Best-Ball Drafts with Fantasy Football guru Kyle Senra
In this episode, FF guru Kyle Senra and I breakdown how to run a best-ball draft.

Buffalo Bills Fan Jeff Bell joins Big D to talk Bills!
In this episode, Buffalo Bills fan Jeff Bell and I debate the Bills heading into the 2021 NFL season.
First, we look back at Jeff's life watching his Bills. He became a fan of the Bills by watching their uniforms. For four straight years, the Bills made the Super Bowl, but lost to the Giants, Redskins, and Cowboys. We both react to how the Bills always faced NFC East teams in the Super Bowl.
Then, we talk about Buffalo's lean years without much success. In 1999, the Bills were in position to win a playoff game before the Tennessee Titans pulled off the 'Music City Miracle' in one of the NFL's most memorable plays. To this day, Jeff still believes Titans tight end Frank Wycheck threw an illegal forward pass instead of a lateral, which would have negated the touchdown. This game would be Buffalo's last playoff appearance until the 2017 season.
Then, we react to the Bills unlucky streak with quarterbacks. In 2002, the Bills acquired Drew Bledsoe, who lasted three years with the Bills. In 2004, the Bills drafted J.P. Losman to replace Bledsoe. Jeff remembers when the Bills tried to get Ben Roethlisberger in the 2004 NFL Draft. The Steelers drafted Big Ben with the 11th pick in the 2004 draft. The Bills ended up getting Losman with the 22nd pick, but it involved giving up a first-rounder in 2005. The next year, the Bills did not have a first-round pick. Cal's Aaron Rodgers would have been available with Buffalo's picks. Instead of taking a future star, Buffalo saw another passer fly away from Western NY.
After a quarterback circus, the Bills finally drafted their leader in Wyoming's Josh Allen in 2018. After a few struggles, Allen developed into the perfect quarterback for the Bills and Buffalo's cold, windy climate. Together with Stefon Diggs, the Bills won their first playoff game in a quarter-century before eventually losing to the Chiefs. With high expectations, we look at Buffalo's schedule and the Bills chances at making their first Super Bowl in 28 years.
We end this episode by remembering the 1996 AFC Wild Card Game between Jeff's Bills and my Jags. There, Jacksonville won its playoff debut 30-27, which also marked the end of Jim Kelly as Buffalo's quarterback.

Hurricane Charley - 17 Years later with Scott Keeler
On August 13, 2004, Hurricane Charley became the first major hurricane to strike Southwest Florida since Donna in 1960. Charley struck Captiva, Punta Gorda, and Arcadia as a Cat. four hurricane with winds between 140-150 mph.
Originally, Scott was assigned to Fort Myers. He and his reporter were moved to Punta Gorda, where they stayed at the Holiday Inn on Charlotte Harbor. Both of them thought they were clean up the southern end of Charley. After having breakfast at IHOP, the reporters returned to the Holiday Inn, but a police officer told them Charley was moving south of Tampa and to Southwest Florida.
Coming into Friday, many forecasters predicted Charley to make landfall around Tampa. After considering multiple options, the reporters and police officers rode out Charley at the Charlotte County airport.
Scott then comments the reporters were the last people to stay at the Holiday Inn before Charley destroyed it. He also says that nobody told him Charley wobbled south towards Punta Gorda. While airplanes and other debris came towards the airport, Scott thought he was going to die in Charley. He also remembers his ears popping due to the enormous air pressure change.
After Charley left the airport, the news reporter accidentally stepped into fire ants. Luckily, Scott's car and hurricane hit were still there despite several broken windows. This story reminds me of being allergic to fire ants. In Punta Gorda, Scott remembers not seeing any Toyota's without damage at the dealership.
Then, the conversation shifts to how to prepare for a hurricane. Scott stresses having a hurricane kit and knowing your evacuation route.
We conclude with answering whether Tampa is ready for a major hurricane if one heads to the Tampa/St.Pete area this season. We both agree a landfall could be the costliest hurricane on record.

