This one's going out by popular request! By who, you ask? Me. Colin. I requested this one. Billy and Chuck are a classic example of a few different types of tag team. 1) 2 guys who the company liked, but didn't know what to do with, so they made them a team and 2) A team who burned bright and fast and was gone before you knew it. Such an interesting team in so many ways, from the character, to the entrance music, to some incredible matches, we talk about it ALL. Let's go!

I didn't realize until I was editing the podcast just now, that it's Tracy Smothers Birthday today. We discuss this in the podcast, but when Tracy passed away, we wanted to cover a tag team he was on, and we chose the FBI, but we really wanted to do this team. I'm happy we did it, and I'm happy that it can go up on Tracy's Birthday. Happy Birthday Tracy, we miss you.

People let me tell ya 'bout my Besttttttt Friends. Chuck Taylor and Trent Baretta, two guys from different backgrounds, took two completely different paths, but arrived together to become one of the best tag teams in the past 10 years. What did we have to talk about in the "Championships and Accomplishments" portion? Do Championships and Accomplishments always matter when we talk about what makes a team "Great"? This one brings up an interesting point on all that and all the wackiness that is this team. Listen!

No, this episode isn't rated. We're talking about JC Ice and Wolfie D, the tag team known as PG13. Possibly best known as the guys who rapped their way to the ring with the Nation of Domination early on, but they were so much more than that. In USWA during the mid 1990's, they were the kings of tag team wrestling in Memphis, TN. What previously covered tag team does Colin say they remind him of? Together and separately, known by many names. Harry Smith, TJ Wilson, DH Smith, Tyson Kidd, Davey Boy Smith Jr, The Stampede Bulldogs, whatever you know them as, this team started teaming when they were kids and rolled it into a couple of WWE tag team championships. Another team that burned bright for a relatively short period of time, Hayabusa and Jinsei Shinzaki were quite the unlikely duo. Davey Boy Smith and the Dynamite Kid are inarguably one of the greatest tag teams of all time, and some may say their solo successes are even more impressive. We get into their WWF success and their incredible run in Japan, but we also talk about the not so great reputation of the Dynamite Kid and what it meant for the team. And while there will never be another American Wolves, they paved the way for a style of team that's seen all across wrestling today. From Too Sexy and Too Hot, to one of the most over acts in Y2K, we talk about a team that were just as similar as they were COMPLETELY different.

Both smaller guys, both Texas Wrestling academy grads, the team seemed to work from the first time we saw them team together. We talk about their record setting title run, their seemingly endless potential and ability, and our experiences working with them. Lets go!

Trent Acid and Johnny Kashmere were the team known as the Backseat Boyz, and on the Indie scene in the early 2000's, there was no one hotter and no one cooler. They owned the North East Independent scene and their impact is still seen to this day. We talk Dream Sequence's, Cheech busted out the VCR, and Colin tells tales of working with them. I know we're in the backseat, but buckle up! Let's Go!

As singles wrestlers, Sasha Banks and Bayley helped usher in the Women's revolution in the WWE. As a tag team, they bring the Women's revolution in WWE to new heights. Teaming on and off since 2016, Sasha and Bayley already have a strong claim at being called the best women's tag team of all time. What prior Dreamwork tag teams did we compare Sasha and Bayley to? Also known as the Hardcore Chair Swingin Freaks, Balls Mahoney and Axl Rotten weren't the most successful team in ECW history, but they just might be the most "ECW team" in ECW history. While mostly remembered for their wild brawls and "chair swingin", Balls and Axl both were extremely talented wrestlers between the ropes as well. What advice did Axl Rotten give to Cheech about his teeth? What did Colin drink out of Balls Mahoney's fanny pack? Both of these things were somehow discussed! Let's go!

LAX has had many many members thru out their history, but none had quite the impact (no pun intended) of the OGz, Homicide and Hernandez. They were presented differently than anything that was going on at the time, and when the time came, they could more than back it up in the ring. How often does a team win "Best Gimmick" and "Tag Team of the Year" with a Match of the year candidate on their resume as well? That's what Homicide and Hernandez had in 2006. Which of their moves don't we want to take? What word did Cheech get tired of writing? Only one way to find out! 

"The King of Hearts" Owen Hart and "The British Bulldog" Davey Boy Smith. Both extremely accomplished singles wrestlers, both had success in other tag teams, Brothers in law, and in 1996, tag team partners. The tag team scene in WWF in 1996/1997 wasn't the strongest, but that doesn't take away from the greatness of Owen Hart and The British Bulldog together. Which famous tag team do they seem to follow the model of? Which member of this team is Colin not a fan of? Lets find out!

