We're back! This week we're hearing two stories from the Bible that show us how God makes us brave, and when we're brave, we put our faith into action. Our stories come from Numbers 13:1-14:10 and Joshua 9 & 10, and our highlighted verse is Joshua 1:9.

Today's Bible story is about when Jesus entered Jerusalem on a donkey from Mark 1:1-11. It's the first in our four week series about the stories leading up to Easter. We used the New Living Translation of the Bible. 

Today's Bible story is when Jesus fed 4000 people in Matthew 15:29-39. We used the NIrV translation of the Bible. Our big idea is "I can say, 'Thank you, Jesus!'"

Today's story is from Matthew 21:12-17 where Jesus clears the temple, teaching us that Jesus wants us to stand up for what's right. We also take a very practical look at what it looks like to stand up for what's right when you see someone being treated wrongly.
Our memory verse is, "Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong." 1 Corinthians 16:13

Today's story is from Matthew 6:5-16 where Jesus teaches us how to pray.
Our memory verse is, "Then you will call out to me. You will come and pray to me. And I will listen to you." Jeremiah 29:12

Today's story is from Matthew 6:1-4 where Jesus teaches us to be generous and perform our good deeds in secret.
Our memory verse is, Then your giving will be done secretly. Your Father will reward you, because He sees what you do secretly." Matthew 6:4 NIrV

Today's story is from Matthew 5:38-48 where Jesus teaches us to love everyone, including our enemies.
Our memory verse is, “But here is what I tell you. Love your enemies. Pray for those who hurt you." Matthew 5:44 NIrV

This episode is for the parents and talks about what it means to rejoice in today because God made it. "This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it." Psalm 118:24

Today's story is from John 8;1-11 and talks about how Jesus forgives the sinner, and how we aren't supposed to judge.
Our memory verse is, “Do not judge, or you too will be judged." Matthew 1:7 (NIV)

Today's Bible story is when Jesus told the story of the Good Samaritan. We used the NIrV translation of the Bible. Our big idea is "Jesus wants me to love everyone."

Today's story is from Matthew 18:21-35 and talks about how we should forgive others.
Our memory verse is, “Forgive one another if you are holding something againt someone. Forgive, just as the Lord forgave you." Colossians 3:13b (NIrV)

Today's Bible story is about when Jesus stayed behind at the temple and everyone was amazed by how much He knew about God. We used the NIrV translation of the Bible. Our big idea is "Jesus is the Special Son of God."

Today's story is from Matthew 9 when Jesus ate dinner with tax collectors and sinners. We're talking about how much Jesus wants to be with us, even though we sin (and let's face it--we all sin).
Our memory verse is, “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” Romans 8:23 (NIrV)

This episode is for the parents and takes an in depth look at the elementary kids' verse this week, Matthew 11:28-30. How does Jesus meet you in the midst of your chaos and help you reach a place of contentment, a place of rest? Welcome back in the New Year! We're in the New Testament now, looking at the life of Jesus. Today's story is about when a paralyzed man was brought to Jesus. Not only was his body healed, and made to walk again, but his sins were forgiven as well!

This week we're continuing on in the Old Testament and hearing about when God gave Isaiah a vision and made him a prophet. We then look toward Christmas through a prophecy about Jesus. Our story comes from Isaiah 6 & 53.

Today's Bible story about when an angel told Zechariah his wife, Elizabeth, would have a baby. This baby, John, would have a special job to do for God. We used the NIrV translation of the Bible. Our big idea is "All of God's words are true."

This week we're hearing the story of when David was in need of forgiveness. Today's story teaches us God is merciful, so we can go to Him for forgiveness, and comes from 2 Samuel 11.
Our memory verse is, “Even though your sins are bright red, they will be white as snow. Even though they are deep red, they will be white like wool.” Isaiah 1:18.

Today's Bible story about when God gave Jonah a message for the Ninevites, and Jonah ran away. We used the NIrV translation of the Bible. Our big idea is "God's way is the best way."

This week we're hearing the story of David when he didn't take revenge on King Saul. Today's story teaches us how God wants us to live in peace, so we should avoid taking revenge on others, and comes from 1 Samuel 23-24, 26 & 31.
Our memory verse is, “Make sure that no one pays back one wrong act with another. Instead, always try to do what is good for each other and for everyone else.” 1 Thessalonians 5:15.

Today's Bible story about when God saved Daniel from the lions in Daniel 6. We used the NIrV translation of the Bible. Our big idea is "God's way is the best way."

This week we're hearing the story of David and Goliath and how it teaches that God is with you and will give you strength, so you can stand up to your fears. Our story comes from 1 Samuel 17.
Our memory verse is, "So do not be afraid. I am with you. Do not be terrified. I am your God. I will make you strong and help you. I will hold you safe in my hands." Isaiah 41:10

We're kicking off our stories that follow along with what our preschoolers are learning each week! Today's Bible story about Naaman being healed comes from 2 Kings 5:1-15 and we used the NIrV translation of the Bible. Our big idea is "God takes care of us."
