The Importance of Creativity and Compassion in Healing -with Jeanne Bessette

Meet Jeanne Bessette-
Creativity is so powerful it invites our inner curiosity to channel our highest spirit. It connects us to our deepest emotions and guides us toward inspiration and awe, and that brings forth our true self. Jeanne Bessette’s art hangs in the homes of thousands of private collectors and some notable public figures. She has enjoyed working with actors, directors, and producers of films, musicians, authors, and television celebrities alike.
By 2014, after many years of trial and error, Jeanne was represented by over 24 galleries in the U.S. and in Canada. By 2016 Jeanne was successfully producing and selling over 500 works of art yearly, and she was beginning to feel the pressure of that level of success as a mid-career artist.
In 2018 Jeanne made a monumental decision to change the way she was working. So she removed all of my art from the galleries and took some time to work on her soul and recalibrate who she was as an artist.
Jeanne hired spiritual mentors and guides and dove into my truth as an artist, a healer, and a psychic being. What has come of that is the work you can now see as conscious art.
Her career continues to thrive and is built upon a discerning clientele in a much more personal way. Working one-on-one and through dealers who understand that the relationship between artist and client is important and that true art is not just something we hang in our spaces but something that is alive.

Healing the Soul: The Power of Plant Medicine- With Nick Motycka
In this episode I sat down with former police officer turned entrepreneur, Nick Motycka. He shared with me openly about his experience with Psilocybin and how it forever changed his healing journey and life!
Nick grew up in Alberta with a father who was a member of the RCMP. This along with his wounded inner child had a major influence on his law enforcement career choice. Nick went on to spend his entire adult life, 23 years, in various enforcement-related positions; security, loss prevention, bylaw services, Canada Customs, Court and Prisoner Services, as a regular member of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police and finally as a member of the Calgary Police Service. Nick spent time on the street with both agencies, in a Crime Reduction Unit, Drug Unit, Drug Undercover Street Team, Gang Suppression Team and finally a short stint in the Public and Media Relations Unit before his breakthrough, formally known as a breakdown, on September 16th, 2020.
Nick was diagnosed with PTSD and set off on a journey to finally process the traumas collected during his career in law enforcement. A year and half in, countless psychologist and occupational therapist appointments later, he was able to finally get the help that he needed; one psilocybin assisted therapy session. With clear intentions and a strong willingness to do the work, Nick went from severe PTSD to no longer meeting the criteria for any diagnosis.
With a new sense of clarity and the amazing support of his family, Nick resigned from the only profession that he had ever known. Nick now spends his time sharing his story of healing and post-traumatic growth while going all in on his dream to bring consciously made, natural fiber clothing to the world through his apparel brand; Flow State Designs!

Celebrating The Other Side of Trauma... The Goode Life!-With Demetria Goode
In this episode, I sat down with Demetria Goode, founder of The Goode Fight, to chat about how she turned her near-death experience into a powerful catalyst for helping others.
In November of 2021, CEO Demetria Goode, founded The Goode Fight, LLC after she was brutally beaten and stabbed by her Ex six times in 2013. Burdened by trauma and pain, she believed it would stop in death, and attempted to take her own life. Demetria’s plan was interrupted when her youngest daughter described how much she loved and adored her. From that point, she took on a new, positive, and fresh outlook on life.
Determined to heal, she began the process of loving herself in the past, present, and future. Obstacle after obstacle, Demetria started to confront, accept, and acknowledge what it was she did have control over in her life. The road to healing would form the foundation and basis of the inception of The Goode Fight.
The mission of The Goode Fight, LLC is to positively impact the lives of victims affected by domestic violence or life trauma. We strive to complete this mission by making connections and sharing life experiences in a group setting, or in individual sessions. The Goode Fight's vision is to help others with support they may not otherwise have within a space free of judgment.
Demetria is a firm believer that opening up and sharing your story within a welcoming community through the platform of The Goode Fight will help others going through similar experiences.

Stay or Die: Learning To Love After Leaving Abuse - With Amy Frame
In this episode, I had a very lively and heartfelt conversation with Amy Frame. Amy shared her story of freeing herself from an abusive marriage, moving across the country, finding the love of her life, and how her own healing journey lead to her helping other women travel through their healing too.
At the age of 18, Amy Frame joined the military and left for basic training on Sept 18th, 2001. She spent one year overseas in Iraq, where she met her partner for the next nine years. This relationship was Co-dependent and completely unhealthy. Amy learned this model from her mother. After nine years of increasing abuse from both sides, she left after he threatened her life.
It took years for Amy to heal from the pain of that experience, and along the way, a whole new identity emerged. She was an Emergency room Nurse by the time the relationship came to an end and Amy packed up everything she owned, quit her job, and moved back home. Then she spent a total of 12 years as a bedside nurse. Two years ago, Amy stepped away from bedside nursing and created a practice where now she works on healing souls.
Over the years, Amy has learned two things, Life is short, and healing begins with the soul, not the body. It is here that she created her Coaching Practice. Now she spends her days working with individuals whose wounds cannot always be seen. Amy says, "It’s the most impactful work I have ever been called to do."

