Special Sermon - Life is Like a Mist

Special Sermon - Life is Like a Mist

In a significant deviation from his usual approach, Pastor Boston delivered this sermon entirely from the heart, without the aid of notes or outlines. The context of the sermon was particularly poignant, following a week where Pastor Boston had conducted multiple funerals. These experiences brought him to a profound reflection on life, death, and the various facets of the Christian faith.

This sermon, born from a week of contemplation and sorrow, became a powerful and touching message, resonating deeply with the congregation. Recognizing the impact and universal relevance of his words, Pastor Boston felt compelled to share this sermon with a broader audience through his podcast.

The episode is a heartfelt exploration of faith, hope, and resilience in the face of loss, offering comfort and inspiration to listeners from all walks of life. "In these trying times, the teachings of faith can offer much-needed solace and perspective. It is my hope that this sermon can provide that to anyone who listens," Pastor Boston remarked.

Multi-talented Michael Feighan to Release Solo Project Someone Prayed Oct. 15, 2021; First Single “I Still Believe” Available Aug. 27, 2021

Michael’s high-profile career began when he joined the Christian metal band Whitecross, and he was ranked as of the top 10 drummers in Christian music. The group’s music grew around the world that included the states, South America and Europe, and led to three Dove Awards for recordings with Triumphant Return (1990), In The Kingdom (1992) and “Come Unto The Light” (1994).

Michael became an on-demand drummer that led to other opportunities outside of Whitecross. This included being signed to Star Song Music (1991-1993), R.E.X Music (1994-1995), Madison Line Records (2013), playing with Curious Fools on the Gotee label in 1997, performing with Oz Fox of Stryper and pop artist B.J. Thomas.

Feighan has assembled an incredible team for the project. Matt Bissonette (Elton John, Ringo Starr) joined as producer for Someone Prayed, while his brother, Gregg Bissonette (Ringo Starr), added his drumming expertise for the EP and five-time Grammy® Award-winning engineer, Chris Lord-Alge (Bruce Springsteen, Tina Turner, Tim McGraw) brings his talent to the mix.

Kevin Sorbo Shares His Latest Projects

Kevin Sorbo Shares His Latest Projects

Kevin Sorbo joins us today and shares about 2 projects that are coming out soon and also some things coming down the road.

Against the Tide is a new feature-length documentary on the life, work, and mission of legendary University of Oxford professor, mathematician, and philosopher Dr. John Lennox.  Lennox has devoted a lifetime in a rigorous investigation of the critical question “Do science and history refute the validity of the Bible and the Christian worldview?”

In Against the Tide, veteran Hollywood actor and director Kevin Sorbo (Hercules, God’s Not Dead, Let There Be Light) outlines some of the most challenging accusations that science makes against scripture. Through compelling conversations and visual explorations, Professor Lennox sets the record straight, as he stands against the tide of disinformation and proclaims the undeniable Truth.  Created by Pensmore Films, Against the Tide takes viewers on a journey from Oxford to Israel as Lennox and Sorbo unpack theological and scientific evidence of God, culminating in the Holy Land to experience the verifiable evidence about the life and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Viewers will be educated, informed, and edified in their faith, giving them the confidence and tools to defend their own faith as they also stand Against The Tide.

After an exhausting night saving a young girl from a raging house fire, Fireman Tom Hatcher is at the end of his rope. He couldn’t save his wife from cancer – and worse yet – his six year old daughter, Tiffany, is now facing the same possible fate. When he finds himself in a cold jail cell after attacking a pastor out of frustration with a seemingly absent God, Tom begins to reflect on his downward spiral into despair. But with the help and persistent friendship of the very man he assaulted, Tom is challenged to face his grief and embrace faith in the darkest hours of his life.

Marci Henna Shares About the Movie "When We Last Spoke"

Marci Henna Shares About the Movie "When We Last Spoke"

ReelWorks Studios and Fathom Events announce new, expanded release dates for WHEN WE LAST SPOKE, now in movie theaters nationwide October 27, 29, 30 and 31. WHEN WE LAST SPOKE is a heartwarming tale of family, friendship and forgiveness featuring Corbin Bernsen (“Psych,” “L.A. Law”), Melissa Gilbert (“Little House on the Prairie”), Darby Camp (“Big Little Lies,” THE CHRISTMAS CHRONICLES), Chandler Head (THE GLASS CASTLE) and Academy award-winning actress, Cloris Leachman (I CAN ONLY IMAGINE, THE LAST PICTURE SHOW).

