Formula 2 and FIA Formula 3 were both in action over the weekend at Imola. Craig Woollard, Alejandro Alonso Lopez, who was on the ground for Formula Scout, and Bethonie Waring dissect the weekend, including more race direction controversy, a driver nearing a race ban, a pair of drivers both losing and gaining a podium through last-lap clashes and a pair of maiden victories among much, much more.

Formula 4's new era in Europe in 2022: All you need to know
The team brings you up to date with all of the ins and outs of the various European Formula 4 championships in 2022, as the new era gets underway with the Gen2 cars. Britain's championship is now more aligned with Italy, Germany and Spain, while France has continued in a different direction and even has had its season opener. F1 juniors, second and third-generation drivers will all be in the mix, but there are plenty of other interesting drivers making the step into these categories this year to keep an eye on.
On top of that, the Danish championship will also be in action once again, but with the older machines, while the new ACCR championship hasn't quite got things underway yet. All of this is previewed in this week's episode.

In conversation with legendary junior single-seater team boss Ralph Firman Sr.
On this week's show, we have a special interview with Ralph Firman Sr, the former boss and co-founder of the Van Diemen outfit. The marque is perhaps best-known for its longstanding history in Formula Ford racing but also has raced in Formula Renault, Formula 3 and in the United States. Motorsport greats to have raced in Van Diemens include Ayrton Senna, Dan Wheldon, Mark Webber, Jason Plato and Eddie Irvine to name but a few, some in the famous Duckhams Racing colours. Ida Wood caught up with Firman during last year's Formula Ford Festival, where he was watching his old friend Roberto Moreno in action in a Van Diemen of the same specification he ran way back in 1980.
