I fully believe Donnie has what it takes to turn Buffalo's program around and lead them in the right direction!!

Coach Griswold joins the podcast for the first time in 3 years. Back in March of 2021, the Soaring Eagles were a new program that hadn't competed yet. Griswold has since led them to 3 successful seasons growing a culture and competitive atmosphere at Elmira College. We talk about the growth of Elmira's Women's program as well as the growth of Women's Wrestling at the HS and College level.

PJ Duke.
PJ is a great ambassador for wrestlers across the nation but especially in New York. Hours before recording the podcast PJ and Elijah Diakomihalis ran a clinic in the Albany area. The high school junior is committed to wrestle for Penn State.

Head Coach Grant Leeth and BREAKING NEWS --> Associate Head Coach Jimmy Overhiser join the podcast to further discuss Tarleton State Wrestling and the full scope of the situation.
The NCWA and The Texas Collegiate Wrestling Foundation (TCWF) are thrilled to welcome Coach Grant Leeth as the new leader for Tarleton State University's NCWA Intercollegiate wrestling program. The establishment of this new team, chartered just last month, marks a significant development in Tarleton State's skyrocketing academic and athletic growth. The team is set to compete as a proud member of the NCWA, while the TCWF passionately pursues its goal of raising the required $2,000,000. This ambitious fundraising initiative aims to explore the future possibility of a potential wrestling team to Tarleton State's existing NCAA athletic offerings.

Episode 90?! Its been 4 years since bringing Coach Justin Signorelli on for an episode to talk about the Ox Gang down at Alfred State. Along with Coach Signorelli coming on, I also brought on Zach Levey. Levey, who is a transfer student and now one of the leaders heading into his first full season at Alfred State.

#87 Zoe Griffith and Emily Sindoni
A much overdue episode with Emily Sindoni and Zoe Griffith, two of NY's top girl wrestlers.
Sindoni and Griffith just competed at Fargo where Griffith was a 16u Womens Freestyle National Champ at 138lbs and Emily Sindoni was a runner up in JR Womens Freestyle at 127lbs.
Sindoni is a recent graduate of Tioga and Griffith just finished her sophomore year at Gouverneur.
Sindoni ends her high school career a 2x NHSCA National Champ, 2x Fargo Runner Up and a NYS Girls State Champ.
Griffith adds to her resume with a Fargo National Title and a NHSCA runner up this spring.
Sindoni is attending D'Youville to compete for the Saints in the fall.

#86 Joe Uccellini - Curby Training Center
A long overdue episode with Coach Joe Uccellini of the Curby Training Center. We are two weeks away from Fargo and Joe is between training camps at the Curby Training Center in Troy NY preparing Team NY.

#85 Coach Vutianitis - Presbyterian Women's Wrestling Coach
NY native Brian Vutianitis has an interesting story from starting wrestling in 8th grade to now the head coach for the D1 Presbyterian Women's Wrestling Program. Brian started his journey at Warwick Valley under coach John Canty. He then wrestled in college at SUNY Cortland under Brad Bruhn and Ryan LeBlanc before getting into coaching at his own club, Vision Wrestling Club then Coker College before landing as an assistant at Presbyterian for the Men's and Women's Programs.

Two days after stepping on the podium at the D1 NCAA Wrestling Championships, Anthony Noto jumps on MorWrestling for a rundown. Anthony was a 4x NYS Champ for Honeoye Falls Lima in Section 5. Noto began his college career at NC State before transferring to Lock Haven where he has won 2 MAC Conference Titles and recently took 4th at the NCAA's as just a sophomore.

Chris Adams jumps on MorWrestling for the first time since episode 61 when we were on the road back from Fargo with a recap. Chris talks about the upcoming NY-USA Wrestling Folkstyle State Championships in Utica as well as the importance of getting into Freestyle and Greco from an early age. Chris is the 14u National team coach and the co director for the NY-USAW Youth division.

#73 Adam Greene - Utica University Men's Head Wrestling Coach
Adam Greene comes to Utica with roots in NY both at the high school and college levels. in high school, Adam was a 4x NYS qualifier and a NYS place finisher for Chenango Valley in Section 4. In college, Greene wrestled for Oneonta State where he later started his coaching career as an assistant for coach Duane Ritter. Adam also started the NAIA program at Sienna Heights and spent time coaching at Brandon HS in Florida.

#71 Carlene Sluberski - D'Youville University Women's Wrestling Head Coach
Carlene Sluberski joins the podcast to talk about her path through women's wrestling. Carlene is the first female to place at the NYS Wrestling Championships placing 2nd in 2009. She went on to win a Junior National title in Fargo before her competitive career at Northern Michigan and Brock University. Carlene also made 2 national teams for USA wrestling. Her coaching career has brought her to the University of Cumberlands to University of Providence to Eastern Oregon and now she made her way back to NY where she has been named the head wrestling coach for the new program, D'Youville Womens Wrestling Saints. D'Youville is one of 5 NY colleges that have added Womens Wrestling and with the growth of the sport at the high school level, I can't wait for the success of women's wrestling to rise!