In 1967, life for Juliet and Evangeline changes quickly after their father James departs to fight in the Vietnam War and their mother, who feels ill-equipped to raise two daughters alone, leaves them with their grandparents, Walt and Ruby, to pursue her own singing career. Together, the family learns how to overcome heartbreak and uncertainty by holding tight to the most important aspects of life – family, friends, love and forgiveness.

Inspired by the novel from Marci Henna, director Joanne Hock and screenplay writers Rick Eldridge and Jimmy Hager, WHEN WE LAST SPOKE will leave audiences grateful for the gift of family, the relief of laughter and with a newfound appreciation for the often kooky relationships with friends and family.

Marci Henna grew up near Austin, Texas where she graduated from the University of Texas with a B.A. in English. As a child, she lived with the Wakamba in Kenya, East Africa, in Santa Fe, New Mexico and in various Texas cities. For twenty years, she served on the executive committee of the Dell Children’s Medical Center Foundation, on the James Dick Foundation (for the International Festival-Institute at Round Top, Texas) and on the boards of other nonprofits. She and her husband, Louis, have four beautiful children, two roly-poly dogs and reside in Austin, Texas and Santa Fe, New Mexico

Meet O'cean Hill

Meet O'cean Hill

After a brief hiatus from doing interviews, we return and meet O'cean Hill. Enjoy his positive outlook and check out his video here.

Now is the Time by O'cean Hil

O’cean Hill is a singer/rapper/songwriter and producer from Miami Beach, FL., that is bringing an infectious new sound and a new genre of music that he created called Abstract Swing.

O’cean Hill comes from humble beginnings, he was born in New York City & raised on the Island of Puerto Rico. His love for the art of singing awakened at the early age of four while watching television appearances of legendary performers like Elvis Presley and Michael Jackson.

The power and the presence of these great entertainers were crucial and very influential to the development of his musical career. O’cean started writing songs when he was only 12 years old and by the time he was 15 he was already producing and arranging his own music. A vivid imagination and creative energy has allowed O’cean to write songs for himself and other artists. When asked about what inspires him to write his own music O’cean replied, “Through my music I want to be able to be a vessel that connects people with their own personal walk with God.”

O’cean Hill’s first professional opportunity as a singer took place in Boston, Massachusetts, when he was given the chance to be the opening act for The New Kids On The Block, at the Lynn Memorial Auditorium in Lynn, Massachusetts. O’cean continued his trailblazing nature by creating, producing and hosting an Urban Music TV show that debuted on MTV International called Da’Klick where he interviewed the top Latin singers and rappers of the time.

This opportunity led the way for him to open more shows for large acts such as The Commodores, Will To Power and Brenda K. Starr. He also had the privilege to be the featured artist for the 2005 Latin Billboard Awards Showcase. O’cean’s goal is to share his testimony with people that normally wouldn’t listen to Christian music by using his Puerto Rican roots and the afro-Caribbean influences that he was exposed to while growing up in Puerto Rico. “Abstract Swing is a fusion of salsa beats, African rhythms & pop melodies topped off with a hip hop swing” says O’cean.

His new single “Now Is The Time” was recorded at Blackbird Studios in Nashville Tennessee, owned by country music super star Martina McBride, it was mixed by Lauren Daigle’s Grammy award winning engineer, Sean Moffitt and mastered by also Grammy award winner, Joe Laporta.

Ocean’s music and live performances are filled with culture, diversity and excitement. With his Abstract Swing he will continue to push beyond the sonic boundaries of what’s been heard before.

“I want my music to have a happy, fun, energetic vibe to it while still sharing my experiences through personal testimonies, and positive stories of others, that’s why when you listen to my new single “Now is the time” you will realize that it’s a celebration of faith and it will inspire people to let go of their past and focus and embrace the present” -O’cean Hill

What Jack Wilson, the 71-year-old grandfather warrior, is saying about Sunday:

“I just want to thank all who have sent their prayers and comments on the events of today. The events at West Freeway Church of Christ put me in a position that I would hope no one would have to be in, but evil exists (sic), and I had to take out an active shooter in church,” he wrote.