America's race-walking couple talks about their Olympic experience with Big D
In this episode, America's race-walking couple, Nick Christie, Robyn Stevens, and I talk about Nick and Robyn's experience at the Summer Olympics in Sapporo, Japan. Unlike most of the other Olympians, the marathons and race-walking events took place in Sapporo to try and avoid Tokyo's heat and humidity.
Robyn and Nick both competed in the 20km race walk in Sapporo. Robyn finished 33rd while Nick finished 50th! During the race, the US staff actually felt bad for the Ukraine staff members, who were unable to provide their walker's aid bottles.
The conversation officially starts by talking about how both of them prepared for Sapporo's heat. Nick and Robyn trained in Sacramento, which offered very hot weather. Nick's race was 24 hours before Robyn, and it showed most top walkers were around four minutes off their personal bests.
Robyn went very conservative to finish the race. Robyn actually says that Sapporo was cooler than Sacramento, but the humidity was the major trick. Race-walkers get two-minute penalties for a third red card. Brazil's Erica Rocha De Dena lost her chance at medal by picking up her third red card and getting a two-minute penalty. She eventually finished 11th after serving a two-minute penalty late in the race.
We also talked at multiple breakthroughs due to handling the heat at the Olympics. Poland's Katarzyna Zdzieblo finished 10th despite not being on anyone's radar before the race. Poland's Dawid Tomala won the 50km race walk. Nick noticed his incredible focus and cooling satchel he wore during the race.
Robyn racked up multiple red cards early in her walk; one came when she tripped while approaching the aid system. Robyn did not even know she picked up two red cards. Robyn thought she could pass more walkers, but the risk of her third red card was not worth a faster time.
We also explain how Italy's walkers handled Sapporo's heat better than anyone. Massimo Stano won the men's 20km walk while Antonella Palmisano won the women's race on her birthday. Both walkers looked like they were unaffected by the heat.
Nick commented how Japan's race-walkers were under so much pressure to make and succeed at their home Olympics. Japan's walkers were among the favorites and usually perform better on home soil. Yusuke Suzuki, the 2019 50km World Champ from Doha, did not compete in Sapporo.
We debate the future of race-walking events at future big meets including the 2024 Paris Olympics. We conclude by talking about Robyn's famous wig collection.

A Miami Dolphins Preseason Chat with Alex Bleuel
In this episode, Dolphins fan Alex Bleuel and I look at the Miami Dolphins heading into their preseason debut against the Chicago Bears on Saturday.
First, we look at whether former Alabama star Tua Tagovailoa will show improvement or an inability to be a franchise quarterback. Alex believes Tua will be better with a full off-season, training camp to command the offense. We also believe Tua should play in the preseason with just three preseason games in 2021.
We also look at Miami restructuring star cornerback Xavien Howard's contract. We both like Miami keeping its defensive star happy and motivated.
Next, we look at Miami's two first-rounds picks, Jaylen Waddle and Jaelan Phillips, and what both rookies could bring to Miami. Despite injury concerns in college, both of us are excited to see these rookies see the field. Alex also makes a bold guarantee over how well veteran receiver Albert Wilson will play this year.
We conclude by looking at two of Miami's recent Opening-Day wins against the Chargers in 2017 and Titans in 2018. Ironically, both games were affected by weather.

A Premier League Preview With Tom Jacobs
In this episode, English golf/football guru and I preview the 2021-22 Premier League season, which begins Friday in England.
First, we look at Lionel Messi leaving Barcelona for Paris Saint-Germain. We look at why Barca lost one of football's best players. We look at how Barca's wages and bad transfers were key reasons Messi left. After seeing Messi play his club football for Barca, this year will be odd seeing him in Paris.
We then switch back to England and looking at the top Premier League sides. Man City, which won last season, added Aston Villa star Jack Grealish this week. Despite Villa losing a hometown hero, Tom responds how well Villa has prepared for Grealish's departure.
From one Manchester club to the other, we look at Manchester United's transfer business, which included Jadon Sancho and Raphael Varane. We both like these moves, but agree United may need another midfielder.
We head from Manchester to Liverpool and whether the Reds will be back contending for the PL title. While Liverpool added, Ibrahima Konate, Liverpool may need more attacking options.
To London, we look at Chelsea's transfer business. The Blues are close to securing Inter Milan striker and former Chelsea star Romelu Lukaku in a monster transfer deal. Lukaku's goals should add more attacking threat to the reigning Champions League strong defense. As a Chelsea fan, I am hoping Chelsea add Jules Kounde by the end of the transfer window.
We also look at whether Spurs striker Harry Kane will remain in London or head to Manchester City in another monster transfer.
We also look at the three promoted PL sides. Brentford will be back in England's top flight in 74 years when they face Arsenal on Friday. Watford and Norwich City will be looking to remain in the PL.
Finally, we conclude with predicting which clubs will finish in the top-four, and who will potentially face relegation. Both of us like City, Chelsea, Liverpool, and Man United at the top of the PL.

