Keep Calm and Carry On
For the second guest of season two we have the wonderful lady I call Mum. Mrs P, J-Dawg, Mummy Dearest, just some of the names she goes by. Julie recounts some of the significant moments in her life. As a hint, she has had four surnames in her lifetime.
As we explore the interesting, and at times challenging, moments throughout her life we’ll get an idea of the resilience of this incredible lady. Whether it’s being mistaken for an alcoholic soccer mum wearing sunglasses in the rain, or having wedding day jitters a minute from the church, Julie has seen it and lives to tell the tale. Changes in her life over the past two years have given her time to pause and reflect, and whilst speaking with us this week she has shared some of that wisdom.
Julie, mum, you’re wonderful. Thank you for sharing so candidly with us the depths of your heart and the challenges you’ve faced.

Episode 10 - Sleeping dreams...?
This week we are talking dreams. But what do we mean by dreams. The aspirations and desires of our hearts. That ideal job, perfect gift or once in a lifetime experience. Well those are one type of dreams, what we succinctly call aspirational dreams. The other are the literal dreams we have when we sleep.
So how do we reconcile these two distinctly different things. Listen to this week's episode to find out about the importance of having both types of dreams and sharing them with other people.
This is a special week for us, as its the last in our first series of 10 episodes establishing the podcast and telling you a bit about who we are. Join us next week for our first guest episode with the wonderful Blandford Family.
Peace.

Episode 7 - Sport
This week we are talking about Sports. Our favourite sports to play, to watch and our reflections on how sports impact out lives, and society at large.
This week started with a discussion about our favourite football teams and players. The most iconic player of my youth was David Beckham. He not only was an amazing player, but managed to take the buzz he created on the field, off of it too. I remember watching some of his most iconic moments and seeing him captain the England squad in his iconic number 7 jersey.
Silas shares how Saturday TV inspired a lot of his sport passions and also about how family forms a significant part of our interaction with sport. But most importantly, for Silas at least, was Space Jam. His addiction to Jordan’s was sparked, and he has never looked back.
You may notice we talk a lot about American sports. We LOVE American Football! So be ready to here all about our favourite NFL and MLB teams.

Episode 6 - New Year New Me
#podcast/episode6
So…I got a visa this week. Yay. The mystery is revealed in this episode.
This week we are talking about a few different things which spring up from a general catch up following my visa interview, and our year to date so far.
From September this year I will be going to Nashville TN to enrol in a programme called the School of Supernatural Life with Grace Center Church. If you’d like more information about what I will be doing check out the page here.
We also talked about some of the specifics of our church, our friendships, healing, generational curses, and the hard grind of making a podcast. So, this week is a bit of a random one but the end summary shows that all these things are linked and have helped us to arrive where we are today.

Episode 3 - Macs, Apps and Snacks...
#podcast/episode3
This week’s episode deviates slightly from the trajectory of past episodes, but as promised no topic is niche. This week stemmed from an interesting conversation I had with Si before recording, in which he disclosed he had been looking into apple products. So we decided to talk about our experience of different computing technology, podcasting apps, and some of our favourite software (oh and we once again ate pinballs throughout, apologies for the munching).
If you’re interested in looking into any of the things we talked about here is a list of some of our favourite items from the show:
MacBook Pro and MacBook Air
iPod touch
Apple Refurbished Items
Bear - notes app (Mac OS and iOS only)
Overcast
Soundcloud
Microsoft Publisher
Canva
Google Home
Join us next time for an insight into our experience of university.
