Verses 1-6: This wisdom psalm basically functions as an introduction to the entire book of Psalms.  Psalm 1 separates all people into their respective spiritual categories:

1. By observation, all people are separated ethically (1:1-4)
2. A picture of the Godly (1:1-3).
3. A Picture of the Ungodly (1:4).
4. By outcome, all people are separated judicially (1:5-6).
5. The Failure of Ungodly People (1:5).
6. The Fruition of Lifestyles (1:6).
7. Recognition of the Godly.
8. Ruination of the ungodly (1:6b).

Ephesians 5:15-20

Be careful how you live,” Paul says. The opposite of careful is careless. The Greek here means – “don't stumble through life, don't just drift through life.” The word translated “live” can also be “walk” so be careful how you live or walk. Don't trip and fall

Psalm 46 says God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. The reality is that there will be difficult times, but God promises to be our refuge.

The Older Brother is so angry his younger brother is received with open arms he refuses to join the party!  So the Father goes out to him!

Jesus relates the situation of a father who has TWO sons, one of whom can't wait for his inheritance. Resulting in The Prodigal Son Parable.  The word "prodigal" basically means "wasteful" in regard to money.

After the disciples return to Jesus, He suggests they rest and take some time away in a secluded place. Jesus goes with them, but when they arrive, they find a large crowd of people waiting. While the disciples are worried about how they will feed such a large group, Jesus shows them that anything is possible with faith.

"If you can hear."...is what Jesus asked.  "Love Your Enemies"

Don't expend warfare energy in the wrong place!  To effectively fight a spiritual war we must fight spiritual forces with spiritual weapons!