Chris Moshinskie Talks Jets With Big D
In this episode, Chris Moshinskie and I talk everything New York Jets! First, we talk about how it has felt to be a Jets fan over the years. Chris remembers several mistakes the Jets made. I remember Dan Marino's fake spike against the Jets, and NY famously passing up Warren Sapp for Kyle Brady during the 1995 NFL Draft.
In 2009, Mark Sanchez and Rex Ryan combined for back-to-back AFC Championship appearances. Sanchez led the Jets to consecutive playoff wins over Peyton Manning and Tom Brady. After those wins, Ryan and Sanchez struggled to reach big expectations in NY.
From 2018-20, Sam Darnold was the Jets starting quarterback. While not getting to work with many offensive skill positions, Darnold showed some abilities. NY traded him to the Carolina Panthers. We both agree Adam Gase was the major reason why Darnold regressed. While Chris is not believing in Darnold, I believe Darnold will be a top-10 passer in Carolina.
We then switch from the past to today's Jets. With rookie head coach Robert Saleh and former BYU quarterback Zach Wilson leading the Jets, we look at how well Wilson will do in his rookie campaign. We both like Wilson's talent, but there are questions over his injury history.
Unlike many recent seasons, the Jets are deep with several quality receivers. With Corey Davis, Jamison Crowder, Denzel Mims, Braxton Berrios, and rookie Elijah Moore, the Jets should provide Wilson with quality receivers.
Finally, we conclude with reliving a famous Jets playoff win over a newly-minted NFL Hall of Famer. In addition, we quickly preview how the Jets stack up in the AFC East. With three defensive coaches in Miami, New England, and Buffalo, we both believe the Jets will struggle. A five- to six-win season would be a successful one with a rookie coach and quarterback.

UFC 265 Preview with DailyFanMMA.con's Brett Appley
In this episode, the Daily FanMMA.com's Brett Appley and I breakdown UFC 265 this Saturday night in Houston.
First, we talk about one fight that will not take place between UFC Bantamweight and Featherweight champion Amanda Nunes and Julianna Pena. Nunes tested positive for COVID-19. We both agree Nunes would have won. the question would have been how Nunes won this fight. Nunes could have been a -1000 favorite.
Onto UFC, and the main event is a UFC Interim Heavyweight Title bout between Ciryl Gane and Derrick Lewis. Game is 9-0 while Lewis is 25-7 in his MMA career. Lewis is also tied for most UFC knockouts with 12. While Lewis is known for his power and will be fighting at home in Houston, Gane comes into this fight as the undefeated, more versatile fighter. We agree Gane should win this bout.
We switch to the co-main event between veteran bantamweights Jose Aldo and Pedro Munhoz. Aldo has fought 36 times and is still a great striker. His stamina and durability waiver late in fights. Munhoz brings tons of energy and submission potential. Munhoz takes more damage than other top fighters. We talk about how leg-kicks will impact who wins this fight.
Brett is also excited to see a welterweight showdown between Vicente Luque and Michael Chiesa.
We switch our focus to our favorite DraftKings plays. Brett talks about his favorite DFS plays and fades for UFC 265. We both agree the opening fight between Johnny Munoz Jr. and Jamey Simmons could be in the winning lineup without attracting much attention. Brett is also not a fan of spending $8,700 for Tecia Torres.
We conclude with a little #TriviaTuesday of past UFC events in Houston; One involved Matt Serra shocking George St.Pierre in an April 2007 bout.

DFS/Week 1 NFL DK Chat
In this episode, Daily Fantasy players Charles Sears, Gerson Augirre, and I breakdown DFS and Week 1 of the NFL DraftKings slate.
First, we talk about our early DFS experiences. We agree that the projections are huge to DFS success. We also discuss the easiest and hardest sports to play DFS.
The conversation switches to GPP and cash-game tournaments. we explain the difference in roster construction between both contests. For GPPs, most users like using values while cash-game players want safe floors. Gerson says that defenses are the most overrated position in DFS lineups.
We switch to the opening week of NFL games on DraftKings. We immediately notice the expensive prices of the Kansas City Chiefs trio of Patrick Mahomes, Tyreek Hill, and Travis Kelce. Using all three guys will leave players without much money to create a balanced lineup.
We end this episode by talking about our favorite chalk players, values, and avoids for the opening week on DK.

Big D's MLB Trade Deadline Recap
In this solo episode, Big D recaps a wild MLB Trade Deadline, which saw stars, prospects, and baseball's best general managers alter their team.
First, I explain the Max Scherzer-Trea Turner blockbuster deal to the LA Dodgers. I explain how this move makes LA the prohibited favorite to repeat as World Series champions.
Secondly, I breakdown the Chicago Cubs and Washington Nationals trading several key pieces just a few years after winning a World Series. I explain why the Cubs and Nats needed to sell.
I conclude this episode by breaking down every division on what each team did before today's trade deadline.

