Carly Ann Filbin gets Famously dumped out of NO WHERE in our most recent dumping situation. Carly Ann was in a 6 week quarantine long distance relationship where she was completely gaslit. Yup, it's an episode about a man gaslighting a woman. And it's a good one. Carly Ann says to get through it you GOTTA journal and maybe go on a 10 day meditation retreat. But definitely journal the shit out of it.

Adam Newman gets Famously Dumped by an ex-girlfriend he met back in the MySpace days. It was a very classic breakup where she texted "can I come over?" and that was that. Adam completely shutdown and found out she left him for a magician. Yup a magician. Ouch. His main advice: GO SLEEP WITH WHOEVER YOU WANT. Hey, it works for some people.

Carolyn Bergier gets Famously Dumped by her ex-wife who she met on Craigslist, but don't worry it was pre-Craigslist murderer. She settles down with someone she thought was stable. The first warning sign of getting dumped: the ex unfollows Carolyn on twitter. How Carolyn got over it: a spiritual awakening in a German Roman bathhouse. So if you can get yourself to Germany, you too can get over a divorce naked and submerged in water.

Ryan O'Connor is Famously Dumped by his ex-husband. They met on BiggerCity.com, a place to find bigger men, and it went from hookup to living together to marriage very quickly. We talk about addiction, not being sexually compatible, and an open marriage ultimately destroying a relationship. Ryan really took this breakup a day at a time: staying sober, not being in contact and feeling the feelings. If he'd gotten drunk, he'd have killed him. Literally. Ryan's words. WE LOVE THIS EP!

Anna Drezen gets Famously Dumped by a camp crush that she was together with for four DAYS. She brakes a lot of Famously Dumped records and really opens up to us. This episode is unbelievably funny as Anna is a crazy person who has dated any man she's ever met whether they know it or not. She really felt the sadness of the relationship and listened to a lot of Nora Jones, Coldplay XY, and the Lord of the Rings soundtrack. She also wrote poetry at an apple orchard while doing exercise. Although this breakup happened when she was a teen, the coping mechanisms really hold up if you're an adult.

Jerah Milligan gets Famously Dumped, but it's MESSY. He's in the process of potentially getting back together with this woman but we have to go back and rehash how she dumped him: through a text, while they were on the phone together. Jerah says for him, you need to just walk it out and start addressing things in yourself. But the question is, will he get back together with this girl? We don't find out in the episode, so your guess is as good as ours.

Lesley Arfin gets Famously Dumped in one of the most heart wrenching ways: GHOSTED. 100% ghosted. And she went absolutely full psycho. She wrote, drank, did a lot of drugs and "abused" herself to get through it. OOF, this one was the most stinging pain she'd ever felt and repressed it until she got sober. And her advice: just go through it and don't die. Period.

Alice get's famously dumped and uses booze, sex, and a weird amount of vandalism to cope. Morgan and Alice go a little off script here as they dig into more of the philosophy and existential-ness of being dumped and how it can completely transform your life if you let it. Pain is the touchstone of growth. We learn a little more about Morgan's story and they discuss how once you've come to terms with how solid your life can be without a partner, that's usually when the best partner shows up. An incredibly poignant and beautiful episode!

Pat Regan (famously very gay) gets dumped by his college GIRLFRIEND and track teammate. Pat and Morgan are two gay party peas in a pod - a couple of alcoholic homos who used to date straight and party too hard. They talk about sexuality, addiction, gaining humility through sobriety, and how if you could have done things differently, you would have. It's about growing from our mistakes and ultimately, coming to terms with our sexuality.

Anna Roisman's college boyfriend literally walks out the door after 8 years of dating and never returns. Talk about a theatrical moment - fitting that they met doing college musicals. Anna feared he was truly losing his mind based on his erratic and confusing behavior, but in actuality he was battling addiction and trauma (so not far off). Anna and Morgan explore how addiction creates chaos in relationships and brews unhealthy codependency. When you realize YOU cannot save your significant other and they have to do it on their own - that one HURTS because you have lost any sort of control. But should anyone be controlling anything in relationships?

Usama get's dumped in a truly chaotic way by an unhinged woman who potentially had a psychotic break during the dump - basically Morgan when she was 25 years old. Usama poignantly explains that America doesn't value the muscle of cognition and reflection. While America puts value solely on achievement, other cultures value the process - embracing growth and pain as you detach from the actual event. Also, Usama gives Morgan the best compliment she's ever been given

Oh man, this is one of our craziest Famously Dumped stories yet - Emma gets ghosted by a girl she really only dated, but obsessively clung on to as if they were girlfriends. This led to some serious chaos and a relapse. Psychotically, a TV show approaches her about doing a segment on getting ghosted and she elaborately tries to convince the producers that this girl was in fact her girlfriend, when she was not...AT ALL.

Emma Willmann gets dumped twice and wants to spill both stories on Famously Dumped. In part one, Emma is dumped by her costal long-distance college girlfriend who actually sets a very mature boundary around the breakup. Emma explains that as us lesbians do, this breakup involved a lot of "processing." Lesbians LOVE to process.

Morgan talks to comedian Jared Freid about the time on birthright when he came so fast it basically warranted a breakup. When the lights are turned off on the relationship, Jared has some intense realizations as he compares himself to Lenny from Of Mice and Men: holding on too tight is never a good sign.

Morgan talks to comedian and writer Corinne Fischer about how getting dumped actually skyrocketed her career. After some serious grieving, she, like me, started a podcast and then wrote an entire book about it called F*cked. She literally gives step by step directions on how to navigate a breakup - it's brilliant.

Morgan gets a phone call from her best friend Patrick to tell him the bad news. Morgan in real life did almost relapse and check herself into a psych ward... it was dark before there was light. Love you Patrick. Patrick?