This one may be a little far out there for some more casual wrestling fans, but stay with us here. The Ups and Downs of World Class Championship wrestling have been well documented, and the Von Erichs or Freebirds would have been the obvious choice, but we went a different direction. In 1985, Chris Adams and Gino Hernandez had it all, the looks, the charisma, the athletic ability, and for a lot of their time together, the NWA American tag titles. Wrestling has had a ton of "super teams" through out history, but maybe none more memorable than the Rock and Sock Connection. Maybe that's because of the time period, and maybe that's because of the two men involved, but it definitely wasn't because of their longevity. For 4 long months in 1999, The Rock and Mankind achieved success that many teams don't achieve in a career. What teams did they work well with? Which one team didn't they work well with at all? Before there was the APA, before there was Farooq, even before the infamous world title win over Vader, there was Doom. A young fresh to the business Ron Simmons was paired with a seasoned veteran in Hacksaw Butch Reed, and I don't think there has ever been a more intimidating tag team in history. They didn't have the longest run as a tag team, but anyone who saw them, will forever remember Doom. How does this tag team tie into this years Super Bowl? We've discussed before, but 2002/2003 was a golden era for Smackdown, and when Charlie Haas and Shelton Benjamin came on the scene at the beginning of 2003, they rose right up to being not only the top tag team in WWE, but also the top tag team in all of wrestling. Jay and Mark Briscoe started wrestling in 2000, and by 2002, only 2 years into their careers, joined Ring of Honor and never looked back. In almost 20 years with the company, they have wrestled a "who's who" of professional wrestlers from the Rock and Roll Express to the Headbangers to Kazuchika Okada and Shinsuke Nakamura. Coming from a crazy time in independent wrestling, what made the Briscoes break out while so many faded away? What experiences did we have working with them? Let's go!

Luke and Butch are most commonly known as the Bushwhackers from their run in WWF in the late 80's and early 90's, but they have a long storied history all over the world as the Sheepherders. 2020 was a crazy year for basically every human on planet earth. With that being said, as professional wrestlers, this was definitely the least amount of matches we have ever had in single year. I'm not sure we could have followed up last weeks team with any team more different than the Holy Demon Army. No schtick, No funny business, straight forward ass kicking and 5 star matches. 2 of the 4 Pillars in Japan, Kawada and Taue started off as rivals, but came together go be one of the most successful teams in All Japan Pro Wrestling and all of Japanese wrestling history. Does Colin pronounce all of the names properly? Which Japanese wrestler does Cheech call "sexy"? Let's party!

After Stone Cold Steve Austin and The Rock, I don't think any 2 wrestlers defined the "Attitude Era" of the WWE more than Road Dogg and Billy Gunn. Possibly most known for a catch phrase, but The Outlaws found success fast and often in the late 90's and with good reason. Which member of the team did Colin think did more of the in ring work? Now that Cheech has the ability to "gif", which wrestling legend did Cheech make sure to gif for your twitter viewing pleasure? Let's find out!

When Cheech and I first started getting into Indie wrestling, it was the late 90's/early 2000's. Indie wrestling was changing in that era, it was getting faster, it was getting more exciting, and I don't think there was any team more exciting than The SAT's. Trained by the great Mikey Whipwreck, they were on the ground floor of promotions like Ring of Honor and NWA TNA (Now Impact Wrestling). What was the landscape of Indie wrestling like back then? What made the Maximo's stand out? Which Indie star of that era does Cheech tell to kick a box of rocks? All this and so much more!

On this show, we've covered teams of Brothers, I can think of a decent amount of tag teams that were Cousins, but an Uncle and his Nephew? I can only think of one team like that. Only 3 years apart, Uncle Eddie and his Nephew Chavo both had long careers and a lot to remember them by, but I'm not sure any of it was as fun as Los Guerreros. What did we think of Chavo's role on the team? Who were the "Smackdown 6"? Buckle up! Let's hop in our low riders and find out!

Whatcha gonna do brother... when Dreamwork talks about two of the biggest superstars in wrestling history?? They didn't have a ton of matches together, but does that really matter? It's Hulk freakin Hogan and The Motherfriggin Macho Man Randy Savage!! Audio gets a little jumbled at the end, and I'm no audio engineer, but I did my best to make it work. :) Have fun!

