History's Forgotten - Season 2 - Episode 6 - Dorothy Height
In this episode:
For Black History Month, seniors Christi Norris, Caleb Audia and Amanda Hare discuss important contributions of African Americans throughout history in this episode of “History’s Forgotten.” This podcast highlights Dorothy Height, a civil and women's rights activist- most known for her work in the civil rights movement of the 1900s. Height played an integral role in the complete desegregation of the Young Women's Christian Association and also worked with the National Council for Negro Women and even helped organize the march on Washington. Before her death, Height was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom and the Congressional Gold Medal and after her passing, the Washington D.C. main post office was renamed the Dorothy I. Height Post Office.

In the second episode of the podcast CK-1, student Makayla Noble’s journey is shared, as well as ways you can help in her physical health fight. To continue as planned, a new podcast covering a new topic and discussion about Prosper High School will be published each week. Dr. Burdett is known for always ending emails with the phrase “For Kids.” As a result, the podcast title has a double meaning. CK-1, standing for senior and design editor Caitlyn Kennedy, is one of them, but “For Kids,” a tribute to Burdett’s email closings, also contributes to the concept.
Over the Popcorn Bowl - Season 1 - Episode 9 - 'Free Solo'
In their ninth episode of their podcast “Over the Popcorn Bowl,” seniors Christi Norris, Amanda Hare, Gabriella Winans and Alyssa Clark discuss the Oscar-winning documentary “Free Solo.” This documentary came out in 2018, and covers the rope-free climb of Alex Honnold, who was 21 at the time, on El Capitan in June of 2017. El Capitan is a 3,000 ft. mountain made of sheer granite in Yosemite National Park. Honnold is a free-solo climber, which means he climbs mountains with no gear or equipment. There has been no known attempt to free solo this mountain until Honnold.

The main plot follows Randall Mindy (Leonardo DiCaprio) and Kate DiBlasky (Jennifer Lawerence) who go on a media tour to alert everyone of a nine kilometer wide comet, named Comet DiBlasky, that will send mile-high tsunamis across the Earth, ending human life permanently.

The seniors shared their opinions over the movie as a whole as well as comparing the three different Spider-Man universes and discussing the movie's plot twists and Oscars campaign.
