K.L. Gilchrist is an author of "Commercial Fiction with a Godly Message". I've been a committed Christian for nearly 30 years, but it took more than 20 years before I turned my novel writing dream into a reality. I've written and pitched books to publishers and experienced rejection for more than five years. But how many of us know that when God gives a vision, he expects you to carry it out? Out of frustration I turned to self-publishing and today, every time I look at a sales report email, I just look up at God and praise Him. The publishing industry is changing and God's message is becoming harder and harder to market, and it can even be viewed as hate speech. However, God is good and he continues giving me ideas to write about. I've been able to sell novels. He has put me in rooms with authors who have phenomenal success. Jazmyn Bradford was raised in a single-parent household in Inkster, MI and as the eldest child. Her natural

instinct is to always protect, care for and mentor those around her. She believes it’s important to start off with this

fact as it has molded her into becoming the woman she is today. Her mother raised her and her siblings to be an

asset to society, rather than a burden. Her mother had high, but reasonable, expectations for their success as it related

to their academics, behavior and social settings. Due to Bradford’s upbringing, she was influenced to be a positive

contributor in each space she reached in life. As she continues to face life challenges, Jazmyn strives to be the best

version of herself and an honest example for those she’s around.

In her efforts to be an asset to society, she studied the field of social work in receiving her bachelor's at

Michigan State University in May 2020 and Masters of Social Work at University of Michigan (Ann Arbor) in

August 2021. As a professional studying this field, she has gained knowledge that allows her to see the bigger

picture in any situation. She believes that although we must acknowledge the wrongs being done on an individual

and community spectrum, the knowing of one’s values and circumstances hold immense value as well. Based on her

own life experiences, she’s learned that there’s more to one’s situation than someone else could see. Therefore, she

does her best to seek equitable and justifiable solutions in helping those learn from experiences and grow to be

greater assets in this world.

My name is Britney Gilliam, born and raised in Detroit, Michigan. I grew up in a single parent household. My mother worked hard to provide for all four of her children. Involving myself in the Christian Church at a young age, I now withhold values such as having faith, loving others, and treating others as one wishes to be treated. I pursued nursing and became a licensed practical nurse back in 2014. I have worked in the medical field since I was 19 years old. I empathize with helping others that are in need, especially in life changing situations. Working as a nurse allows me to open the compassionate side to me as I care for others. I realized that delivering quality care is an important aspect in the health care industry. Quality over quantity is often overlooked within the field. I was once in an abusive relationship, and a part of my mission is to reach out to others that have been victimized in domestic violence relationships. Part of my mission is to engage in community outreach programs that include volunteering at local shelters that serve women and their children who have become victims of domestic violence. Coping for me, includes speaking out about my past domestic issue, counseling, and  journaling my feelings. Perhaps I can assist others with coping skills to recognize troubling situations that may lead to any type of abuse. On March 18, 2020 I was injured due to a car accident. The popliteal artery in my right leg was severed causing compartment syndrome and I had an open dislocation of my right ankle. I needed emergency surgery in which a fasciotomy was performed at St. Mary’s hospital located in Livonia, Michigan. I was admitted to St. Mary’s hospital and I was there for a one- month period. There were more than 10 surgeries performed on my right ankle in an attempt to save my right leg. At one point I had a fixator on my right ankle for a period of 4 months in an attempt to correct the foot drop of my right foot. Physical therapy and occupational therapy were highly recommended in which my weekly routine revolved around medical appointments and therapy sessions. I have had many complications with my right ankle due to an ongoing infection called osteomyelitis. The intravenous antibiotics would only work for a short time then the signs and symptoms of infection would surface. I was at risk for sepsis therefore the doctors advised for a right leg amputation. At the end of September of 2021, I had a below the knee amputation of my right leg.  From March of 2020 up until now my life has dramatically changed in a tremendous way. During this journey my mental health suffered as I had to learn how to adapt to my new lifestyle changes. This included coping with depression, learning how to walk and managing my care for activities of daily living. My mental health directly affected myself motivation within the recovery process. I went through a multitude of duress, stress and impacted self-image. My priorities shifted from my passions to my overall recovery with my physical and mental health. As of today, I am blessed to be in a much better head space mentally. I utilize all my resources of support. I thank God for allowing me to live on and continue to heal.