We're not talking about Tony Mamaluke or JT Smith, No mention of Chuck Palumbo or Big Vito, We are talking about Little Guido and Tracy Smothers. On paper, this team doesn't make any sense, One a scrappy shooter from New York City, the other a classic southern territory wrestler who's been everywhere. But when you really start thinking about it, and take a good look at them, they paired perfectly together and had a lot more in common that it looked from the outside. What did we think about Wildfire Tommy Rich? What's the worst part about watching these matches on the WWE network? I think everyone already knows, but listen anyways!

Coming out of left field, Cheech with this weeks team choice. They were Filthy Animals, but they were so much more, Rey Mysterio Jr and Billy Kidman. Starting with Rey in a mask and Kidman in a beater and jorts, ending with Rey in a mask with Kidman in tights, we talk about all of it and everything in between. What long time WCW enhancement team to we get stuck on for WAY too long? Which theme song do you think is the best? Lets talk about it!

The Wyatt Family, The Bludgeon Brothers, whatever you know them as, the team of Erik Rowan and Luke Harper seemed to have it all. Size? Check. Speed? Check. Cool Gimmick? Check and check! We try to get past our "Brodie bias" but admittedly, it comes out a time or two. Where did they rank among the other tag teams of their time? Which gimmick did we prefer? All this and so much more! Hello Dreamworkers! I'm sorry for the week off, I explain more in the intro, but let's get down to this weeks team. Gedo is possibly better known now as the man behind booking one of the biggest wrestling promotions in the world, New Japan Pro Wrestling. Since 1989 though, he and Jado have been working for just about every promotion in Japan (and elsewhere) as an incredibly proficient tag team. What tag teams did Gedo and Jado look up to and take from? It makes a lot of sense when you hear it. Listen to what we learn from this incredible team! Enjoy!

If you're a podcast about tag team wrestling, and you don't talk about the Rock and Roll Express, are you even a podcast about tag team wrestling?? I'm surprised it took us this long to get here, but we couldn't just hit you with all the heavy hitters right out of the gate. We were discussing "young, athletic, baby face" tag teams, and the Rock and Roll Express are definitely that, but they also may just be the best tag team of all time. Which member of the team did we decide was best? How many times will Colin say "Wham-a-lama Bam-a-lama"? Let's party!

We stumbled upon a theme month without even meaning too. We started with the Young Bucks, we moved on to the Hardy Boyz, and now we've landed on Shawn Michaels and Marty Jannetty, The Rockers. We get into their early work, some of our favorite opponents for them, and decide we need to build a time machine so we can keep them together for a new look Rockers we wish we got back in 1992. Who would have thought that a couple brothers from Cameron, North Carolina, would become one of the most well known teams in wresting history. Matt and Jeff Hardy have wrestled just about every tag team on the planet over the last 20+ years and not just wrestled them, but did it at a very high level. Yet, after doing the research, Colin believes them to be Underrated. How is this possible? Take a listen!

I don't want to spoil any of the podcast in the description here, but the "accomplishments" portion of this weeks podcast is long. But included in those accomplishments, is the fact that the Young Bucks are the Wrestling Observer tag team of the DECADE. A wild stat in itself, but what's wilder, is how they did it. From Dragon Gate, to Ring Of Honor, to Impact, to New Japan, to AEW, working a crazy impressive schedule for years brought the Young Bucks to where they are today. The ECW tag team scene wasn't exactly booming in 1999/2000, but the pairing of two top stars were there to save the day. From looking at them, you would think that Lance Storm and Justin Credible would have anything in common, but a little dungeon training and a love for wrestling brought them together. Doesn't matter what you know them as, Bobby Fish and Kyle O'Reilly have dominated everywhere they have teamed. We discuss our history with Bobby Fish, our admiration for Kyle O'Reilly, and dig deep into their tag team style. Way back in the early days of Impact wrestling, when it was referred to as NWA TNA and had a Pay Per View every week, Chris Harris and James Storm rode onto the scene and were exactly what NWA needed. They were hungry, talented, and relatively unknown. Where did they come from? Where did they go? Would they have worked as a team elsewhere? Find out as we talk it out!

The last year of WCW was a weird time. Still, with all the bad that they were putting out, their school (the WCW Power Plant) was actually producing some incredible talent. Mark Jindrak and Sean O'Haire were the definition of this. Only 6 months of training under their belts, and it took the pair no time to make an impact.
