Myc Sharratt: Music, Hockey, and growing up in Nanaimo
I sat down with a good friend Myc Sharratt. This one is a bit different than other episodes as there is a lot of familiarity and banter between us. I wanted to get Myc on to discuss some daily acts of resurgence through art and sport and it's great to see how far he's come as a musician. As two half-breeds coming up together in hockey, school, and in the same neighborhood we naturally became good friends, and we reflect on some of these experiences some 20 years later. Myc recently performed a concert with his band and a dozen members of the Vancouver Island Symphony and I can honestly say it was one of the best performances I've ever seen. You can check his music out on Spotify and YouTube

Within the podcast I share my experience in researching the issue of including sport and culture to heal and decolonize and I have done so through accessing resources from many researchers along the way. The references I make can be accessed through the show notes.