Mikala McGhee talks basketball, Her time at FGCU, and St.Louis basketball.
In this episode, FOX2now sports anchor and news reporter Mikala McGhee and FGCU alum McGhee and I talk her basketball like starting in St. Louis to Missouri State, George Mason, and FGCU, and more.
First, we talk about Mikala's earlier years. Like many young athletes, Mikala played different sports as a kid. Sports has always been a part of her entire life. Mikala tried gymnastics, swimming, dancing in addition to basketball. Trying different sports helped Mikala reach her athletic peak. She was also happy to play with a consecutive group of girls in the St. Louis area.
Then, we switch to Mikala's college career, where she played for Missouri State, George Mason, and FGCU. While at FGCU, McGhee was with the 2017 Eagles that made the NCAA tournament before losing to Miami. I was in Coral Gables to see that game in person. Mikala remembers how impactful and enjoying FGCU head coach Karl Smesko, the assistant coaches, and teammates were that year. She also recommends that anyone who is thinking about FGCU should pick the eagles.
After college, Mikala still plays on occasion for the St. Louis Surge in the GWBA. We also talk about two great NBA basketball players from St. Louis. Washington Wizards guard Bradley Beal and Boston Celtics forward Jayson Tatum have put St. Louis on the basketball map.
Today. She told me about seeing the Kansas City Wizards MLS team play a match. She is very excited to see St. Louis add an MLS team - St. Louis City SC in 2023. Mikala also got to cover the USA Gymnastics Trials, which took place in St. Louis. There, she got to see Simone Biles compete in action.

LetsRun.com's Jonathan Gault talks Running/Tokyo Olympics with Big D
In this episode, LetsRun.com's Jonathan Gault and I preview the running events at the Tokyo Olympics.
First, we talk about several athletes who are not taking part at the Olympics. Among them, US 100-meter champ Sha'Carri Richardson, Reigning World Champs Christian Coleman, and Salwa Eid Naser. We explain how their absences will affect each race.
Afterwards, we start with the sprints. First, we look at the 100-meter races. Without Richardson, we both believe this race will likely be decided between Jamaica's Shelly-Ann Fraser-Price, Elaine Thompson-Herah, and Great Britain's Dina Asher-Smith. For the men's race, US champ Trayvon Bromell looks like the favorite, but he will face a talented field looking to win gold.
In the deepest field of any running event, many of the top 100-meter contenders will double in the 200 meters. America's Gabby Thomas' 21.61 makes her a strong contender in this race. Shaunae Miller-Uibo's inclusion in this race could add even more depth to an incredible field. US Champ Noah Lyles leads a strong contention of medal favorites in men's 200-meter race.
We double the distance and excitement in the 400 meters, where Allison Felix will be looking to end her Olympic career with another goal. Felix will face US Champ Quanera Hayes, Jamaica's Stephenie Ann McPherson, and potentially, Miller-Uibo if she picks this race in Tokyo. Meanwhile, reining world champ Steven Gardiner will face US Champ Michael Norman, defending Olympic champ Wayne van Niekerk, and Colombia's Anthony Zambrano.
Switching to the hurdles, Jasmine Camacho-Quinn may enter the women's 100-meter hurdles as the favorite, but world-record holder and US champ Kenny Harrison will make it a tough race. To the men's 100-meter hurdles, where reigning world champ Grant Holloway enters Tokyo as one of the biggest favorites.
Increasing to the 400-meter hurdles will be two of the Olympics most anticipated races. First, US champ and new world-record holder Sydney McLaughlin will face reigning Olympic and world champ Dalilah Muhammad. In a showdown for the ages, Norway's Karsten Warholm will face Rai Benjamin in the first of potentially three Olympic meetings between these young stars.
Doubling to the 800 meters brings one of running's rising stars. US teenage sensation Athing Mu will have the chance to show her skiils at her first Olympics. In the men's race, Nigel Amos leads a pack of contenders hungry for Olympic gold.
In the 1,500 meters, we both agree that this race is better with reigning world champ Timothy Cheruiyot. Originally, Cheriuyot failed to make the Kenyan Olympic team, but later races helped him officially make Kenyan squad.
We also look into the possibility of Dutch star Sifan Hassan's attempt at a historic triple of running the 1500 meters, 5K, and 10K in Tokyo. We also look into whether American steeplechase star Emma Coburn could win gold in Tokyo.

My Olympic Football Preview
In this episode, soccer fan Alex Bleuel and I preview the women's Olympic football tournament, which starts tomorrow.
First, we look at the most anticipated game with old rivals Sweden and the USWNT meeting to start Group G. In their last Olympic meeting, Sweden broke America's hearts on penalties in 2016. Tomorrow's game is the latest encounter of a rivalry that has become quite common at World Cups and Olympics.
We break down what to expect tomorrow in Tokyo. We look at the US trio of Megan Rapinoe, Alex Morgan, and Tobin Heath. While the US will go into tomorrow's game as a favorite, Sweden recently drew in an April friendly and will not fear facing the reigning World Champs Afterwards, the US will play New Zealand and Australia in Group G. We also look at which players and nations could give the US a challenge. We also look at how fatigue will affect all teams with six matches in a short period of time. We also look at the USMNT most important and players they cannot afford to lose at the Olympics.
We also look back at our favorite Olympic football memories. I start by saying that Brazil's Formiga will be competing in her seventh Olympics. Alex responds with the Americans winning the gold at the first women's Olympic tournament over China at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics.
He also remembers seeing his favorite player, Alex Morgan, score the game-winning goal in a dramatic 4-3 win for the US over Canada at the 2012 London Olympics. We also remember Neymar and Brazil winning the men's gold medal in 2016 over Germany.
Finally, we each pick who will win the gold medal in women's football. Alex likes the USWNT while Big D is picking the Dutch to win.

