Emotional Intelligence and Resilience in Teacher Education

Emotional Intelligence and Resilience are very important components of the required skills in Teacher Education. Teachers with a good balance of Emotional Intelligence and Resilience will be able to perform their very best in their role as Teachers. They can also pass on the positive influence to their learners, either directly or indirectly for the best outcome.

It is said that “Emotional Intelligence is the bedrock of success, whenever you are working with people. It makes you a needs driven-teacher, which is a lot better than being an ego driven Teacher” – Towella Ngambi.

This webinar addresses the following questions and more:

  • How the Teacher training process ensures that emotional intelligence and resilience are part of the learning in Teacher Education.
  • How Teachers acquire and display these skills in their teaching.
  • What ways could these skills be measured and evaluated.