#70 Sam Recco - SUNY Brockport Wrestling Head Coach
The newest head coach for the Brockport State Golden Eagles, Sam Recco!! Recco takes the reins from the legendary coaches of Don Murray and Bill Jacatout. Sam who is a 2012 NYS Champ for Section 5's Lydonville HS comes back to Rochester area after spending his collegiate career at Edinboro and coaching at General McLane HS, Lincoln College and Edinboro. Having a NY and Section 5 native at the helm is just what SUNY Brockport needs!! We are just under a month until the Golden Eagles take the mat!!

#69 Jon Loew - Cornell Wrestling
Jon Loew is a 2022 NCAA All-American for the Cornell Big Red. In high school Jon wrestled in Nassau County at Wantagh where he was a NYS Champion. Jon was a 2020 NCAA qualifier who had to miss out on the NCAA Tournament for Covid and as an IVY leaguer he had to sit out for the 2020-21 NCAA season. Jon is one of 3 returning NCAA All-Americans for the Big Red this year.

#68 Jason Bryant - International Podcast Day
Who better to bring on for International Podcast Day than Jason Bryant! Jason Bryant is a hall of fame sportswriter, broadcaster and announcer. He's announced 6 World Championships, 2 Olympic Games and over 30 NCAA Championships. Jason founded the Mat Talk Online network which you can find his Fargo Almanac and NCAA Preview guides. He is a big reason I got into podcasting, he's a mentor and a friend.

#67 David Fontaine - Utica University Athletic Director
Just 24 hours after announcing the additions of Men's and Women's Wrestling programs at Utica University, David Fontaine comes on for an episode to further discuss the decision. Utica adding both programs will make 332 Men's and Women's Wrestling Teams added since 2000 and 12 in NY since 2013. With NYSPHSAA announcing the emerging sports status for girls wrestling at the high school level this is exciting to help build the sport at both levels. Mr. Fontaine further talks the decision in adding both programs and what Utica has to offer.

#66 Kevin Ward - Army West Point Wrestling Head Coach
Kevin Ward is entering his 9th season at the helm of Army West Point Wrestling. During his time at West Point, Ward and the Black Knights snapped a 17 win-less drought against rivals, Navy. Ward welcomed Scott Green to staff last season and recently added assistants Taylor Venz and Ian Parker. The Black Knights have quite the schedule lined up, with B1G dual as they host the Iowa Hawkeyes in November.

#65 John Stutzman - University at Buffalo Wrestling Head Coach
John Stutzman is going into his 10th year as the head coach of University at Buffalo. Before taking the helm at his alma mater, Stuzman spent 11 years at Bloomsburg, 8 as a head coach. During his time at Bloomsburg, Stutzman had 3 NCAA All-Americans and led his huskies to a top 15 ranked team in the country. While at Buffalo, Stutzman has brought the Bulls to new levels. Last year the Bulls went 12-6 and 7-2 in MAC duals finishing 4th at the MAC tournament.

#64 Catching up on NY Wrestling w/ Kyle Windover
I've realized it's been far too long since I've posted an update/recap kind of episode after the past 7 episodes have been interviews. After listening to the Bloodround Wrestling Podcast I knew I needed to do an episode right away, plug in Kyle Windover. Kyle is an assistant coach at Chatfield High and an assistant club coach in Colorado, but his roots are in Lowville NY where he wrestled over 10 years ago. I enjoyed bringing on someone new to talk wrestling from a different perspective.

#63 Connor Lapresi - Ferrum Women's Wrestling
Connor Lapresi is about to begin his first season as the head coach of Ferrum Women's Wrestling. Connor is one of the most energetic individuals I know in the sport of wrestling. He tells his journey of moving to Lansing NY to further his development in the sport of wrestling and as well as the connections he's made. Lapresi who is a NY state champ and a Cornell wrestling alum has a very positive outlook on the sport of wrestling serving on team VA's staff for Cadet Freestyle/Greco Duals and was on staff for Team NY in Fargo. Like our conversation in Fargo, we could have talked for hours.

#62 Ryne Morrison - St John Fisher Wrestling
Ryne Morrison is the new head coach of St John Fisher Wrestling. A program that hasn't been around in 38 years. The return of the wrestling program is boosted by a $400,000 gift from alumnus and trustee William J. Pellicano ’80 and Tracy Pellicano to create a state-of-the-art wrestling room. Known as the Joseph Pellicano Wrestling Pavillion.
