We all have those days that don't go according to plan. The days where we don't feel motivated to get things done. The days where we see everything through "doom & gloom" glasses. One tact I have found that helps me is to STOP and look around, REFLECT on the wonderful things that I can see & APPRECIATE what I have in my view. This act of gratitude will help you and may help you get out of a dark mood. It's important to accept these moods but try this little gratitude practice, and I hope it helps.

Finding the truth is hard. We're all prone to biases and can only spend so much time learning about the world. How can we learn the truth in the most efficient way, and use it to make the world a better place? Michael aims to solve this problem. He uses his expertise in data science and systematic reviews to find the truth about what works best. He uses this knowledge to change behaviour in health, education, sport, and the broader community. He has received 5 awards for outstanding teaching and has an emerging track record of publishing high-quality research. He has also used this background to have an impact in the community, from coaches and players in the NRL and AFL, and to leading executives from the wealth and financial services industries. He hopes to help people change their own behaviour and the behaviour of others to live more effective, inspiring, and high-performing lives.

Andy is also known as a commentator and analyst in Australia with Fox Sports. However, more than anything, Harps is one of my closest friends. I was so fortunate to meet when we were very young.

Self-compassion involves treating yourself with the same kindness, concern and support you’d show to a good friend. When faced with difficult life struggles, or confronting personal mistakes, failures, and inadequacies, self-compassion responds with kindness rather than harsh self-judgment, recognizing that imperfection is part of the human experience. To give oneself compassion, one must be able to turn toward, acknowledge, and accept that one is suffering, meaning that mindfulness is a core component of self-compassion.
In this episode, Dr Craig discusses self-compassion and how an unkind inner voice may be causing you problems.
Here is a good meditation to help you start the process of being more compassionate to yourself

Radical individualism has minimal positive outcomes for individuals and communities. It's great to be YOU as you are special but not at the expense of others. Humans need humans and a "good life" is one that helps others whilst doing no home. So in this DO YOU environment yes DO YOU so you can DO BETTER for our world.

I'm so excited about this interview with Luke Mathers (www.lukemathers.com.au) the author of Stress Teflon. This is a must-listen as Luke has so much wisdom and I always get insight from every one of our conversations.
Luke Mathers has a rare magnetism that occurs when you meet truly authentic people. He is someone that cares about the people he meets and he shows it. Luke is a husband and father and true Australian visionary who refuses to conform and believes in doing good and making the world a better place.
Growing up with three older sisters, he learnt at an early age that anything was possible. With a love of innovation, he has owned more than a dozen businesses. He is an inventor, author, and philanthropist who is constantly looking to find better ways to improve the world around him.
Luke started an optometry aid service in Vanuatu and has provided thousands of pairs of glasses to people who were devastated by Cyclone Pam. But allowing people to see wasn’t enough for this ambitious, go-getting Aussie. He is also a founding shareholder and board advisor to Nevhouse, a company that builds low-cost housing in third-world countries out of recycled plastic. Luke is a true believer that stress can be good for you if you learn how to utilise it.
In this episode, Dr Craig gives a challenge to all of us to do 3 acts of kindness every day. We can all make the world a better place just by being kind Dr Craigs new book Self-Science - A study of you by you will be out by September, so if you are interested, please make contact

Gary Cole played for the Australian National Football Team, coached at the Australian Institute of Sport, was football manager at Melbourne Victory and Sydney FC. He has had an extensive career in football and is one of the most respected people in Sport in Australia. However, like all our guests, this is just the start as Gary is also a fantastic person that inspires me with his outlook on life and the impact he has on others. We discuss Gary's origins and also his recent battle with a significant illness. I enjoyed this interview very much, and I know you will too and even if you don't know Gary from football.
This is a must-listen just to hear about the process of being diagnosed with cancer to fighting the biggest challenge of life. Contact Gaz on social media (twitter) @gazzagazzagc if you want to continue the discussion
If we don't do the deep work and identify our purpose in life, we will find ourselves being pulled in multiple directions. How many times have you agreed to have a meeting or do anything that wasn't essential? It has happened to me and happens to me often. Greg Mckeown wrote an excellent book Essentialism that is well worth reading on this exact topic. Become a self scientist and determine your purpose and stick to it otherwise, you won't be living your life
John Aloisi is a former professional football (Soccer) player and now is a professional coach. John had an incredible career as a player with 459 appearances and over 120 goals. He is remembered for scoring the final penalty to get Australia to the 2006 World Cup but also as the only Australian to play in the English Premier League, Italian Seria A and the Spanish La Liga. John has coached Melbourne Heart and Brisbane Roar in the A-League and has an outstanding future in coaching.
In this interview we talk about Johns early days growing up in Adelaide, the AIS, going to Europe at 16, meditation, that penalty, the World Cup and coaching. This was a most enjoyable interview and I'm sure you will get lots out of it.