“I’m thankful to GOD that I have been blessed with the ability and desire to serve him in the role of head of security at the church. I am very sad in the loss of two dear friends and brothers in CHRIST, but evil does exist in this world and I and other members are not going to allow evil to succeed. Please pray for all the members and their families in this time. Thank you for your prayers and understanding.”

He indicated in the comment thread that he used the following firearm: “SIG P229-357 SIG.”

Here are four things to know about the 71-year-old grandfather and security volunteer Jack Wilson who saved countless lives yesterday when he took down the active shooter. We applaud Mr. Wilson for his courage and his application of years of training and practice to take out a moving target at approx. 50 ft under incredible pressure. Well done sir, you are an American hero.

#4. Wilson Is a Donald Trump Supporter Who Believes the ‘Survival of the USA’ Will Be Determined by the 2020 Election.

#3. Wilson Is a Former Deputy Sheriff Who Negotiated Contracts for a Major Defense Company.

#2. Wilson Was President of On Target Firearms Training Academy, Inc.,

#1. Wilson Declared That ‘Evil Does Exist in This World’ & Revealed He ‘Had to Take Out an Active Shooter in Church’.

The media doesn't want you to know about Jack Wilson. Jack is:

  • 71 years old
  • Jack has owned a firearms training company
  • Jack is running for his County Commissioner seat
  • Jack is a Trump supporter
  • Jack is a Christian and volunteers at his local Church
  • Jack is also the guy that made a perfect head shot at least 50 ft from across the room to put an end to a murderer in his Texas church Sunday.

Let's make Jack FAMOUS! Share this story for all the freedom and faith loving Americans!

Joseph Alvaro Introduces "The Lucky Ones"

Joseph Alvaro Introduces "The Lucky Ones"

As Christians, we find comfort in knowing we will see the loved ones we’ve lost again. But that doesn’t always make the grieving process easier, especially over the holidays.

Television producer Joseph Alvaro and film/tv critic Matt Zoller Seitz (
RogerEbert.comNew York MagazineVulture.com) are on a mission to change the way Americans think about loss. The creators of The Lucky OnesJoseph and Matt have both experienced the loss of a loved one. Matt lost his wife and Joseph his wife and daughter.

They started The Lucky Ones TV (TLO) after recognizing the lack of outlets for people to express themselves about those they have lost. TLO is the only streaming content platform, which features video exposés, that removes the stigma surrounding loss and instead chooses to celebrate the continuing bonds with that special someone in our lives. This gives people the chance to share why they are ‘One of The Lucky Ones.’

Peace, unity, love, hope, and healing are just a few of the themes woven throughout Gretchen Keskeys’ upcoming third studio album, "Words of Truth" (Creative Soul Records), available everywhere on November 22. The celebrated singer/songwriter is no stranger to sharing heartfelt gems of spiritually-centered encouragement throughout her extensive music ministry, but this latest album may very well be considered her most inspirational to date given the candid observations, unflinching honesty and all-around relatability.

"Words of Truth” comes along at a unique time in America, when people seem more divided than ever before. And Keskeys explores that division with this new collection of songs, with faith, God’s love and patriotism as common themes throughout. Songs like “Look to Jesus” offer hope, and "God Will See Us Through” intertwines "God Bless America” and a touch of the National Anthem.
It’s not surprising given her lifelong interest in current events and politics. In fact, prior to her music career, Keskeys graduated with a journalism degree, interned at a news station, and worked as an assignment editor, news writer, associate producer and talk radio producer as well an on-air talent.
“I started writing the songs on this album a year or more ago as I sought the Lord over the state of our country and its culture,” says Keskeys. “It can be troubling. Everyone is pushing for their own truth. But, I believe Jesus Christ is the truth and His words are words of truth. When we look to Him, we have a hope and a solid foundation to stand on in these uncertain times. Throughout history, God’s truth and love has prevailed.”

Consequences

Consequences

This is an impromptu recording of my passionate thoughts on Consequences. I had no advance notice, no notes, the audio is rough, and I was trying to keep things at 5 minutes and it last over 11. I fully believe that most Preachers do there best when they speak from their heart and that's what I did here.