FakePigskin Editor and Chief Kyle Robert Talks Fantasy Football and Titans with Big D
In this episode, FakePigskin Editor and Chief Kyle Robert and I talk fantasy football and the Tennessee Titans.
First, we look at dynasty and redrafts. Kyle talks about his strategy for dynasty leagues. Usually, most fantasy owners like taking running backs early and waiting for other positions. We both agree that with the injury history and regression, running backs are not always the best strategy for fantasy drafts. We also debate whether some positions are under- or over-valued.
At the tight end position, Kyle believes Travis Kelce is worthy of a first-round pick. He also likes George Kittle and Darren Waller early in drafts. Afterwards, the value is not the same following the first three tight ends.
In a surprise to me, Kyle tells me he would take Titans running back Derrick Henry with the No. 1 overall pick in his fantasy league. Kyle likes the rushing and touchdown consistency of Henry every Sunday.
We also look into what Atlanta Falcons rookie tight end Kyle Pitts will do. We wonder if teams may draft him early or wait too long. Kyle suggests Hayden Hurst could be a nice value. Kyle is looking to get Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts on his teams.
We conclude this episode with a discussion over Kyle's Tennessee Titans. With Tennessee adding future hall-of-fame receiver Julio Jones and pass-rusher Bud Dupree, we look at how these additions will impact the Titans. With the Colts looking strong, the Jaguars having Trevor Lawrence, and the Texans uncertain future, we look at Tennessee's chances of repeating in the AFC South, and the Titans path towards a potential playoff return in 2021. Hint, there may be a friendly wager coming between Kyle's Titans and my Jags.

English golf Betting/DFS expert Tom Jacobs talks The 149th Open Championship with Big D
In this episode, English golf DFS/betting expert and I preview this week's 149th Open Championship at Royal St. Georges Golf Club in Sandwich, England.
First, we look at the historical significance of this major being the only one held in Europe. We also look bak at past Open Championship moments. We also look at how the weather will affect this week's Open Championship. Tee times will often have a say on if top golfers succeed at The Open.
Next, we look at our favorite bets. Tom could not get away from Brooks Kopeka. Brooks has won four majors and is usually contending in most majors. Brooks also has experienced link golf from his time at Europe. I respond with wondering if this week could be Dustin Johnson's week to win. With a major pedigree and a second at this course in 2011, DJ's odds could line up this week. We both agree that Bryson DeChambeau might not fit this major, but his big number might be worth an investment. With the same odds, Tyrell Hatton and Patrick Reed are good values at 35-1. We also give our favorite long-shots with big numbers to attract bettors.
Then, we switch to DraftKings DFS. I mention how Jordan Spieth stands a chance at being the most popular option in DK Millionaire lineups. Tom explains with soft pricing this week that Jon Rahm could be in a winning lineup at $11,300. He will also start many lineups with Brooks and Hatton. We both mention how Daniel Berger is incredibly too cheap at $7,400. With a game built for The Open and multiple wins, Berger will likely be chalky this week. Tom also says Sam Burns and Johannes Veerman as great punt plays.
Finally, we give our Open picks. Tom likes Brooks Kopeka while Big D is taking Jordan Spieth to hoist the Claret Jug.

Geoff Ulrich talks 149th Open Championship With Big D
In this episode, golf DFS/betting expert Geoff Ulrich and I preview this week's 149th Open Championship. First, we try and explain what led to Bryson DeChambeau and his caddy separating. Geoff believes Bryson may have needed a change to be more consistent.
We then switch our attention to the Royal St. George Golf Club, which will host the 149th Open Championship. With this being the only major in Europe, we look a the unique setup of this venue. We also talk about how luck often plays a factor at this major. Royal St. George is among the worst Open venues for greens in regulation. Geoff and I both also mention the difficulty of the bunkers and how this major has led to surprise winners with Ben Curtis in 2003, Todd Hamilton in 2004, and Darren Clarke in 2011.
We switch our attention to betting and our favorite DKSportsbook options. As usual, Geoff likes Louis Oosthuizen. He also likes Justin Thomas with odds over +2000. I also like Dustin Johnson's odds of +2250 looking for a hot week. We also look at Bryson and Collin Morikawa at +3500. Geoff likes Marc Leishman at +7000. Big D also likes Rickie Fowler at +8500.
We switch to DFS and our favorite DraftKings plays. We both believe most DFS players will use a balanced approach and not punting anyone of six lineup spots. Right now, Jordan Spieth and Daniel Berger will be very popular. Berger's price of $7,400 amazed both of us that he was not more expensive.
Finally, we make our picks for The Open. Geoff likes Marc Leishman while Big D is going with Jordan Spieth to win the Claret Jug.