Family Secrets: Perfect On The Outside- with Brittany Storti
In this episode, I had the distinct blessing of talking with Brittany Storti about her personal journey to recovery and healing. She shared openly with me about her journey through addiction, and loss, and how she found freedom from parental narcissistic abuse. Today Brittany works with other women to help them find their own bridge from surviving to thriving.
Brittany's story is all about a young girl who was constantly told that she would never be enough. Her voice became public on The Dr Oz Show in March 2012 where she started a long journey towards healing. Brittany has fought through, not only your traditional "coming of age" difficulties, but a heart-wrenching road of eating disorders, addiction, homelessness, losing a sibling to suicide, and parental narcissistic abuse.

Brittany is the proud founder of The Bridge Coaching Services- a program designed to bridge the gap between where you are and where you are meant to be.

Learning to Drop The Excuses and Heal Yourself- with Maurice F. Martin
In this episode, I sat down for a very open and heartfelt conversation with Maurice about the healing journey after trauma. As all my episodes do, this conversation travels down a path of discussing self-care, love, and how Maurice is helping people move away from the excuses which keep us bound to our past.
Facing a crossroads, Maurice F. Martin chose a path less traveled, the life-changing journey of healing, growth, and purpose. His second book, Your But is Too Big: 7 Principles That Empower You To Heal Past Hurts and Get Motivated to Find Purpose was written to help you heal your past wounds, discover who you really are, and live a peaceful, purpose-driven life. A Step-by-Step Path To Healing After Abuse-with Diane Simboro
Dianne Simboro is a recovery coach, behavioral profiler and consultant who works with survivors of family violence to assist with their recovery after they exhaust all available government-sponsored crisis support. From her own lived experience of violence and her ten years of professional experience working with more than five hundred other survivors, Dianne developed effective step-by-step strategies to disentangle the layers of trauma and conditioning in the mindset of survivors. By unlocking the ‘what happened and why’ behind family violence in a way that is easy to comprehend, Dianne found that the women were more able to let go of their past, regain their confidence and move forward to create a better future for themselves and their children, skipping the revolving door cycle of violence.

Thriving in Life After Abuse and Addiction- with Katie Lain
In this episode, I sat down with Katie Lain to talk about how domestic violence and addiction often go hand in hand. To escape the devastating realities of her home life, Katie found herself turning to alcohol more and more finding herself hopelessly addicted. Even after she freed herself from her abuser, the addiction remained but not forever. Listen with me as Katie shares her story of how she found her own way to thrive after abuse and addiction.
Katie Lain struggled with alcohol addiction for almost 10 years – cycling in and out of periods of abstinence and relapse. She desperately wanted to fix her drinking problem, but couldn’t figure out how. But in 2017, she finally escaped this cycle when she learned about a medication-assisted treatment for alcohol dependence called The Sinclair Method (TSM).TSM is a clinically-proven treatment for alcohol addiction discovered in the 1990s and helps people reduce heavy drinking and eliminate alcohol cravings over time. Katie gradually reduced her drinking through this method, to the point of going completely (and accidentally) alcohol-free one year after she started. She now runs Thrive Alcohol Recovery where she offers a comprehensive program for The Sinclair Method, and she also serves as an advocate for this method – reaching thousands of people through her social media channels.

How to Be Unstopable In Life and Loving Yourself- with Lyndsay Soprano
In this episode, I sat down for an open and surprising conversation with marketing expert and podcast host, Lyndsay Soprano. During our conversation she shared with me newly discovered memories about her own trauma as well as how she is bravely tackling her pain journey.
Lyndsay was diagnosed with Chronic Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS) a little over 6 years ago (as of Jan 2023). CRPS is one of the most painful diseases on earth. On The McGill's Pain Scale, it is higher in pain than natural childbirth!
Lyndsay rocks the world of chronic pain and illness. It has been quite a ride to get her to where she is today. After years of being misdiagnosed, poked and prodded, big Pharma attacked, and botched surgeries, she decided to take things into her own hands and try to heal herself.
Having fallen into every Western medicine trap on the planet, she is now advocating for a trauma-informed approach to care and wellness.
Insert The Pain Game Podcast where she thrives on getting to the heart of how to heal with you by her side. She has now dedicated her life to healing herself and others on their journeys through chronic pain.
