EP36 - RUM Co. of Fiji
The legend, the man himself, Kieran is back! He has made it back to Australia after his month long holiday to the USA and didn't get stopped by customs at either end. Sharing stories of Tarot Reading in Salem, walking the freedom trail in Boston and how he managed to get within 150m of President Jo Biden are all exciting topics in this episode. Along with how he managed to get close enough and to actually high five former President Bill Clinton. Oh and if you like games, then we just casually talk about those in this episode too...well we get in depth about stories...
This episodes drinks come all the way from Fiji; and yes they were actually purchased in Fiji by Kieran on his way back to Australia; and are from RUM Co. of Fiji . Head over to their website to check out the cool video which explains their story on how they use traditional methods for making their rum since 1980.
In the episode you will hear our new rating system which is based on three items each out of 5 stars; Label, Taste & Value for money.
This episodes drinks are (all with just a bit of ice, no premix added):
Remember, we ask that when you enjoy your drinks that you drink responsibly and only of legal age in your country.
EP35 - Covfefe Ft. Balter Brewing Part 2
Returning once again is Balter Brewing with some more of their fantastic range. Also returning once again is Mr Blake King as stand in Co-Host whilst Kieran is on holiday. Whilst we bring forth discussions around the remaining drinks from Balter Brewing; which include the 'Easy Hazy' & 'Hazy' beers we also talks books once again. Blake is always kind enough to talk us through some interesting reads; and once again bought another book after we asked him to bring a book that 'Fondles' the taste buds; we thought it best Jason provide some more interesting reads once again too.
These books are:
- The Virgin Way by Richard Branson
- From Russia With Love by Ian Fleming
- The Barefoot Investor by Scott Pape
The Drinks:
- Hazy
In this episode we talk about what is would sound like with Robot's running the podcast, would the beers be a good date beer and Jason gives the story about the time he nearly choked to death on headphones.
There is also a mystery third drink....
EP34 - Shakesbeer Ft. Balter Brewing
Blake King is back on the podcast but this time as a Co-Host. Kieran is away on holiday in America for a while and we asked Blake to step in to his shoes. Although as a Co-Host this episode we asked Blake to bring along a book; to which he kindly obliged with 'Richard II'. Also wanting to not make Blake seem like a guest this time, Jason presented some books he has listened to with Audible which include Superlife by Darin Olien and The Suitable Art Of Not Giving A Fuck by Mark Manson. Books: Richard II by Shakespear Superlife by Darren Olien The Suitable Art Of Not Giving A Fuck by Mark Manson The drinks this episode are from Balter Brewing in Queensland Australia. Balter Brewing was started by 8 friends only a few years ago and continues to go from strength to strength winning numerous awards. The explanations they provide for their drinks and just their business in general was so good; I genuinely believe they have found their why; that we have put a section from their website below: "The cool thing is this enjoyment can be found anywhere. You could be winning World Tinnie Hurling (a sport we invented: ) Titles, or simply feeling triumphant because you’ve navigated the mind bend of putting an IKEA shelf together. Its purest origins can be found at the end of a good day’s work when you sit back, sip on an epic beer and go… aaaah! At Balter, we’re all about celebrating that enjoyment with you, because beer is more than just a drink: it draws tribes together and is a companion to many great moments in life" - source - https://www.balter.com.au/about In this episode we tried 3 beers which were the Captain Sensible, XPA & IPA. All of which can be found here - https://www.balter.com.au/beers We also talk about how we get our taste buds tickled, completely butcher the plot of Star Wars all to annoy Kieran whilst he's on holiday and melted KitKats.
EP33 - Sungazer Fruity Beer
Back on the beer once again, and ready for summer with some Fruity Beers from Sungazer. This beer appears to be relatively new and is a new take on beer being fruity. The range consists of only 3 flavours (Mango, Watermelon & Raspberry), all at 4.2% and 1 standard drink.
In this episode we also discuss how Jason has just turned 30 and a cool Stein he got for his birthday, how much Kieran hates Watermelon & just to top it off; what sex in a canoe must be like.
EP32 - Art & Mead
We do all things Art and Mead in this episode with @wrenwithapen. Kirsten walks us through painting still life art with an Apple and Strawberries on canvas pad. We learn about how to start our painting by first sketching out our painting all the way up to tones and colour shading.
Thistle Meadery is our drink of choice this episode as we try Chilli, Viking Blood & Apricot and Chocolate Mead. We had never tried Mead until this episode and it certainly joined in our art adventure.
Listen in for the Art & Mead saga!

EP27 - Smiling Samoyed Brewery Part 1
Look, we have been away for a bit whilst we get new equipment. We completely forgot we had recorded and edited this...and forgot to upload it. Enjoy Part 1 of Smiling Samoyed Brewery!
Smiling Samoyed Brewery is a family owned brewery located in Myponga South Australia. They showcase a number of beers including '12 paws' pale ale and an Asutralian Kolsch. Onsite at the brewery is an amazing Samoyed who clearly takes the eyes of all visitors. A quote directly from their website states "The brewery is named after Simon and Kate’s Samoyed dogs who have become much-loved mascots at the brewery. The original ’12 Paws’ of the brewery were Mia, Cooper and Poppet. Our current Ambassa-dogs are Hoppy and Kent. Hoppy came through the RSPCA SA in 2014 as a 6 month old puppy and has proudly served as the Ambassador for the RSPCA Million Paws Walk as well as being awarded Brewery Dog of the Year in 2018. Kent joined the family from Nordicharm Samoyeds in 2019"
In this episode, Kieran opens all the drinks using his belt and Jason relives a horrifically embarrassing story involving father in law whilst discussing how he is going to spend his 30th. Kieran also hints at being on another podcast.

Lobethal Bierhaus surprised us with some darker beers on this episode and with some flavours we were not expecting.

Monin is a French based company who focus on making Syrups, Tea Syrups, Fruit mixers and Gourmet Sauces just to name a few. They also have over 8 million drinks served daily worldwide with their Syrups, crazy huh?!
In this episode we try 6 of the Monin Syrup mixers, Jason brings a massive map he found in the house and yet another Hat; which is somewhat out of date; Jason also shares how is wife is allergic to Pineapple and you also keep hearing an annoying plane in the back ground that kept flying over whilst we recorded, but can you tell us how many times it flew by?