UK Soccer Betting expert Charlie Mullan talks UEFA Euro 2020 Final/Italy-England with me
In this episode, UK football betting expert Charlie Mullan and I preview Sunday's UEFA Euro 2020 final between Italy and England.
First, we recap two memorable semi-finals, which saw Italy outlast Spain on penalties, and England end its semi-final jinx against Denmark. We talk about how Italy played a defensive game against Spain's possession while England finally faced adversity against the Danes. We also talk about the roles both managers have done in getting Italy and England to the final. Roberto Mancini has turned Italy from a country that missed the 2018 World Cup to an elite nation. Charlie mentions how Gareth Southgate has molded from a player who missed the deciding penalty in 1996 to one game from England's first major trophy since the 1966 World Cup. Southgate has also now been afraid of using players from any club whether they were in a major European tournament or not.
We also breakdown the projected starting lineups starting from goalkeeper to attackers. With both teams playing 120 minutes, we debate fatigue and how the substitutions will affect Sunday's game.
With both of us into numbers, we look at our favorite props and odds for Sunday's match.
Finally, we pick Sunday's final. Both of us see England winning. Charlie believes England will get a 1-0 win while I believe the Three Lions will win a penalty shootout at Wembley.

Brad Harvin talks all things Jacksonville Jaguars with Big D.
In this episode, Jacksonville Jaguars fan Brad Harvin and I breakdown our favorite NFL team.
First, we talk about the significance of having a professional sports franchise in this area of northern Florida. With so many successful college football programs in a close radius, the Jags made sense with fans who could root for them when Jacksonville started in 1995.
Second, we talk about the impact 2021 NFL Draft No. 1 overall pick Trevor Lawrence will have as a rookie. We both believe he can be special. Without the best offensive line, Lawrence may need to use his mobility and his running backs.
We also look at how well Urban Meyer will do in his first season as Jags head coach. Meyer has won everywhere he has coached in college. Brad also explains that getting Lawrence was a main reason why Meyer came to Jacksonville. We are also wondering how Meyer will handle losing more than any year at Utah, Florida, or the Ohio State. With college football and the NFL running closer offenses, we believe his experience with young players will coach a young team in Jacksonville.
We also answer whether Jacksonville's own Tim Tebow will make any impact as a 33-year-old tight end with the Jags.
We also talk about Jacksonville's important and breakout players. We are both intrigued what Marvin Jones can do with Lawrence as his quarterback. I am hopeful CJ Henderson, K'Lavon Chiasson, and Josh Allen can develop in Jacksonville's next crop of productive defenders.
Finally, we conclude with some Jags trivia!

DailyFanMMA.com's Brett Appley joins me to talk UFC 264/Poirier/McGregor
In this episode, DailyFanMMA.com's Brett Appley and I talk UFC 264 and Dustin Poirier-Conor McGregor 3. First, we look at the main event between Dustin Poirier and Conor McGregor. In the first fight, Conor knocked out Poirier in 2014. Poirier returned the favor in January. With the aggressiveness of both fighters, we agree this fight will likely end in an early knockout. Conor may need to this fight early while Poirier can survive on his conditioning.
Next, we look at the co-main event between Stephen Thompson and Gilbert Burns. We give our takes on what fighter will take a step closer towards a Welterweight title bout.
We also talk early DraftKings plays for UFC 264. Brett really likes targeting the opening fight between Allen Amedovski and Hu Yaozong and Sean O'Malley as a monster favorite. Brett also answers my question whether DFS owners should use Poirier and McGregor in their lineups.

Dynasty FF Expert/Patriots fan Jay Christensen talks dynasty leagues and his New England Patriots
In this episode, dynasty football expert/Patriots fan Jay Christensen and I talk dynasty leagues, Patriots, and trivia.
First, we talk dynasty. Jay explains what it takes to run a successful league. Unlike normal fantasy football, dynasty teams, are largely the game. Other than trades and rookies, teams could use the same roster in multiple years. For dynasty owners, two interesting players are with the New Orleans Saints. Without Drew Brees, there are more questions with Michael Thomas. After a huge 2019, Thomas dealt with injuries in a frustrating season for fantasy owners. We talk about whether Saints running back Alvin Kamara in 2021. Despite losing Brees, we both believe Kamara wlll be fine this year for fantasy and dynasty owners.
Jay then mentions how he believes Giants running back Saquon Barkley will be the top dynasty/fantasy choice this year. We also look into whether Rams second-year back Cam Akers will live up to the hype in 2021. Jay also gives his favorite dynasty plays and fades.
The conversation then switches to the Patriots. After two decades with Tom Brady winning Super Bowls in NE, Cam Newton struggled to fill TB12's boots in a disappointing 7-9 season. We also look in NE's aggressive off-season, and whether Alabama rookie Mac Jones will eventually start in 2021. We also look at the Patriots schedule, which includes a Tom Brady homecoming Week 4 in Foxboro. Despite not making the playoffs last year, the Pats could contend in 2021.
Finally, he tries to master my question about a famous win in Patriots history!

