On this episode, we are joined by our first NCAA D3 player: Connor Galloway! Gally is a sophomore at SUNY Brockport, where he just came off of an outstanding season with the Golden Eagles. Originally from Georgia, he played two seasons with the Boston Jr. Rangers in the Eastern Hockey League, where he was Biz's captain for one of those years. We go over his playing days in Georgia, his off-ice habits/ritual, why he had such a successful season, running your own race, and much, much more (22:25)! This episode features our first guest from Minnesota, Matt Koethe! Koethe is currently a sophomore on the University of Alaska Fairbanks hockey team. He played high school hockey at Minnetonka, where he won a state championship his senior year and then played two years for the Fairbanks Ice Dogs in the NAHL. He details the ups and downs he has experienced so far and how he has managed to remain patient through it all (32:30). Before we talk with him, Biz and Zuk discuss the Minnesota High School State Tournament "The Tourney" and Zuk's experience there (6:40), having winning and losing seasons (16:15), and how to prepare for playoffs (25:15).
