We spoke to Lman Chu, the co-Founder and CEO of BIILabs, who is working to solve critical issues of trust and security for mobility and energy management. The Internet of Things is quickly turning into the Internet of Everything, meaning that data-misidentification and security breaches will become more ubiquitous and catastrophic.

In this episode, we tackle autonomous driving and public transportation. Joining us is Stephen Liu, executive director of business development at Turing Drive, a Taiwanese company developing self-driving systems. Since 2018, their specially-made domestic electric vehicles have operated more than 18,000 kilometers and carried more than 57,000 passengers. Stephen explains what it is like building urban technology for cities, the challenges in dealing with municipal legislation, and Turin’s intention to expand into the private market.

How can we secure personal data in an age when it has become fully commoditized? This question and more are answered by Sean Moss-Pultz, the co-founder and CEO of Bitmark, working to create a property system for establishing value and legal control over the world's data. Property rights were invented for land (real property) and then ideas (intellectual property), but none extend to the digital world. Sean defines the digital property, defends it, and makes it economically divisible. Their most recent project helped track Covid-19 spread in a community.