America's race-walking couple, Nick Christie and Robyn Stevens: Trials Review; Robyn Making Olympics
In this episode, American 20-kilometer race-walking champs Nick Christie, Robyn Stevens, and I recap their 2020 Olympic Trials last weekend in Eugene and look forward to seeing at least one if not both at the Olympics.
First, I wanted to see how Nick and Robyn's training and races went before Olympic Trials. Robyn mentions how they had not done a real from 2019 until their first 20K in Philadelphia. Unfortunately, the weather was not ideal for great walking performances. Robyn and Nick finally took their first and only flight to Philadelphia in over a year. After having not used an airplane in over a year, both of them did not drink or any refreshments on a cross-country flight and arrived dehydrated and under-nourished. Robin also experiences panic attacks, and she dealt with multiple while on the flight.
At the Olympic Trials, Eugene experienced record warmth, and many longer races were held early to avoid the oppressive heat. Robyn and Nick were quite experienced in running in hot, windy conditions.
Nick won his 20-kilometer race in 1:31, and Robyn won in 1:35. Robin actually got to finish twice. Nick actually lapped her before she finished her race. Neither walker made the Olympic standard, but walkers do not necessarily need a the standard for an Olympic berth.
This week, Robyn found out yesterday she would be going to the Olympics. Nick will not know until July 5 if he will be heading to the Olympics.
In conclusion, we talk about what race-walking will be with the unpredictable climate and weather conditions in Sapporo. Robyn and Nick also discuss how it would be to race without each other. Robyn mentions this would be the longest time they would be apart from each other.

British 400-meter hurdles champ Jess Turner talks hurdles and making the Tokyo Olympics with Big D.
In this episode, British 400-meter hurdle champ Jess Turner recap her exciting hurdling adventure from your young days in England to securing her Olympic spot to Tokyo.
First, we talk her early running adventures. For Jess, her sister played a major role in starting her running career. Jess wanted to follow her sister in every event she tried.
Jess remembers running a national qualifying time for English schools, which is a major event for young athletes in England. Jess remembers how her coach knew the 400-meter hurdles would be her event. Originally, Jess wanted to be a heptathlete, but she could not throw the shot put or javelin. Through being a heptathlete Jess learned hurdling, running, and sprinting techniques to develop her into a 400-meter star.
Jess then discusses the workouts to become a great 400-meter hurdle athlete. We both agree that training is much harder than running in an actual race.
In 2017, Jess won a silver medal at the 2017 European Athletics U23 Championships. Jess vividly remembers the final running blind in lane nine actually helped her run a fast time. Now, Jess loves lane nine.
In 2019, Jess made her first IAAF World Athletics Championships in Doha for the 400-meter hurdles and the 4x400-meter relay for Great Britain. She reached the semi-finals in the 400-meter hurdles, and GBR finished fourth in the 4x400-meter relay.
Heading to the British Olympic Trials, Jess ran a 54:77 in Belgium and 54:79 in Florence, Italy. Then, we recap Jessica's memorable race at the British Olympic Trials in Manchester, where her 54:83 in the 400-meter hurdles final won her the race and a ticket to the Tokyo Olympics. Jess was relieved to finish the race and book her spot in the Olympics.
With fast times happening by several runners in the 400-meter hurdles, we look into the speed of this event. We recap Sydney McLaughin setting the women's world record of 51:90 at the US Olympic Trials. Last night, Norway's Karsten Warholm broke Kevin Young's world record at 46.70 while Holland's young star, Lemke Bol, set her country's national record at 53:33 during the Oslo Diamond League.
Lately, several track and field stars including reigning 400-meter world champ Salwa Eid Naser and US 100-meter champ Sha'Carri Richardson have been suspended from the Tokyo Olympics. We look into what could be done to prevent more athletes from testing positive for PEDs or marijuana.
We then look into how both 400-meter hurdle races will play in Tokyo. With two world records and numerous personal bests and national records occurring, we both believe both world records could fall in Tokyo.

Jake Talks Bass Fishing; Haley Rains Threes from her FGCU days with Big D
In this episode, Jake and Haley Whitaker talk about fishing and FGCU women's basketball with Big D. First, Jake talks about his bass fishing experience. He remembers how his dad helped get him into fishing. While at UNC Charlotte, Jake won the 2014 National Championship. In 2018, Jake won the Bassmaster Rookie of the year, reeling in fish against the pros at a young age. For top bass fisherman, winning the Bassmaster Classic is the No. 1 goal. Jake has made three straight Bassmaster Classics. Jake explains the process of an event. Usually, bass tournaments have four days of competition. All bass fishers are guaranteed two days, and the top-50 weights advance to the third day. The top-10 scores make the fourth and final day of fishing.
Jake's next event is the Guaranteed Rate Bassmaster Elite at Lake Champlain from July 8-11
Then, we switch to Haley talking about her FGCU. Memorably, Haley will never forget running head coach Karl Smesko's mile he wanted his team to run for conditioning.
In 2017, FGCU played Miami in the first round of the NCAA tournament. Haley was impressed with how many FGCU fans made the trek to Coral Gables. Haley, Taylor Gradinjan, and I even took a picture together while watching the first game. Even though Miami won by two points, it was a fun experience seeing FGCU rain a few threes in March.

