the same to just hear me telling you guys this stuff.

EP#278: Tactical Tips to Learn Moderation Around Food
Welcome back to the show! Today we are going to get into some seriously tactical stuff. We're going to talk about how to tactically learn to have moderation around food and not spiral out of control.
I know that doesn't sound very sexy, however, the truth is that when it comes to having control over yourself, your food, and not spiraling out of control, most people have zero moderation around food.
We hear all the time, "You can have whatever you want in moderation"—I say it all the time too—but what even is moderation? And what if I can't?
What if I start on a pack of Oreos and I literally can't put it down?
How do I fix that?
If you've been listening to the show for a while you know that one of my biggest pet peeves is when coaches don't give tactical, tangible advice. Like when someone says, "Just be more mindful."
What does that even mean?
I find a lot of people need more definition around what moderation is, what that looks like, and how to have a tactical plan around it.
This is one of those episodes that is going to sound very philosophically tactical, because, yes, being more mindful and learning moderation are more philosophical things, but I'm going to break it down in the most tactical way where you're going to be able to run with this and change your life.
So, if you can't control yourself around food, struggle with binge eating, or just don’t have a good idea of what moderation around food even is, this episode is for you.
We are going to get into all of those things and how to create a tactical plan so you can become bulletproof around food.

I have SUCH a cool interview for you today! I am interviewing one of my coaches, Sydnee, and her client, Lynn.
I wanted to get Lynn on the show because I know her story will change your entire perspective. Lynn is in her 60s and has struggled with dieting for decades. Since she started working with Coach Sydnee, Lynn has been able to completely 180 her life in just 4 months.
Think about that—5 or 6 decades worth of struggle, of yo-yo dieting, of failure, and weight gain, all the stuff, repaired because of our Dieting From The Inside Out methodology—because of the inner game tweaks and adjustments.
She has been able to end 50-60 years worth of struggle in 4 months and it has been the most amazing thing to watch firsthand.

In today's episode, I interviewed a good friend of mine, Dr. Brandon Parker. The main reason I wanted to get Brandon on here was to talk about mobility and the mindset and perspective you need to have in order to just move better.
Most people have it in their heads that it's normal to, as we get older, tend to be hurting and to not move as well. That's not the case at all!
Brandon is amazing with this stuff and puts out some of the best content around it and I wanted to get his perspective around not only this but the mindset and the things you need to be doing in order to move better. So you just walk around with less pain and so you can be happier and live a better life.
At the end of the day, if you're in pain all the time—physically, let alone emotionally and mentally—that's going to dampen your experiences in life. It's going to kill anything you do and you're overall going to not be as happy of a person.
We get into a lot in this episode, including how to fix your relationship with exercise and the mindset you need to have going into moving better and mobility.
