This week on Pucks in Deep, the ECH boys are joined by legendary head coach of Army West Point, Brian Riley. Coach talks about being the hottest team in college hockey heading into playoffs, his advice for hockey coaches, how he recruits, the hardest part of his job, and why he loves what he does. This week on Pucks in Deep, out of AIC, we have this years Comeback Player of the Year, Eric Otto. The ECH boys were lucky enough to sit down with the Redshirt Freshmen and discuss his amazing comeback to play division I hockey after battling Stage 4 Hodgkins Lymphoma and beating it! Otto talks about what it was like going through his battle and how it affected both his life and his hockey Career. Otto also goes on to talk about what it means for him to be back in room with the boys and what he is most excited for heading into the second half of the 2021 season. AIC who is currently atop of the Atlantic Hockey Conference will need big contributions from Otto and others to make, what would be their 2nd NCAA tournament appearance in 5 years under head coach Eric Lang. Otto and the ECH Boys go over the importance of eating pucks, getting pucks in deep, and staying healthy during a season masked by Covid. Calverley who's already registered 10 points in 6 games this season is on the show to talk about his hot start as well as what the atmosphere around RIT is like this year. The Tigers who have started the season 3-2-1 and have showed a lot of offense in those games by tallying 25 goals in 6 games, with Calverley getting 6 of those. Calverley touches on his time at RIT so far, his pathway from Chilliwack to RIT, his game day regimen, and more. Ty talks about what it's like to be in his first year at Quinnipiac during a pandemic and constant scheduling changes, as well as what to expect from the squad this year. The boys go over the gameplan for Sacred Heart who comes to town on Monday, why Ty chose Quinnipiac over more "known" schools, how it felt to be drafted in the 3rd round by the Florida Panthers, what his game-day routine is, and much more. Charlie talks about what it's like to be a D1 athlete playing his final year of college hockey at a new school in a new conference, as well as the success the Spartans have had to start the season. This week on Pucks in Deep we have junior forward from the University of Nebraska-Omaha, Taylor Ward.  Ward, heading into what will be a season of change due to Covid, talks about Omaha being one of the hosts locations for the NCHC this season as well as what to expect from the Mavericks this year. This man doesn't block the most shots in the world but boy oh boy can he put the puck in the back of the net as he had a team leading 16 goals last year. Also on this weeks episode, Ward talks about his development through Juniors to where he is now as a leader for the Mavericks. Lastly, the ECH boys talk about the nearby college hockey season, how many pucks were going to be getting deep this season and what to expect from the rest of college hockey!

This week on Pucks in Deep we have former Captain for the University of Boston Terriers and current forward in the Detroit Red Wings organization, Pat Curry. The boys sit down and talk about what it's like to play 4 years at BU, or as Pat would say, "The SEC of College Hockey". Find out how Pat worked his way up from being a late bloomer in the USHL to wearing the C and leading BU in goals last season. This week on Pucks in Deep we have Freshman defenseman for the University of Alabama Huntsville Chargers, Ayo Adeniye. The boys sit down and discuss what it's like to be a part of a young Charger team that includes 13 Freshman. Ayo talks about how he started playing hockey at 3 years old thanks to a birthday party that went awry, and he's been getting pucks in deep ever since. This week on Pucks in Deep we have Sophmore forward for the University of Wisconsin Badgers, Owen Lindmark. The boys sit down and discuss what it's like to play for Wisconsin and the high expectations their team has. The boys sit down and discuss what it's like to play for Union and the winning tradition that coach Rick Bennett has established there for the last decade. Dylan talks about his start in hockey growing up in Calgary, Alberta Canada. He always had a knack for getting pucks in deep and really developed his love for blocked shots while playing in the BCHL for the Prince George Spruce Kings. The Black Knights goalie and the ECH boys discuss Army’s success last season as well as what they have to do to get back in the top 20 this season. This week on Pucks in Deep we have another Minnesota kid out of Edina, Ben Copeland. Copeland who spent his time playing for the Waterloo Blackhawks of the USHL in Juniors, will now be entering his junior season with the Colorado College Tigers. Copeland joins the pod this week to talks about his path to CC and why he chose CC over other schools. Also on this weeks episode, we talk about the back to school phase and how CC is going about their fall semester and when we might see college hockey start back up. When we do start back up, Copeland will look to add to his 39 points in his first seasons. This week on Pucks in Deep we have UMASS goaltender Matt Murray join the ECH Boys to talk about how UMASS has turned their program around and is now a team that finds themselves at the top of the NCAA. Murray who holds the schools record for most wins in a single season will be entering into his senior season with the Minutemen looking for another trip to the frozen four. Hello College Hockey fans! This week on Pucks in Deep we have from the University of Michigan, Junior goaltender, Strauss Mann. Mann a Former Clark Cup champ with the Fargo Force is now heading into his junior year with the Wolverines and is looking to have another breakout season. Last season Mann posted a 1.85 GAA with a .939 SV% and with that, took home the Big Ten Goaltender of the year award. On this weeks episode we talk about Strauss Mann's journey to Michigan and how he got where he is today. This week on Pucks in Deep we have recent Vegas Golden Knight signee Jack Dugan join the podcast. Dugan who put on a show in his last two seasons for the Providence Friars was the NCAA's leading point getter this past season as he totaled 52 points in 34 games in his shortened season this year and all together put up 91 points in 75 games in his college career. Dugan is now getting the opportunity he deserves with the Golden Knights once the NHL resumes their season.
