6: 1 Samuel 8 & 16:1-13

This week we're hearing about the difference between what people find impressive and what God finds impressive. We'll hear the story about how Israel demanded a king, and then how God chose a better king. Our story comes from 1 Samuel 8 and 16.
Our memory verse is, "People look at the outside of a person. But the Lord looks at what is in the heart." 1 Samuel 16:7b

All scripture is from the NIrV and follows along with the "Go! Curriculum" we use on Sunday mornings. The Laugh & Learn Bible for Kids by Phil Vischer was also a resource for this episode.

4: Judges 13-16

4: Judges 13-16

This week we're reading a story about Samson from Judges 13-16 that shows us that God desires righteousness and wants us to control our anger.
Our memory verse is, “Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry, because human anger does not produce the righteousness that God desires.” James 1:19-20