Even without making many moves in free agency, Jesse believes in GB's talent despite not coming through in big games.
Second, we debate the future of reigning NFL MVP Aaron Rodgers. Even though both of us believe he will be back in GB, there are questions whether he may become the full-time Jeopardy host, or want a trade out of Wisconsin. We also look at whether 2020 first-rounder Jordan Love is ready to be GB's next passer if needed.
The conversation switches to looking at GB's brutal 2021 schedule, which includes games against the NFC West, AFC North, and the Kansas City Chiefs.
Finally, Jesse and his co-host, Kyle Senra, wrote about the top-10 seasons in Packers history on https://cms.megaphone.fm/channel/ADV8894478523?selected=ADV2666150131. Here, I also bring up a famous play that is still remembered in GB/NFL history.

First, we look back at a crazy ending to Group F, which saw France win the group, Germany barely finishing second, Cristiano Ronaldo equal the men's international goals record for Portugal, and Hungary nearly pull off a shock surprise.
With both of us interested at which teams are favored, we switch to betting. According to the DKSportsBook, France will go into the knockout rounds as a +420 favorite. Italy, England, Germany, Spain, and the Netherlands follow France with odds between +600 and +900. We both seem befuddled by Belgium's +950 odds despite a difficult road to be crowned Europe's best nation.

In this episode, fantasy football expert and Chiefs fan Mike Hicks and I debate a variety of football topics. First, we talk fantasy football. Mike is doing plenty of dynasty drafting. In dynasty drafts, users keep their rosters and draft rookies to build their rosters. Mike explains how he traded older veterans Matt Ryan and Julio Jones for younger pieces in Brandon Aiyuk and Miles Sanders.
We also talk about our favorite fantasy targets in 2021. Mike is really considering drafting new LA Rams starter Matthew Stafford and fading Raiders running back Josh Jacobs in redrafts. At receiver, Matt is worried Tee Higgins won't get enough work, and is intrigued with Russell Gage as a low receiver. Mike would also draft Justin Jefferson over Davante Adams.
The conversation shifts to Mike's favorite team, the Kansas City Chiefs. Both of us agree the Chiefs stand a good chance at making another Super Bowl run this season. We also talk about what may have happened if the Chiefs had drafted Mecole Hardman over DK Metcalf a few years ago.
We conclude this episode with a little trivia, where I ask Matt about the 1989 NFL Draft. He also asks me about my Jacksonville Jaguars.

Despite a 5-11 record, the Broncos feature several exciting players including Jerry Jeudy, Noah Fant, Garrett Bolles, and Courtland Sutton. Last Year, Drew Lock, who lacked the consistency to be a franchise quarterback.
We also break down if the Broncos could acquire Green Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers or Houston's Deshaun Watson. With one of those two in Denver, we debate the Broncos' odds of challenging the AFC West.

Charlie Mullan and I preview the Champions League Final between City and Chelsea
In this episode, UK betting expert Charlie Mullan and I preview Saturday's Champions League final between Premier League rivals Manchester City and Chelsea. Originally supposed to be played in Instanbul, Saturday's final will be played at the Estádio do Dragão in Porto, Portugal.
Charlie and I both explain how both teams will setup and look to win this game. Usually in big matches, teams often play cautiously not taking big chances. Charlie also gives two players who could impact the game. He believes City's Phil Foden and Chelsea's Mason Mount will play crucial roles. I also bring up Riyad Mahrez as key play for City.
We also look into how playing the Champions League in Porto will work. Villa Park, where Aston Villa beat Chelsea 2-1 on Sunday's Premier League finale, was one potential host for the UCL Final. I explain how playing where Chelsea lost last weekend might be a superstition to avoid. Roughly, 16,500 fans will attend the Champions League final - giving this match more of a true final atmosphere.
We also look in history as Chelsea's Christian Pulisic could become the first American to start a Champions League Final. City's Zack Steffen will almost have a chance to make the bench. We look into what role Pulisic could play against City and how having an American potentially play and start in Europe's biggest match means for US Soccer.
Finally, we pick a winner. Both of us believe this game will be a low-scoring tactical battle with both teams knowing each other so well. With goals so precious, one goal could easily win this game, - meaning the Under of 2.5 goals could be a good play.