We discuss Terry's origin story, his career in football, and the transition post-retirement.
Times can be tough and we all experience suffering in some form. However, by reflecting that even in our most difficult days it could always be worse. This process can give great strength when you need it most
This is the audio from a recent webinar for my friends at SNAP Printing. The focus on managing stress and anxiety during difficult times and how best to navigate these periods of life. Although COVID-19 has elevated stress and anxiety this is an issue at all times. Please send any questions to me if you need any further information
This is a difficult time but crucial we manage our stress and anxiety. In this episode Dr Craig speaks about the key factors that will enhance your immune system and help you navigate the difficulties of this time
Use you time to really get to know who you are. Where are you presently in your life and is it different to where you want to be? No time like the present to simply sit back and reflect - become a true self-scientist to maximize your potential
I’m no expert on the corona virus but it’s a good example of where we manage what is in our control and what is outside. Spending time focusing on what is outside our control will cause anxiety and is a waste of mental energy. The key is to really reflect on what is in and outside your control.
If your in a leadership position or a coach how long since you have had criticism from your support team? If it’s been a while it sounds like you have an echo chamber in your midst. A challenge network will help you and your team to progress BUT can your ego handle it
Liam and I have worked extensively together and I recorded this interview for students in the Human Performance space - it is about Liams journey and offers great insight into how to get into the High Performance Field
I will start doing more Q&A so please send questions in. This one was about laziness in respect to exercise. I don’t think it’s laziness it’s just about setting goals we can achieve and building on this
We often think we are having a bad day but is it really that bad? There will be a time in your life when you wish for this day as you will realize it wasn’t that bad. Look for the good when your feeling bad and it will make all the difference
A couple of episodes ago I spoke about what diet was right for you and it gained lots of positive feedback so here is one on exercise. KEY is to become a self-scientist and analyze yourself to make sure it is a program that is RIGHT for you
A common New Years resolution is to change your diet or lose weight BUT are you on a diet that will really work for you. Any diet will work for a short time BUT it’s really about changing your lifestyle and finding a nutritional regime that meets your needs and personality. This is why it’s vital you starting taking responsibility by becoming a self scientist and analyzing you so you get the best outcomw
It doesn’t matter who you are one of the primary things we need in life is to feel safe and people that enhance this feeling are so valuable. It is the basic role of parents, coaches and leaders BUT sadly this does not always happen
In 2020 I will be releasing my book SELF SCIENCE which is all about a study of you by YOU - taking responsibility for all aspects of your life by becoming informed on how to beat manage your performance and maximize your potential
We can’t control much of life BUT we can always control our perception and that is so powerful. In this episode I discuss how if we look at our world with a different lens our life can be very different
Many people get results this time of year from high school, university, performance reviews etc BUT we need to remember it’s about the journey and doing our very very best and NOT being defined by a score
Often people write to me about being lazy and demotivated. They have started a new exercise regime or diet but after a couple of weeks they stop. It’s not laziness it’s just we set ourselves up to fail by not having programs that individualized for our own personalities. Focus on being a self-scientist and small steps and build up
I’m no fan of New Years resolutions and with less than 80 days left of 2019 you have the opportunity to make changes NOW. In fact every day you can make a change and if you fail you have another day and another Make 2019 memorable and as always it’s up to you
We have so much available data and choice that it becomes difficult to make simple decisions. Decision fatigue decreases our ability to be creative and productive so try to decrease the amount of decisions you need to make each day - contact me at drcraigduncan@gmail to discuss further or join our community at www.100xcoach.com
Leaders, coaches and all of us need good people around us. People that will give true insight rather than just saying yes to everything we do and say. Many leaders surround themselves with an echo chamber and this is the most dangerous thing you can do - it’s time to assess your staff and be very aware of those that agree with everything you do and say all of the time. If you want to maximize the performance of your team, Organisation or self you won’t do it if you are surrounded by an echo chamber
How often do you get stuck in situations that take a large amount of your valuable time for very little reward? The 80/20 rule or Pareto principle gives good insight into how to make the most of your time. Joint our 100x community at www.100xcoach.com to get even more information on our podcast topics
We spend much of our life just going from day to day, task to task BUT it’s important to analyse where we are and where we want to be and to spend the time reflecting on the bigger questions of life - remember we now have the 100x community at www.100xcoach.com and it’s free to join
Some days we just don’t feel great and we don’t feel like being grateful, positive or motivated. There is often a physiological reason associated with this and it’s about being self aware. However, accept that it’s ok not to always be great but it’s important that you keep on track with your routines (journaling, exercise etc) and the sun will soon be shining again
When we are young we have beautiful dreams and goals but we lose this part of us as we grow older - we get caught up in reality BUT it’s time to change and start dreaming again - even if you don’t get what you want the JOURNEY will be the reward
There is too much pressure on our younger population with school exams etc - Depression and Anxiety at this age because of exams needs to be eradicated. Parents putting pressure on their children so they can feel better about the RESULT their child gets at school - IT IS CRAZY - DON'T LET ANYONE DEFINE YOU BY A NUMBER
The grass is rarely greener on the other side but most of us think a change will make all the difference. Maybe we just need to change our perception and start working on maximizing our potential and stop blaming others
If you do not have the job you want - WHY? If we spend a third of our life working why waste it - in fact it’s more than that because even when we are not working often we are thinking about it etc etc - life’s too short to waste time hating your job