Trading in Color is a private mentorship course founded by Essence Coats in which she is the owner, educator and primary mentor of the company. Trading in Color offers technical analysis strategies to help develop or improve new and seasoned traders. After over a year of Multi Level Marketing groups promising false results and improper education of the skill, Essence took her education into her own hands. In 2014, Lady Bain lost her job as a police officer in the city of Detroit due to a near-fatal accident. During her recovery process, she began to notice that her skin began to respond negatively to the medicine she was taking daily. Lady Bain, as a last-ditch effort decided to submit to a vegan lifestyle to not only better her health, but to also commit to the well-being and love for animals. Malika Williams is the founder of a nonprofit organization called The L.I.V.E Outreach. L.I.V.E provides

resources and tools to young teen girl’s transitioning from foster care to independency. Malika’s key

demographic is the next generation of people her mission is to provide support, encouragement while

Malika is a self-published author of an autobiography titled “I’m just trying to L.I.V.E” the book provides

insight on her life growing up in the foster care system and how she managed to turn her bad

circumstances into a learning one. This experience is what turned her passion into her purpose.

In May 2014 Malika received an Associate’s Degree in Business Administration she decided to further

In the midst of a booming ~20 year Corporate career, Ke found herself in 2019 on the brink of a breakdown resulting

from grief, anxiety & depression that had gone unacknowledged or treated. With the help of therapy, Ke embarked on

a journey of self-discovery that uncovered many internal “scars” and a lack of self-love that had been masked for

years. This ignited a passion to not only heal and love herself completely but also help other women who may be

suffering in silence and “shackled” by scars they are afraid to face.

In 2021, Ke publicly started speaking out about her mental health struggles, dealing with alopecia, and the associated

shame & stigma. During this time, she also founded MP SAVAGE Hair, which provides glueless, natural looking,

beginner-friendly, braided wig units and fitting/consultation services. Birthed directly from her personal alopecia

journey and the renewed confidence she found wearing wigs as her alopecia worsened, MP Savage Hair is dedicated

to helping women look and feel beautiful no matter what they may be dealing with.

Ke decided to exclusively provide braided wig units, as braids are a staple in black culture and are often missed by

black women with hair loss/hair challenges. Additionally, she wanted to provide a less risky (stress to hair/hair loss) &

less costly (time & money) option for ANY woman who desires to wear braided styles.

For Ke, MP SAVAGE Hair is more than just selling wigs. It's about providing a physical & mental transformation to her

clients, many who are dealing with hair loss as a result of medical conditions or treatment (such as alopecia or

chemo). She infuses her years of research, trial & error, and experience as a wig consumer with her current self-

love/self discovery journey and mission to be “S.A.V.A.G.E. AF” to create a special & personal experience for her

clients, who she affectionately refer to as QUEENS.

S.A.V.A.G.E. which Ke defines as (STRONG- AUTHENTIC- VICTORIOUS- AMAZING- GRACEFUL- ENOUGH) is

her personal mantra and also at the center of her company’s core. Being SAVAGE is all about loving yourself

unconditionally and not letting anyone or anything (including a condition or diagnosis) define your value or make you

feel less than the queen God created you to be.

Ke is just getting started on her mission to help as many women as possible to live FEARLESSLY &

several offerings that will fall under her company, HerSAVAGE, which will be rolled out this year. HerSAVAGE will

Ke currently resides in Romulus, MI with her husband and two children. Her daughter is her business partner. She is

a DPS graduate (Bates Academy & Cass Tech), has a B.S. in Mgt Information Systems, & an Executive MBA from

Carla Robinson is the wife of Pastor Glenn Robinson. While being an ordained Pastor herself since 2008. She is the founder of a virtual ministry, called Speaking A Word In Due Season. Carla has sought to help empower, inspire, educate neglected, addicted abused women in 2007-2008; Along with ministering to the sick and shut-in. 

She is committed to serving in a servant capacity in her community for over the last 28 years with Christian Youth and troubled teens at Juvenile Justice Center and Warren Family Mission alongside her husband doing various community services activities and events.

Along with having 20 plus years in the Healthcare industry, Education, Community Advocacy, and Motivational Speaking. Her vast educational studies include Anatomy & Physiology, Phlebotomy, Business, and General Studies. She has attended and received various certifications from institutions.
