We are moms. Our love for our kids goes deep. As a result, we are going to experience emotional hardship at times.
James 5: 13 Is anyone among you suffering? Let him pray. Is anyone cheerful? Let him sing psalms.
Prov 10:1 But a foolish son is the grief of his mother.
Prov 23:25 Let your father and your mother be glad, And let her who bore you rejoice.
Matthew 19:14 But Jesus said, “Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of heaven.”
1 Cor 13: 11 When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child; but when I became a man, I put away childish things. 12 For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face.

We met in college. I was an English and Music double major and Doug got his degree in Sociology. Our oldest child was born in 1991 and our youngest was born in 2011, so yes, if you do the math, we have kids 20 years apart! Doug and I were ordained and licensed for ministry in 2004. He is quite a teacher and preacher, currently a small group leader at our church, and I have been a Worship director and Prayer Ministry director. I also homeschooled for 20 years! We both are authors! He is finishing up his 3rd book of the God on Trial Series and I just released my 3rd book! You can find out books on my website, tinawebb.net/books
1 Thessalonians 5:18 give thanks in all circumstances! Did you know that making a conscious effort to be grateful helps us emotionally, mentally, and physically?

“Are We Failing the Word of God?” by not vetting every thought, every idea, every media broadcast, every thing that we learn, read, or hear with the Word of God? In other words, are we not taking every reasoning, idea, or opinion that we have or that we hear into the obedience of Christ? Are we not casting down “high thoughts” ...reasonings that actually disagree with God’s word.

Doug and Tina were ordained and licensed for ministry in 2004. He works full time, owns a small business as well. Doug is a Life Group leader at their church and the author of the God on Trial series. Tina is the author of three books. Culture Changers: Understand the Roots of Brokenness and Help Heal Your Family and Community; Justice Reframed: How the Cross Confronts our Pursuit of Justice and Cultivating the Souls of Parents: Facing Our Brokenness; Embracing His Likeness. Every week she talks specifically to moms in the 14 Minute #Momlife Pause on this podcast.
Holidays carry a level of stress and this year there are different types of decisions that have to be made--to travel or not to travel, to invite relatives or to quarantine. Tina encourages moms to tune in to their inner world, in other words, check their emotional gauges. Like a car, if we run on empty, something is going to come to a complete stop! When we do not pause to discern any unforgiveness, fear, anxiety, etc, this "stuff" will end up spilling out on everyone else. We must go to the Lord and He will help us reset.
Tina is the author of three books: Cultivating the Souls of Parents, Justice Reframed, and Culture Changers.

Doug and Tina continue going through Scriptures that discuss how God wants us to understand the authority that He has given us as redeemed people. In lieu of the US elections, Doug talks about God's view of respect, how we talk about candidates, and honoring authority.

In this debut episode of Digging Deep - Life talk w/ Doug and Tina, the couple talks about:
Why would God subject Himself to his own rules?
Why would God let sinful humanity keep a level of responsibility for Earth?
How in the Father's eyes, sin does not disqualify a believer from sonship and our inheritance as God's children.
Using a baseball analogy, Doug delves into Psalm 24:1, Psalm 115:16, 2 Chronicles 7:14, and the story of the Prodigal Son.
Digging Deep Podcast features a weekly 30-35 min. episode for a general audience and a 14 min. episode by Tina called The 14 Min. #Momlife Pause
