Faith in Manchester

Manchester City Mission has a significant role in our city centre, caring for homeless people in the name of Jesus. It shares Christian love and the message of hope in Jesus through its three pillars: Incarnation, Compassion, Proclamation. 

This episode features the work of two Manchester city centre Christian ministries.
Paul Keeble tells us about Manchester Street Pastors, who support people on the streets at night. Sid Williams introduces the work of the Embassy bus, a luxury tour bus which has become a shelter for homeless people.
Both were at Christian Resources Exhibition North where they spoke to our host Wayne Clarke.

Dana, now appearing on the BBC series Pilgrimage, made her name in 1970 as a teenager winning Eurovision for Ireland. Since then she has been a prolific recording artist, an MEP and a campaigner for Christian causes.
She came to Manchester to open the Christian Resources Exhibition, where Faith in Manchester spoke to her about Pilgrimage, music, and (yes) Brexit.
In this episode we hear the children's choir who sang a specially written version of Dana's song "All Kinds of Everything" at the opening of CRE, Dana opening the Exhibition and then her conversation with Faith in Manchester's Wayne Clarke.

Episode three of the Faith in Manchester podcast. Wayne speaks to Manchester-based comedian Tony Vino. Tony is an established comic on the comedy circuit and is also in demand for church and outreach events.
