Who are our NHS Unsung Heroes? - part 2
As we approach the anniversary of the UK's first COVID-19 lockdown and celebrate the contributions of women during International Women's Day (and every day!), we speak to two extraordinary unsung NHS heroes, Megan and Lauren. From cleaners and physio therapists, to canteen professionals and redeployed corporate staff, the whole of the NHS has worked alongside our doctors and nurses to protect and serve the UK throughout the pandemic. Across this two-part episode, we wanted to help raise awareness of our unsung NHS heroes, hear how they're copying with the ongoing pandemic and see what they would say in an audience with the PM, Boris Johnson and Health Secretary, Matt Hancock, and their parting messages for the public.

Biden to the rescue?
We're back!!!
We've taken a break, had another lockdown and now we're back with part 2 of series 1. And to kick things off, we're tackling one of the hot topics of the past few weeks: the Presidential Election. Joined by US strategist and Senior Policy Advisor, John Bleed, we look at what a Biden victory might mean.
We discuss; four years of Biden and his reset, "Trumpism", the future of Roe v. Wade, voter suppression, AOC, republican women taking the House and will Ivanka Trump run for president or will 2024 be the election of Kamala Harris versus Nikki Haley?!
Tune in to hear all of this and much, much more. Huge thanks again to John for this super interesting discussion and the invaluable insights! (Recorded 24 Nov 2020)

Can fast fashion ever really be ethical and empowering? Going "Inside Missguided"
In this episode, we take a look at Channel 4's controversial new docu-series - Inside Missguided. The CEO of Missguided, Nitin Passi may believe fast fashion can unfairly get a bad rep - but can fast fashion ever really be ethical and empower people? Or are we missing the point of it and is class snobbery dominating the debate? To deleve into these questions (and scratch the surface of this mammoth industry) we welcome ethical fashion expert Abbie Morris, Co-Founder and CEO of Compare Ethics to the episode to find out what's really inside Missguided and fast fashion.

What is financial abuse and will the Domestic Abuse Bill solve the problem?
In this week’s episode, we hear from our friend & colleague, Amy Brooker. Amy joins us to explore an important and emotive issue impacting many people's lives in the UK: domestic abuse. During our discussion, we take a deep dive into economic and financial abuse and the adverse consequences of the current Universal Credit system on those being abused. We interview Amy, who penned her dissertation on this subject, as the Domestic Abuse Bill makes its way through the House of Lords. We talk through: definitions, abuse in the LGBTQ+ community, why legislation is important, what’s missing and the impacts COVID-19 have had on domestic abuse.

Is Coronavirus turning the clock back on gender equality?
In this episode; we explore the government's move to suspend gender pay gap reporting (due to COVID-19), what impact the virus is having on our responsibilities in the home and how we can continue to work productively when living and working in the same space.
As we highlight the importance of reporting of data and reporting on gender, we wanted to also highlight the following petition, which calls on the government to introduce mandatory ethnicity pay gap reporting. You can sign the petition or learn more about it here: petition.parliament.uk/petitions/300105
Disclaimer: The data for Gender Pay Gap reporting looks at male or female-identifying gender, but does not currently include non-binary.