Veteran's Day Program at Keepsake Village - 11/11/19

Pastor Ed Boston presented a Veteran's Day Program to the residents of Keepsake Village on 11/11/19. There were 9 veterans in attendance and while most probably didn't remember the program later that evening, it was quite an honor to recognize veterans from WWII, Korea, and Viet Nam. The special cake in the episode picture was shared with all present.

#LiveLikeLilyKelly - Faith Zander Share's Lily's Amazing Story

#LiveLikeLilyKelly - Faith Zander Share's Lily's Amazing Story

Lily Kelly's mother Faith Zander joins us to share the heartbreaking but inspirational story of Lily Kelly.

April 12, 2004 - June 1, 2019 Lily Kelly Kahn Harrison has been returned to her rightful home, in Heaven with Jesus. Saturday night, the vehicle carrying her, and her two dear friends was tragically struck by a driver under the influence. She was a singer/songwriter/musician.

Lily Kelly surrendered fully to a life of service to our Creator and Heavenly Father through a personal relationship with our Savior Jesus Christ. Her time, talents and treasures were all used to glorify our Savior Jesus Christ. Lily was 15 years old and had just completed her freshman year at Calvary Chapel Murrieta High School. She played volleyball, softball, enjoyed photography, sketching, was passionate about music – played guitar, & piano and led musical worship at both her church and school.

She loved studying the Bible, seeking God's Word in prayer, and through fellowship with others about His goodness and character. Lily Kelly's heart for service was set to make an international imprint in late June when she would participate in a mission's trip to Ethiopia where her commitment to spreading the love and hope of God through service and song would be shared. Lily encouraged others, loved deeply and selflessly. She had a brilliant light, she was loved and revered by all, she had a contagious smile and laughter that will be remembered and treasured in her loving memory.

Her legacy and life's mission will be shared and propelled forward in the telling of her joyful life's story. Lily is survived by her Mother Faith Zember & Dad Louie Zember Jr, Father Rick Kahn, Sister Sierra Kahn, Brother Louie Zember, Grandparents Bob (Abbob) & Lisa (Mimi) Harrison, Louie Sr. (Nanu) and Debbie (Grammie) Zember, Charlene and Rich Young, Great-Grandparents Joyce & Lowell Stump, Aunt Lori Harrison & Honorary Uncle Eric Nugent, Aunt Kim Zember, Aunt Amber & Uncle Jeff Zember, Aunt Tracy Kahn, Aunt Tamara Kahn, and Cousins Eli & Isaac Zember, Kacie, Karlie & Nick Gile, Jake & Erin Jankowski.

In A Very Specially Done Podcast, Ellis Lucas Tells Us An Amazing Story

In A Very Specially Done Podcast, Ellis Lucas Tells Us An Amazing Story

We're going to do something here that I’ve never done in the over 2,000 episodes of the Ed Boston Podcast that we've done over the last 11 years. We're pulling part of an interview we did with Ellis Lucas and make a total separate podcast with the part you are about to listen to. We've had several multiple podcast interviews before because of length, but never one like this. This is the touching story of Ellis and his parents. Unknown to us before the interview, Ellis' father had passed away just two days earlier.

Today's podcast ends with an original song from Ellis called "Outside Looking In".

A little about Ellis

While he never envisioned becoming an author, Ellis Lucas is a natural born storyteller nonetheless. And in an age where it feels like everyone, even the most inconsequential of public figures and celebrities, feels compelled to chronicle their life’s journey in memoir form, Ellis Lucas’s The Potter and the Clay isn’t yet another ho-hum account of a few of humanity’s shared experiences. It’s a gritty, real-life story of utter transformation. A riveting and transparent page-turner of a story filled with love, a veritable mountain of loss, and eventually, sweet redemption, The Potter and the Clay also offers a powerful takeaway, namely that no matter how far someone feels from salvation, hope, change and, yes, total renewal are never out of reach.

“My life had been so completely destroyed that I’d come to believe there was absolutely no hope of ever changing, and all I had to look forward to was whatever awaited me beyond the grave—most likely judgment,” Ellis shares. “But while locked up in the Clay County Missouri Jail, at the end of life as I knew it, Jesus Christ stretched out His mighty hand of grace and showed Himself along with an astonishing revelation. God loved me and had an amazing plan for my life if I would open my heart and receive Him that day. And that’s a message I want the whole world to hear.” Read More!
